Off to Balboa Park for some R & R. The Pads resign Giles as a nice move by the hated GM Towers. Hot rumor is AHTOWERS is planning on moving Peavy this week. Collegiate football is as good as it gets. Pac 10 should be real exciting today. In the MWC look for BYU to put up historic numbers at home against the Aztecs. Not much more from here. Enjoy your day in the sun.

Jake Peavy is closer to being the gift of some deserving affordable team. The Pads have let it be known that they are no longer able to stay in the upper echelon of MLB. Their horrendous GM Towers has bared the team's soul to get what he can out of Peavy. It is an extremely sad time around the Gaslamp as the once proud Padres gravel in the muck that he is creating. One of the highlights of this squad was to watch Jake pitch every 5th game. I say if the Pads stay with Towers, good luck to Jake and get to someplace that has a future. I really don't want to give up my season tix, but I can't go there and be frustrated. Sad. SDS's football team may very soon have no Qualcomm to play at because they are so bad nobody goes to their games any more. Take a big hint Padres! Good luck to the Dux and Beavs this weekend!

I could not be happier with this country as I am now. The best man won, regardless of color. Time to get the USA back in shape. Now what will happen to the stock market? How about the Iraq thing? I have to admit it is exciting to know we will have something to look forward to after today's election. Either candidate will be a tremendous improvement to what's in office right now. The Cal coach, Tedford, is a jerk and must be scrambling to keep his job. The way he treated his players is deplorable. On the other hand, the Beavs in a close one over ASU. They had to have that one. Oklahoma looks to be the best team in the land... Now to the NFL...at least don't have to worry about the Bolts today.
