You can't find the line on the Duck's opening day game...versus the South Dakota Coyotes ...hmmm... how much did the visitors get for coming to Autzen? ...be careful, my friends...just ask Michigan when they paid Appy St a few years back...and then they came into Mich and upset 'em... Did watch the next opponent in Mich St in action vs Jax St...a mighty tuff Spartan group, kids ...and well, that's a week away...take care of what's at hand.... Game Day ...ESPN's thorough coverage of the day's games...really do enjoy the show...however, they do spend an overabundant amount of time on the Irish ...every week...I suppose there are a whole gaggle of Catholics that have to get their fill...I digress... What is happening in Trojan land? ...new coach...and yet, trouble...is it the climate there?...or, just some bad blokes that have been inherited ...one player quit, calling out the coach as a bigot...what?...can't imagine that  in this day and age...no...

The colleges got at it last night...and fuggit about Johnny Football.... Texas A&M has a new gunslinger...as they took it to the highly favored South Carolina Gamecocks...nice name, huh...who are coached by the legend, Steve Spurrier...the Aggies were in the 50's, and could have put up 60+...but were nice and enough is enough... And a very average Rutgers team, which has switched leagues to the Big 10 (really?), found a way to beat the defenseless Cougs of WSU...credit them with a decent spread O...which may score a lot of points...BUT...they NEVER run the ball...and the QB folds like a tinker toy...not a good scenario in the long run...I am going to hear grumblings in the Palouse soon...ha ha...and why did they play the game in Seattle?...good for the Jerseyites, but no so for the WSU faithful...I guess... The Bolts won their last pre-season game versus the Cards...4 fg's to their 3 fg's....eegads, imagine sitting thru that one...and...the afore mentioned John...

Just a lot of noise going on...and weird is the terminology I am thinking... Did you hear about the USC football star that concocted a reason for spraining both of his ankles?...a story of salvation...that turned out to be a lie...and now...he is suspended...and the rest of the story is forthcoming...and it doesn't look to be so good... Russia and their reclamation act...call it what you want, but it sure seems like war to this blogger...what is the real reason for it?...almost always has to do with oil, somehow, right?... Brad and Angelina finally get hitched...what?...after 10 kids (?), I thought this was already a done deal...and no fan fare...geez, they should have contacted Kris K and got it done right... Somehow, the mighty Pads got the series against the Brew Crew....did it in OT...winning hit by the C Rivera....who also saved the game in the 9th with a dinger...definitely the HERO!...day off, and then the hated Bums come to town.... College FB tonight...South ...

Just a quickie...as I was golfing this am...and am tired...102* degrees at Sycuan...I mean to tell you it was hot, hot, hot...I was doing better than expected...83...parred 6 of the last 7...lurve them streaks... Have you seen the HBO Show, Hard Knocks?...about and following the Atlanta Falcons...and it's old school coaching...F this, F that...makes me sick...I am pulling for them to be bad... Bachelors in Paradise...they keep adding more and more meat...er, contestants...and it is hard to figure how they can fall in lurve in two days...lust I could see... We are off to Old Town for some type of Mexi Meal...featuring margaritas...going by the trolley and return by Uber...or, so is the plan...if you haven't been there, it's a treat...so many restaurants to choose from...it's all planned and I am just a pawn... The mighty Pads try to get the series with the Brew Crew...starts an hour early...the Cuban, Despagne is going...not figuring on a W... This from the col...

Top of the morning to you...it is dang early, kids...you KNOW my displeasure in the awards season...and the dislike, especially, for the rich and famous getting more so...giving themselves a trophy...eegads, I digress... But, the Emmy's are a bit different in me mind...it is the tube...wait, no longer tubes...it's the pixels...which we do watch...and have favs...unfortunately, none of mine got one...in fact, if one looks at the numbers, the most watched rarely get 'em...it goes to the "academy" of voters...whoever that is... Seth Myers did a very nice job as host...did not rip on the famous patrons...er, wannabe winners...like some have done in the past...and kept the show moving at a good pace...the two shows that won most everything were "Breaking Bad" and "Modern Family" ....we've tried to watch 'em, and just don't get into them...most of our friends do...so it must be us...?...just can't fathom how "House of C...

Top of the morning to you, kids... the MTV Awards ...did you watch?...ha ha...Nikki with a grotey start to it all...the bumping and gyrating, like XXX style...I guess it's funny, right?...the Taylor Swift crossover...it seemed uncomfortable to me for some reason...giving the best video award to Cyrus...which in itself is a joke...and then she tried to do a humanitarian thing...like, right...and lordy, 20 minutes of Beyonce...what?...at an awards show?...puulllleeeeaaassseeee....and we move on... Buddy won his 600th game with the Pads ...really?...in this day and age of movement, er, firing...he has withstood a whole gaggle of GM's...convinced 'em all that he is the best that they can get...hmmm...who'd a guess that the team won 600 games in the last decade... College is kicking off this week...for a lot of schools...and with it, the beginning of football...easily my fav for the year...and a list of games that are fillers to start off...you know the type, big sp...

It's not necessarily a good thing to be bad in the NFL pre-season...the Bolts have been just that...so...is it due to the resting of their starters?...or is it that the team is not deep...or?...regardless, it is troublesome...as SD got whipped by the 49ers...a team that has been struggling in this time, too...my fear...is that our D is not so good...and not so well put together...OR...the pre-season means nuttin... The Pads won today...avoiding being swept by the lowly DBacks...and the record for the road trip?...3-7...not what you want if you are in the hunt for a wild card...huge doubts...HUGE...7 game home stand ahead...and must do well...MUST... The 2 day T at Sycuan is over...whew...as we were in 4th going in today...and playing against the blokes, 2 up on us...and we tied today...not a good thing...I had some very good moments...and feel strong about my game...really...hate the drive there...an issue...still... The Miley Cyrus Awards are on MTV this eve...the only way...
