Good morning kids...if this is your first stop here...welcome... Most of my daily thoughts get lost when such a disaster like a tornado touches down...yesterday in Oklahoma...an area called "tornado alley" ...a horrible phenomena where the winds of the gulf, meet that of the north, and the surge of the west heat...and the twisters are created and last in such a quick and deadly form...there are grades of severity...and the worst sucks you out of whatever you have as prevention...absolutely the most scary thing... The numbers of those who lost their lives is sketchy...no power...and the rubble left behind...well...the peoples are looking for the survivors... The length of time is much more than I would think...like 20 minutes or so...and the width of approx 2 miles...oh my...devastating... OK, the other stuff... The Padres have won their 3rd in a row...starting off the 1st set with the Cards...I think the best part of this team is the defense...especially the remarkab...

Back when I coached...like this is ancient history now...I would have a state of the union address in the last week of the season...and I need to do the same for the STATE OF MUSIC ...as it is...as witnessed in last night's Billboard's Music Awards ...and quite frankly, the rest of these types of award shows in the past year...it's a mess...I repeat, a mess...I understand the fads of rap, disco, country, teeny bop, and the list goes on...I get that...but what I don't get is non-talent that is famous...and make $ due to the production of whatever they have... I get the beat...the danceable stuff...and there is a bunch of it out there...it drives the dance halls...that's cool...but eventually, some body has got to sing...and actually carry a tune...the people will drive out the fakes... I am amazed that peoples like the Bieb can endure the spotlight as long as he has ...well, he is one of them that will fall on his face...and you know how the media will love this......

Hey, greetings all! ...yup, I'm back...a getaway to one of our fav places, Palm Springs...90* and perfect...just a couple of hours away...got to play golf at Rancho Mirage CC for a super low price...May is a great time to go...apparently, the snow birds have flown back to their homes...anyway... Today I have to talk about PIZZA ...there are some good ones out there...originally a Pietro's back in Oregon...then the manager opened up his own shop...called it Padington's ...and it has been the best that we have had...now Galucci's is a close second...all up in the PNW...so how about down here?...the Lamppost is dang good...BUT...we now have found the best one of all...really... Bill's ...in downtown Palm Springs...the crust is perfect and the toppings are real...with a goodly amount of cheese...it is superb...pictured here is Bill's Special...
