'Rainy Night in Georgia' ....one could alter that a bit, and replace the site, with San Diego...and be most accurate...what?...go figure, I did NOT see this coming...the song, however, is one of the best ever on the Horse's Top 100...originally done by Brook Benton , back in '70...it was written by the one and only, Tony Joe White ...who had a hit himself, with the oh so lyrical, 'Polk Salad Annie' ...remember this one?...every cover band on the circuit in Oregon played the bloody thang...back to 'Georgia'...another cover of the song, just jumped out at me, a few years back...as we refound the soothing sound of Boz Skaggs ...finally saw him in concert, and now, that is a must do...anyhoo, he did the 'Rainy Night' and it is marvelous ...and THAT version is in me top 100... As we went searching for a place to have some late nite eats, last eve...the little woman and I ventured into our Little Italy ...a Friday Night...kind of a dumb move, wel...

Morning, kids...how be YOUR weather?...the changes up and down the coastline are truly amazing...from the snowy PNW, to the torrential rain in NoCal, to intermittent showers in LaLa, to the sunny San Diego ...wowser...how much does this affect you?...however, we still have some rain in the forecast...in the next week... After watching ALL of the Cohen interrogation in the House...my thoughts...hmmm, it was not as much questioning as accusations...as the Repubs disregarded what he had brought forth about Trump, but attacked his personal reliability...continually dubbed him a 'liar'...I find that oddly ironic, as they are defending a bloke who has lied more than any person we have ever had in the top office of our country...depending on who is counting, but more than 8,000 LITTLE WHITE LIES ...and yet, the RIGHT continues their defense of the guy...in any form possible...I just don't get it...is it their last bastion?... c'mon people, you are protecting a theory, no...

The highly anticipated House of Reps interrogation of Michael Cohen happened yesterday, as planned...not without the Repubs trying a delaying tactic...why, I don't know...whether it is yesterday, or in a week, makes no difference...regardless, it went forth...and the opening statements by Cohen were directed towards Trump...referring to him, similarly to a Mob Boss...he used other words, but the indications were clear... And...from that moment on... the polarization of the parties emerged ...the Repubs, the Right , if you will, spent ALL their time limit of 5 minutes, doing their dangest to discredit Cohen as a 'liar' who is going to prison...with very little questions, if any, that had to do with the accusations put forth...I sensed that they were in a room, doing their 'team' thing... On the other hand, the Demos, er, the Left , did try to get further info on Trump, via his personal attorney of 12 years, Cohen...some, were very candid about the 'proof...

Today is one of the days that will live in...well, ya'll get it, right?...as Michael Cohen is interrogated...LIVE...on your pixel set...starting at 10, left coast time, and 7 out here on the right coast...?...should be just the opposite...but, what the heck...unless, you have been under a rock for the past 6 months, you KNOW the impact of what he may say... Here we go again, the Right will say you can't believe him cuz, he is a liar ...albeit, a 12+years  PERSONAL attorney for Trump...when, he must have NOT been lying...and he then turned to the dark side, flipped, one might say, and is trying to salvage some years from his prison sentence... The Left will grill him intensely ...facts, give us facts...and if they are there...one huge layer will be removed from the enormous protection scheme of the present inhabitant of the White House... All the while, Trump is in Vietnam...of course, he says he won't be paying much attention to these hours and hours of testimony...

Such a big meeting of countries...as North Korea, has emerged into the big stage...due to their 'arms' of war...and the apparent World's police force, the USA...in, of all places, Vietnam...my, how times have changed...one could say, that the two 'leaders' are not the most popular people...it is just a fascinating item for me...what can Trump demand from Un?...to suppress any aggression in the area...shouldn't South Korea, and Japan, be there too?... All the while...Michael Cohen is in closed door talks in Congress...the word out is that it will be 'juicy'...whatever that means...have to think the Demos will be aggressive in their interrogation, and the Repubs will be questioning his validity...right?...expect some quality details out today...and TOMORROW, he will be on the Congressional Floor, LIVE!... The NBA...I find the demise of the LaLa Lake Show highly amusing...as LeBron is working his 'method of dismantling a coaching staff'...figu...

Yessirree, there was no host for the show...the Academy Awards ...how were you on that?...seemed to flow just fine, but...I prefer a comedian doing a schtick...oh well, not for me to say...what was your highlight?...I have 2...the opening of it all, with Adam Lambert and Queen ...got the crowd up and excited....and then the duet of Lady GaGa (Stefani Germanotta) and Bradley Cooper ...was downright grand...so well done... The list of winners?...shoot, I can't say one way or the other...I do like the Green Book dude , as he was in 'The House of Cards', too...fine actor...have NO idea about who the gal was, er, is, who won the best actress ...in the prelim award shows, it was either GaGa or Glenn Close as the W...and the bloke who portrayed Freddy Mercury ...got the nods in the earlier ones...as best actor...fine...the best pix?... Green Book ...ok, then... So now, we try to find them flicks to watch 'em...the list did not have some weird, awful ones ... And then....

It's all about the pomp and circumstance, right?... the OSCARS ... the ultimate award to these film peopl e...'just to be nominated'...is quite accurate for moi...anyhoo, it is this evening...and, give yourself plenty of time for the gala event...oh yes, I know nothing about the 'party' at the Theater Box...thus, am thinking that it didn't get the quorum needed...oh well, the smaller screen here will suffice... Not sure how the non-hosting of the Academy Awards is going to work...sure seems like one is needed... maybe Whoopi will emerge after all ...one of the key parts, is the arrival of the 'stars' and their showing, and brief statements...about what they are wearing, and it was made by whom...and who is lending the jewelry to the ladies ...yes, it's the work of Kelly Ripa and Ryan Secrest... Of course, the highlight of the night, is the crowning of the big 5 ...the best actress, actor, supporting of each, and then the 'best' mov...
