So the leader at the halfway mark?  Sensational Rory McElroy from over the pond way...cruising around at 10 under and playing with another youngin' , Aussie Jason Day, who just popped a 64...and they were all smiles as they looked at being in the final group for moving day, this day of Saturday...then wooah, a familiar noise was taking over the hallowed grounds...could that be a Tiger roar?  Please no...
This Woods feller, has been struggling for a long time and no way, NO WAY, that could be him...I mean at the turn he was in danger of missing the cut...boom...
You see Tiger starting using his 3 wood in lieu of his wayward driver...and now he's in the fairway...and knocking the pins DOWN...and he ends up birdieing the 18th and is 7 under...7 UNDER...and in 3rd place...
Do I hear some very young knees shaking?
The game continues...

PDX beats the Lakers at the Rose Garden...just what does this mean?  LA now has lost 4 straight leading into the playoffs...the Blazers are fighting for somewhere from 6-8...if they are 8th, they play the Spurs, 7th and it's LA, 6th and it's the Mavs...hate the Mavs...

Rain here last night and we couldn't finish the 1st game of the Dodger's series...will be completed prior to the regular game tonight...which we have...gotta figure me lady won't last the entire way...but she does get the inside seating...how much wine will it take?

Congress Digress

I find this the most disgusting of all political ploys...and this is why I gave up on the Republican party...and to think, if in fact it goes through...that the Congress guys and gals STILL GET PAID...let's get rid of all these overpaid foos...start all over and people who will represent the public, not themselves...rise up people!

We have tix for the 1st time this season tomorrow eve against the Dodgers...doing the behind the home plate thing and it will be great!

Say it isn't so! Of all the Idol contestants to get the boot, not Pia...I just knew the judges wasted their save on the hairy guy...that's five straight gals...doesn't bode well for Haley and Lauren, the remaining two...

Get Real

Quit all the bickering by you, the House Majority Leader, and do YOUR JOB!  Figure out a way to keep the government running and stop your playing the republican ticket only...with all the corruption that festers in that area, maybe, just maybe...you can be a leader and not a deceiver to the rest of your "chosen ones"...sure, you are something special, you all are...so disgusted with this whole mess...

Idol...got to say it was pretty amazing...my favs were James and Scotty...the gurls, Pia and Lauren are solid...you know when it's the public voting things can get very fickle...so, it's a good bet, that one of the real good ones will go prior to one of the not so good...my bottom ones are Haley and the tenor...

Survivor...another good one...Boston Rob's days of being a boss are numbered...

The Masters...only got to see the last 5 or so groups finish up...the young guns in the end are big time boomers...so Rory must have been magnifico...I was out tearing up Sycuan, literally...packed my bags today and feel it as I write...hey kids, I'm getting oldish...

So PDX gets in and then plays like crap, what's up with that?

Harang Rang True

Nothing like an opening day win...against the bloody Giants!  Newly acquired Aaron Harang got the win and the closing staff of Gregerson-Adams-Bell sealed it...3-1...in typical Padre fashion...walks and taking advantage of some key errors...hip hip hooray!
Today it's the 2nd of but a 2 game series and Stauffer and Lincecum battle it out...we are home team dogs in it...hopefully we get Venable back in the lineup...

Did you know that some yahoo out of Ohio voted for Ohio St. in the final vote for the NCAA champ, even though UConn won it on the court...what a foo, and he should lose his voting privileges...oh well, I hate the voting process anyway...

The Masters cranks up tomorrow and Lefty is primed...hey, it is a great show...just got this feeling about Dustin Johnson...

And now the little things that have happened after 4 or 5 games...the Red Sox have yet to win...Kooz has made 3 errors already, when he was here, he made 3 the entire season...Nick Hundley is leading the majors in hitting at .533...Texas is undefeated...Jeter is at .167...as is Pujols...Manny is at .063 and TB hasn't won yet...the Orioles are undefeated, with 3 of 'em on the road...Adrian who?

Wurst game ever

Congrats to Kemba Walker and the UConn Huskies for the D-1 Crown...but it was the wurst game ever...EVER...both teams struggled to get good shots and iff (math terms) the rest of the tourney was called this way...ie, every block was clean...there is no way Butler gets to the finals...just a very boooooring game in every detail...

Did you watch your DWTS?  I am surprised at the improvement in the "stars"...no clear cut fav and there is a smatter of interest...did you see poor Max go down?  I suppose you could draw your own conclusions why...I did not say anything...the Disney chick and the NFL guy are my leaders...but it is wide open...

Opening day for the Pads...against the bloody Giants...I will be watching at home...no season Tix this time around...Aaron Harang gets the nod...it is one of those "where are we really?" games...

Well, it was 83* at Sycuan yesterday, but this sickly couldn't muster up an 80ish score...still tired and weak...poor me...

Speaking of real golf...the Masters cranks up on Thursday...my fav of the entire year...Lefty is primed...watch out for a young gun to boot...Dustin Johnson maybe...and, of course, all them Europeans...take your pick...Tiger?  naw, not yet...

Lefty is ready for the MASTERS...he won by three strokes over a very game Scott Verplank at the Shell in Texas...of course, the best golfing show on earth is this next week in Georgia...but the way Lefty banged the ball around, gots to feel he is ready to defend his title...and the way golf is, if you're hot, it lasts a couple of weeks...and he is hot...
Staying with golf....the first major for the gals at the Dinah Shore...tiny Stacy Lewis beat the top ranked female, Yani Tseng, head to head...not only won her first major, but her first LPGA win anywhere...very cool stuff...and poor Morgan, doing her interpretation of Crazy Horse, with a quad, trip and double...BOGIES...and fell to third...

Hoops...tonight is the champ game for the Big Dance...UConn and Butler...who woulda thunk it...there is too much weird stuff out there...and thus, I have Butler winning it...do not bet on the game...ever...NBA...the Lakers looked tired in their home loss to Denver...and PDX continues it's home streak to 8 with a big win over the easily hateable Mavs...and the UConn girls got beat in the semi's to Notre Dame...thought that they wouldn't win it this year...see back to beginning of season...


The Pads will not go undefeated this season...however, Mosely did pitch well and the hitting took a day off...losing 2-0...lot of close calls, but no cigar...opening day tomorrow...no season tix for me this season...so will pick and choose our games...

Did you watch your CMA's last night?  I don't get it...Carrie is the best entertainer of them all...and wasn't even nominated?  What?  goofy stuff there...highlight of the night?  Her duet with Steven Tyler...great, great fun...

I'm finally on the mend and doing my normal Monday on the links out at Sycuan...80's...heat and score....I hope...

Big Day

And the Padres thoroughly destroyed the Cards...in ST. Louie...11-3 as Chase Headley has another big game and the off-maligned Pads are but a game away from a sweep...let's get serious now...a sweep this early in the season is near impossible...it does set the table for San Diego to have a huge opening day this next Tuesday...oops, against the bloody Giants...
OK, so what's going on?  The fact is the entire lineup is putting the ball in play....and a massive improvement in the catcher, Nick Hundley...the bullpen is still very solid...and I would lurve to eat my words about this team...my concern starts now, with the starters 3-5 having to show me...HOWEVER, the showing of Corey Luebke yesterday in mop up duty, was very impressive...he may be number 5...
It's a long season, but a GREAT START...Gilman....

The Big Dance...for the 1st time in this tourney it went to form...Butler in a rare return to the final game...hey, who woulda thunk that...and UConn, who hasn't been beat by anyone outside of the Big East...the form will continue...look for Kemba Walker to dominate and the Huskies win it...in a thriller...

Huge game for PDX today, hosting the unlikeable Mavs...Lefty in the hunt at the Shell in Texas...can Morgan come from behind in the Dinah Shore?  and...the CMA's tonight...gotta lurve your country music...
