The most prized possession of all for the Pro Golfers, is the green sport coat garnered by the winner of the Masters ...it is the one week, er 4 days, of everything these dudes have worked their game for... it is, the embodiment of golf ...and it is upon us today... yup, I picked Jason Day ...but it is a crap shoot...as many of the guys have a chance...they are so good...get hot right now...and they change their golfing lives forever... pictured is last year's winner, Jordan Spieth... The play that will be talked about for years... YEARS , I tell ya...the winning hoop in the Big Dance...as Villanova hit the shot of ages to beat North Carolina...at the buzzer...enough to make me jump off my couch...ha ha... The game itself was not a spectacular one ...normal ebb and flows of two very good teams... the officiating was odious ...what was called was mysterious...stopped the flow of the game...and... for all the notoriety that UNC's Coach Williams gets...the 'Nova Coach had more impact on in game happenings... Still... the Tar Heels hit a prayer themselves...with 4.7 seconds to go , to tie the bloody thing up...a time that I think that coaches should be fouling a dude ...so he can't attempt a 3 ball...and be stuck with 2 FT's...most don't do this...I don't get it...anyway...it set the stage for the last second shot... Which Villanova has in it's arsenal of plays ... just...for...that...situation ...to win the...National Championshi...

The long awaited "Opening Day" of the new MLB season is upon us...as the Padres host the talent ladened Bums of LA ...it's at 3 or 4 in the afternoon here at Petco...I do not have tix...t he spring season has been dismal for SD. ..so much promise about the rebuilding of the team...hmmm...the only thing that happened by the highly touted GM (Preller), is that we moved our best players...for prospects ...which are just that...gone is our best long ball hitter, Jason Upton...gone is our stud closer, Kimbrel...gone is our starting 2B...Gyorko, gone is our starting 1B, and gone is our set up guy...what we have left, for the most part is what we have left...did pick up a kid from St Louis...but...the starting pitching, that gave up monster amounts of home runs...returns...needless to say anymore... this will be a disastrous season ...the stadium is sold out...albeit, listen closely...as at least half the fans there, will be LA ones...this area loves the Bums... Normally, ...

It wasn't that long ago, that we all had landlines ...I'm talking phones, kids...just switched from rotary ones to push buttons ...had an enormously long, curly cord, that we could carry the hand set all over the house, er apartment, er condo...whatever...you know what I mean...and then came along the cell phone ...the yuge white thinger that we all thought was so cool...very quickly, they were reduced in size (whew!) and we put them in our cars ...the phone world had changed forever...now... we are talking into little computers ...that do everything...and every year, a new shape and style is produced and thrown at the public...and...we buy them... Apple is the industry leader ...they have unleashed a much smaller iPhone ... the SE ...hmmm...I bought into the big one last year... the 6 Plus ...it is a marvelous piece of intelligence...but...it is too big to hold and talk into...and carry around, if you are a feller...so...the latest is very intriguing...the only hangup...is...
