Hey ya'll!... I am back home ...after a golfing excursion...fun times mostly,  until I wrenched my back and picked up some type of intestinal bug...have been in bed and missed the last day of the event...funny, but you don't realize how good, good is, until you are bad...I sense I am on the recovery track this am... How bout them Pads! ...their SP Tyson Ross , was flirting with a no hitter in 'Zona ...in the 8th...really...the problem is that his pitch count was in the 125 range...for a bloke who is coming off arm surgery, probably a real gamble...he gave up a 2 out double, that was misplayed in CF...too bad, as he would have made it thru 8...dang... no SD player has ever had a no no ...the bats came alive in the  9th and scored 3....and the closer closed... and voila, a win! ...but, what could have been... Due to me on my back...I gots to see lots of sports...ie, the weird collapse of the Cavs in Indy...they were in total control, and POOF...it was all gone...and the...

There is lots to like about the NBA playoffs ...that is if you are a hoop junkie...as the best in the game, finally get at it...there is a light at the end of the extremely loooong tunnel that these dudes play in...granted, they now get paid quite nicely...too well, if you ask moi...whatever... In lieu of the regular season of 82 games ...now, there is THE prize, that they all want... the Champ Ring ...much different than from the era that I grew up in...maybe, 16 teams or so...now it is 30...unlike the unmatched quality of the Bill Russell led Boston Celtics of the 60's , the teams in the here and now...may have 2 or 3 'stars'...Bill and Co, had like 6...really....I digress... So much hype about the Philly 76ers ...riding a nice winning streak...drew the Heat in the first round and subsequently clobbered them in the first fray...not so, in game 2...as the, in the now, legendary Dwayne Wade ...turned back HIS clock and dominated the 4th Q...terrific play and that s...

Such an odd phenomena...listening to a panel of 'political experts' , showering us commoners...with their take on the CBS's interview of James Comey ...the former FBI Head ...like for 3 different Presidents of our Country...W Bush, Obama, and Trump ...this is the odd thing...the verbiage they were delivering...is prior to us, the left coast, who have yet to see it...they are on the right coast...and it has already aired... I jockeyed back and forth between CNN and FOX ...thinking that there would be  point, counterpoint...thoughts ...you know, contrasting stances...not so....as the analysts were eerily similar...that the statements, er thoughts, by Comey...were largely unsubstantiated, and mostly HIS observations...ah ha...I get it... Listen, there hasn't been this type of 'public divulgence' in my history of any standing President... unchartered waters ...so...I waited until the broadcast at 10 pm on CBS...done by George Stephanopolus ...sp?...-1, for...

Our first journey out to Petco , this season...for a big league game...commenced last eve to gander at them Padres ...fresh off of a huge one game winning streak...and the place was a buzz and slammed!... over 41,000 fans ...of course, it was a giveaway jersey night ...long long lines, to get in...to exchange jerseys, to get food, to get drinks...and on and on...you get the picture... Our norm, is to snag a table in the Omni Club area...where one can eat at a  table and have a fine buffett din din...the problem is that you must have Omni Club tix ...called premier...which we did...alas, we were a bit tardy, and there were no tables to be had...already scarfed up!...so...we went out to find our stadium seats...in the real world... with all the commoners ... Terrific seats and definitely groovy...the atmosphere was electric out there...had waitress service and all that we could possibly want was there...ie, our first entry in to the infamous Hodad burger. ..good eatin's, kid...
