Inexact Science

The NFL Draft...it seems like any fantasy draft that we get into...once somebody goes for a particular position, the rest of the teams do so...that was the mantra for 2013...the offensive tackles...left in the dust were the QB's and RB's...odd...and one guy who has fallen from a sure fire top 3 last year, to a sure fire FOURTH ROUNDER, this time around...Matt Barkley of the USC Trojans...hey, you know I'm not a fan of them, but they have sone great players...just one of the worst coaches...so says CH...anyway...he is the top QB of the draft...and somebody is going to pick him, make him their new starter, tell the world how they got him in this late of a round....and we will all be talking about this a year from now...mark this down...

Another bloke that fell from grace was the Heisman Winner, Mante Te'o...with a bizarre twist in his private life...a horrific showing in the BSBCS Title Game...and dubious speed in the Combine...all led to him being dropped from a top pick to a second rounder....the new Bolt's GM took him...this, my friends, is a gamble...and not only will set the stage for Te'o's credibility, but the Charger's new regime, too...we will revisit this in a couple of months...for sure...

As we were coming home last eve, I was constantly checking my iphone for the score of the SF/SD game...one of our true hopes got a start...flame thrower Cashner...he who we picked up for young bopper Rizzo...wham bam, the game was over...and we won 2-1!...don't have any highlights yet...did see we scored a bit more...but the key was...only allowing one run...

I gave you odds on the possibles in the NBA Playoffs...make the Heat 1-10, now that OKC lost their star PG...and it brings 4 teams into the long shot discussion...the Grizzlies 40-1, the Clips 40-1, the Warriors 80-1, and the Nuggets 80-1....OKC drops to 25-1...just being real...

Breaking news...the Philadelphia Eagles traded up to the 1st pick in the 4th round and did pick USC's Barkley...Chip knows what he is doing...and so does Crazy Horse...

For all the great moments in last week's Survivor, this one was ordinary and bland...and the long shots were cut down...

I'll give you odds on the team that will win the NBA Playoffs...I was thinking about this today as I was golfing...which should give you a hint to how I was playing...the league has 28 teams, right?...and yet...only 3 or 4 of 'em have an chance in hell of winning...so...
the east has two chances...slim and none...Miami...and maybe the Knicks...no others...none...zilch...
the west has two, too...OKC and San Antonio...all the others...no chance... none...zilch...
AND...you go back to the beginning of the season....it's still the same...so you can say 24 teams have no shot...yes...that's the truth...
Is there any way to break this?...yup...do what the Heat did a few years back...get 3 of the superstars grouped on one team...it's what NY has done...
Here's my odds...
Miami...1 to 5
NY Knicks...20-1
OKC...5-1
San Antonio...25-1...
In other words, save your money...

Talking about that...$...it's what the new Pad's Ownership has done...as this group is pathetic...the pitching staff is the worst set of starters in all of baseball...BP guys...it's true...in their latest debacle, L Richards couldn't get through 3...and yes...a 6-3 shellacking...I know...it's one game at a time...but we have the aforementioned lack of pitching and the worst hitting team in the league...geez, I am a downer...

The more you hear about the Bombers, the more I am thinking that it will wake us up...these bastards live to kill...at some time...in the most inhumane, cowardly way possible...block the borders and ban the students...

Playoffs

Now this is how the playoffs are to be...in the NBA...crappy officiating...physical...last second heroics...as the Clips won it at the buzzer over the Grizzlies...Chris Paul was extraordinary in the last 3 minutes and hit the game winner...as the teams now head to the mid-west and play in Memphis...look for this series to go at least 6...

PATHETIC...as the Pads score but one run...again...well...I guess it's better than nil, like they have done the last 2 games...give up a 2 run HR in the 1st...game over...tack on another 3 run HR, IN THE FIRST...head on home...this is just embarrassing...what do you say?...positive?...nuttin honey...

Junk Mail

Have you noticed that there is a change in how you get JUNK MAIL?...yup, now it comes via the net...and yes, you still get some of it via the good old US Mail Service...and at what time will the hard copy be eliminated altogether?...it will be sooner than later...already there is a cutback planned...like on Saturdays...there used to be a zillion "occupant" addressed letters...now, they tag it on some place you looked at, bought at, or inquired at...you'll never get rid of it, kids...

The Padres, resembling junk baseball, lost all 3 at Frisco...scoring but 1 run in all 3...let's get this straight...we scored one...ONE...total...in three games...how pathetic an effort...and now we host the very hot Brew Crew...who have won 7 straight...eegads....and...it looks like our big LF, Kyle Blanks, got injured again...running into the outfield wall, making a spectacular catch...the hits just keep on a coming...but not with the bats...

Every one of the favs won in the NBA playoffs...so sweet was the loss of the Lake Show...to the Spurs...who have their boys back...after resting them most of the last month...and...most of these games are boring...sorry hoopsters, but it's true...

That South Carolina golf course was spectacular...what a beautiful place...Homestead?...as it came down to two former major winners in a playoff...Webb Simpson and eventual champ, Graeme McDowell...fun finish...
