Morning, kids...day 3 of the excursion up north...this is the golf/spa day...depending on who is asked....yesterday was quite the experience...the wine tour...to 3 of the Temecula Wineries that we were not familiar with...not close to the Casino at all... My worst fears in all of this trip, was the age gap that was obvious...the gaggle of 50 year olds and the, well, us...listen, we can hang with the best of them...for one time...tack on more days, and, let's just say it was a problem...subtle, yet one...do not take this as a 'oh poor me' thang...it is a truth... The wineries were all packed to the gills...it was Veteran's Day...thus, the numbers I reckon...now, I can't tell you the names of the places...but the 1st had dynamite chardonnay...and I am NOT a chard person...had we not been packing and walking elsewhere, I would have bought a fair share of them bottles...the group was friendly and it was fun...the mention of departing to winery 2, as we were up on a moun...

What a surprise!...who woulda thunk?...it's like an oasis hidden...this Pechanga RV Resort and Casino...in Temecula...for most of you, the city itself is a mystery...north of San Diego, about an hour...first, the RV...impeccable...huge sires, with plenty of trees...has cable service, with a Wi-fi...I mention this, as most RV spots do not have this...we even have a barbecue...no kidding...and get this...shuttle service to the casino!...now, kids, this is truly glamping... The Casino...massive...humongous...real easy to get lost in it...ah, just ask the Boss Lady...ha ha...many restaurants, and it reminds you of a better Vegas...we had no idea...and this city...Temecula...great looking houses...affordable and very enticing...here we go again...naw, but if we were, it would definitely be in the running... More on the city...is getting renown for it's vineyards...it's where we go, join, and stay at one of the better ones...Ponte...enough of this Rick Steve's type of review....

Forty six degrees out this am, in downtown San Diego...purnt near freezing ...just not right...thank goodness, Mother Nature only hit us with one day of the rain...brings me back to the Orygun days...alas, the temp will rise...64* the projection....which is cold, too...for here... As the votes are still being tallied in Arizona, Colorado, Alaska, and Cali ...the House and Senate is a waitin'...who will be the dominant one?...as predicted in that awful state of Georgia...there shall be a runoff of the two candidates on Dec 6...for the Senate spot...the HOT RUMOR is that the Repubs don't want trump anywhere around in the interim...his luster has vanished... Recall I said Fonny (Foo donny) would turn on anyone ...if it fit him...such is the notion, as he reportedly...well, someone reported it...that he blamed his latest wife, Melania, for giving 'his' nod to 'Dr" Oz...that he didn't really want to...ha ha...'damn that woman'... One more Fonny folly ......

The Horse was invited to two election night parties...ah, both a tad tongue in cheek...these were 'Red Wave' dudes ...fully expecting to shove the whole thing in my face...yes, I feared this...the reason for my constant nagging of YOU, to get out to VOTE...knowing that many do not...Mid-Terms... 'not that important' ...was and is, the normal cry...not so fast, my good friends...this time in particular, it sets up a trend...let alone the majority in the House and the Senate...YOU know this... AND, my biggest concern, was the lack of the women vote ...this abortion ruling that took the rights of their own body, away...how can they NOT, be up in arms...?... well...they did get out and vote...not the substantial mass that I thought, but it was significant ...as one very righteous Republican told the Boss, "I am not a one trick pony"...him being gay...and may soon lose his rights to his marriage?...that a big enough trick for you, bloke?...I digress... The pending...

The life of a retiree...Horse version ...I will get up circa 5 am...fix myself a cup of Joe...and 'Back to Work' ...read...read...my 23 sources of what's been going on...try to capsulate that, into a comprehensive bit of journalism...that will inform, and entice at the same time...YOU, the reader...of course, I add some juice to it...my very own take on the matters at hand... None better or worse than elections...Election Day...great fodder for moi ...but, it is also a grim reality to what this country has sunk to...the great divide...brought about by trump...perhaps, it has always been there...and it took the depths of a shallow, yet powerful man to bring it to the forefront...now, we wallow in it... The results...the Jan 6 coup attempt...the attack on Nancy Pelosi's husband...death threats...the constant denial of what the majority wants...saddens me immensely...as we are all in this together...regardless of who wins... I can't imagine any woman releasing the righ...

Ah yes, 'The Night Before' ...when we couldn't sleep cuz of it being just that...some incredible day...of course, heading the list would be Christmas Day ...in our pre-teen years...right?...man, was that a looooong time ago...or I could reference to the Beatles song ... 'we said our good byes' ...BUT, I am talking about YOUR VOTE and if you did what I hope you did... VOTE ...if not done yet, do so LIVE and in person at your VOTING precinct ...majority rules...all indications, are that this will be soooo close... The battle of the Ducks...UO alums in the NFL ...as the Chargers' Herbert got the W over the Falcons' Mariota...big time quarterbacks that played for Oregon...proud of both of 'em...and yes, I have them both on my FF team...get this, I have a 0.4 point lead going into tonight...but my 10 yr old opponent has a Kicker yet to play...I am toast... The Top 25 in football announced ...AP and the Coaches...and the Ducks are now #6...wonder what the BS...

Morning, kids...we are approaching a very tell all time in our political world ...this Tuesday, we shall see the fruits of the labor of those in that field...which affects us all...let's hope you did your part, and VOTED! ...I have been driving this home for some time now...do NOT assume anything...the majority rules...and we need YOUR VOTE! ... Not a fan of Brian Kelly ...especially when he was yanking the heads of his QB's at Notre Dame...when they did the impossible, being human...and made an error...off he went to LSU. where I am sure a gaggle of the Irish were glad to see him depart...BUT...I am impressed with how he builds his football program...and last nite, he did the gutsiest thing I have seen for quite awhile...in OT versus the always awesome 'Bama...he chose to win or lose the game...after a TD...going for 2, rather than kick the tying Xtr-point...
