Morning, kids... the Horse is finally coming free of this now...9 day awful cold ...yes, I took the Covid test...it was not that...but, whatever the virus was...it got me...non-stop coughing...and lethargy...well, Boss said that part was hard to tell...it is still hanging on, but not as bad... Out of the blue, was this article that said the FDC released...that all these cold remedies...DON'T WORK! ...like placebos...what?...it took them how many years to tell the World?...hmmm, the best remedy is fluids, rest and let the damn virus works it's way out...really?... are they saying Dayquil and Nyquil are bogus?...and the copycats? ...there must be something that does...saw this on the tele, and was a solid story through my 23 sources...man...I feel duped...we ALL should... The book I am reading and used yesterday in my blog...unbeknownst to me...has a film of it coming out October 20th...via Apple + TV ... Probably the least talked about in the news...of all things...a Cyber Attack at MGM Resorts in Vegas ...ah, well, all over their system...hotels nationwide... shutting down the technology of it all...like the slot machines, the reservation system, and them bloody room keys ...they wouldn't work...you were _hit outta luck...your room would not open...who knows what else was hampered, or shuttered... this was Sunday eve...as of late last nite, Tuesday, they said they were 'operational' ...meaning, you could get into your room...this resort chain, has at least 5 other casinos on the strip...same fate... somehow, the news of this, had little legs...why?...just had to be squashed... tourism, kids...tourism ... The hot item of the morning...the escaped convict in Pennsylvania was captured ...2 weeks of hiding, and the hunt was over...surprisingly, no one killed...ie, him...alls well, that ends well...something like that... The team that I followed while a youngster...the Clevelan...

It all went down...ah, well, Aaron Rodgers did...in the 1st series of the game...as the 'new' look NY Jets took a big hit...POOF!...just like that, Rodgers was out...ankle injury was the immediate diagnosis...closer look, showed it was probably...the achilles...the most fragile tendon for all athletes...it was a disaster, for the 80,000+ fans in New Jersey...silence went the crowd...and, even, Peyton Manning, predicted a loss thereafter...wait, kids...this team is more than 1 guy...a terrific D...and the Jets beat the Bills in OT... For most Americans, the numbers 9/11...stand for the attack on the USA ...that we could not fathom...how it was done, unfathomable... one of the incidents, that we know where we were, what we were doing, and how shocking it was...the passenger planes, used as weapons.... We were in Sunriver, Oregon...had just left our son at college, Pomona, in Claremont, California ...in a few days, were to fly to Maui, to celebrate our anniversary...as we watched in horror on the pixels...that morning...it was surreal...how could this be happening?...we are impenetrable...oh yea, and we canceled our Hawaiian trip... Less than 2 weeks prior, we were in New York City...as Cris was looking at a dental school there at Columbia ...we were all over that island of Manhattan...including a scenic boat trip around it... where I, unknowingly, took a picture of the Twin Towers ...yes, those who had the planes that take them down...and, the idea we got back on those jets to get back to the left coast...just like ...

The Horse had a small relapse ...probably shouldn't have gone to the races... as the cold and coughing, increased ...alas, the TV was the salvation...along with countless Excedrins, fluids, and cough drops... as I was busy switching channels back and forth...from the Ducks /Texas Tech game, and the Bama/ Texas one ...both nail biters...the latter was a doozy,  and the former, not played so well... UO survived and I do mean, survived ...but, the Vegas line was 6 1/2...hmmm... and the Longhorns simply outgunned the Tide ...an upset?...you betcha... The Beavs, Trojans, Utes, Cougs, and Bruins, all held service ...and the show continues on, in the imploding Pac 12...there are some really good teams in the last year of it... oh yea, and the Prime guy, had his team rock the Nebraskans ...recall when they were a good squad?...been a long time...
