With all the hullabaloo about the Sooper Bowl , there is a hidden item out here in SD...if the Bolts are going to stay or exit up to the dreaded LA area...the Farmer's Insurance Group apparently has some $ that they need to invest...in to a football stadium!  Think the insurance companies don't charge too much?  Well...FI is going to build a stadium, and the NFL is going to move one of the present teams in it...and...SD has been trying to erect a new one, possibly in the downtown area...nobody, nowhere, no nunca, nada, nuttin' been's built in the last 3 years... The Cavs continued their streak and have tied the all time record of 23...can break it when they play the unpredictable Blazers in Cleveland today...sidelight in the NBA... Kevin Love was selected to play in the all-star game in lieu of Yao Ming...chosen by the commish ...passing over LA, much to the chagrin of many PDX fans... The Aztecs host the cellar dwelling Horned Frogs ...it's like the rever...

Sooper Bowl Pick ...so I have been looking for a sign to pick the winner...do I go with all the Cheese Heads out there and pick the Pack...or do I go with the towel waving hard core Steeler crazies...the line has stayed stable at 2 1/2 for 2 weeks favoring GB...the game is indoors, so no factor there...Big Ben has been out carousing and that is normal...nothing...until this tidbit...you know my affliction for country music, right...just so happens that the gal singer of Lady Antebellum , Hillary Scott , has been seen around with the QB...from the Pack, Aaron Rodgers...that's it, that's the sign...GB by 3...do not ever, never ever, bet on the NFL... Did you watch the Spurs / Laker game last night?  Am I right or am I right?  Fisher wasn't in crunch time as LA fizzled at home...I smell a trade a comin'... Very enjoyable college game with the Zags and Portland ...tiny PG for Gonzaga is the son of John Stockton...looks like a baby out there, but he can play... Id...

Been there, done that...the King James less Cleveland Cavs ...losers of 22 straight...one shy of setting the all time record for futility...next try is the Memphis Grizzlies ...then...the PDX Blazers ...thank goodness the record won't be altered by whupping the Blazers ...odd coincidence, the Cavs coach, Byron Scott, was a player on the the Vancouver Grizzlies , the team that owns the present record...I'm not going to lie, they are turrible... What a tremendous finish and win for the Aztecs at CSU ...a buzzer beater by DJ Gay, that sealed the SDS win...hey, the road in the MWC is mighty tough...one of the key factors, is the travel and play in the high altitude...and the lack of big money followings, the method of getting there quite often is by bus...just the facts mam...so for SDS to win at New Mexico and Colorado is grrrreeeeaaattttt....not to be lost last night, UNLV beat Utah... Hey, did your groundhog see his shadow?  With the over-abundance of sun here, he sure did...how about in your area?  I'm not real sure that I believe that scientific way of predicting the spring like onslaught... And now the crowds erupt in violence in Egypt ...there are pro-Mubarak people?  That sure seems strange...so when it is night here it is the day time there...so, we get the late reports...just don't know where this is going... Let's be perfectly frank about this, for the mess in the middle east, Egypt's Prez Mubarak needs to give up his dictator's throne...and yup, it does scare the heck out of me what will be left over...BUT...if you can go by the number of pure Egyptians who are tired of his tirades and brutality, it seems to be the solution...if you don't have a democratic society with regular elections, eventually you will have uprisings like this one... Yup, Lefty won it... the Farmer's ...BUT...the other Lefty, Bubba Watson ...knocked in a 10 footer to birdie the 18th as that other lefty, Phil , wallows out in the fairway...and out of character, lays up on the par 5!  Bubba , you'd think, with that type of nickname, would be a portly fella...hardly...stick thin that rocks the world with 350 yard drives...yup. he hits it that far...when we saw him on Saturday, his putting stroke looked fuzzy...good on him.... a sidelight... Tiger is still a work in process...struggled quite a bit on the weekend...let's be honest...he doesn't out hit the field anymore....there are a bunch of 'em that pop it further...
