The beauty of this country, talking the United States of America ...is that whomever is in the Presidency, there are checks and balances installed in the system of the government...so HE or SHE can't go astray and ask...or do something that isn't legal...and we have Congress to be our security...and I have to say, 'that we must TRUST the system' ...enough said?...I think so... A few weeks back, a US Pro golfer won a T in Mexico... Matt Kuchar , alias 'Kooooch' ...his normal caddie couldn't make it, so he used a local caddie there, 'El Tucan'. ..ah, well all them golfer dudes have nicknames... David Ortiz ...is his real name...there is a norm for pay for the guys who carry the pros bags, chart the course for 'em, and well, do most of the dirty work...10% of the winnings...Kooch just happened to WIN the T...over a million bucks. ..and, because, he had worked out a deal to pay El Tucan 3 grand for his work...he added 2,000 more and the caddie...

Penny for your thoughts ...wait, do we still have a penny in circulation?...or, is that what your thoughts are worth? ...well, I gots to tell you about a show we happened on...that informs the viewers of 4 giant cities, throughout the world... 3 BBC peops are doing the presentation...it's cool, kids...the first two were Hong Kong and Mexico City ...you can find it on Netflix...and dang it all, I can't recall the name of the show...for those of us, who have never been to those cities, it's fun to see what they are all about...trust the Horse... Your guy Trump ...will sign the bill to keep the government flowing...alas, it doesn't have enough $ to suffice him on his Trump Wall...so, he is going to probably do what he has been threatening to do...declare a 'National Emergency' and pull the funds from somewhere else to put his moniker on the fool wall...I find it appalling to listen to the Repub Senators fake their support for his actions...how do they sleep ...

A very cheery, Happy Valentine's Day to ya'll...egads, the weather down here in SD is just awful...RAIN! ...and lots of it... 'but we need it' ...imagine that phrase used in Oregon...right?...yup, we lucked out and got 18 holes in, just before it started up yesterday...well, it's a stay in day...watch some pixels and maybe, read a bit...have not started the Chris Christie book yet... There is another one about to be released...and it's right to the point... the FBI 'acting' leader, just after Comey was fired ... Andrew McCabe ...it's his account to what went on in the White House...CBS is doing a series of interviews with him...a talking point about what he witnessed and thus, wrote about...and, if true, a very scary time of 8 days that 'could have been' ...of course, the Horse will get this one, too... A JUDGE ruled that Manafort LIED to the Mueller People ...in a breach of his 'cooperation' agreement...to stay out of jail.....

As we have now, countless, numbers of people...stepping up and sharing the same philosophy for our country...that we need change at the top...so... THEY ...just may be THE...ONE ...that can lead us out of whatever MESS we are currently in...and it's a big mess...a voice from the middle emerged... an Independent...Charles Schulz ... (ha ha, I er, the Horse means, Howard ) ...you probably don't know of him...he is the CEO of Starbucks...my, er, the Horse is sincerely sorry for the mixup... He had a one on one, and a town hall meet and greet...carried by CNN last nite...where?...back east, it really makes no difference...so, the Horse watched it in interest...just to hear what he had to say...and there was one thing that got me a thinking...he (we) knows how the extreme left and the extreme right feel and believe... but, the mass amount of people in the middle, THEY need a voice ...intriguing...but, this comment just reverberates in me mind, 'can an independent win?...

Hey, I know this is just in the Senate ...but, there is a probable compromise of the funding to go to the border security, pending ...these are dudes and dudettes who are from both sides of the aisle, trying to make the system work...before Trump does his little boy thing , of closing down the government for his 2nd time...in itself, a sham of leadership ...his... I'm not going to go into the rights and the wrongs of the MONEY ...the security is at issue...as always...nobody is questioning that...it's just HOW it is allocated ...as he was down in El Paso...giving a rebel rousing oration (ha ha) for the need of his Trump Wall...the crowd, smartly adorned with his red MAGA caps ...that mysteriously appeared thru the marvel of campaign funding...another chuckle...BTW, these caps make JLo's that she wore at the Grammy's look alluringly divine... Still, anything to keep the guv a running properly, is a plus...but, I hate the notion that Trump sees fit (ha ha, again...

For some odd reason, I was drawn to the Grammy telecast ...knowing that many of the now music stars are virtually unknown to moi. ..thus, I get to see what the 'big' commotion is all about...if there is such a thang, anymore...not sure of this, and maybe need a fact check, but...the hostess, Alicia Keys ...was the first lady host...hmmm, really?... She did fine ...let me say, that the entire show was too casual ...if that is possible for music...but, that's OK... the highlights were not the winners of the Awards, but the singers, singing...the best?...the two legends that they honored... Dolly Parton and Diana Ross ...each sang their own stuff...Dolly had accompaniment...Diana did not...each had strong voices and were on KEY!... Head scratching minutes for some of the performers...like who are they?...which I expected...and more so, why would anyone buy this stuff?...why Travis Scott has any followers, is beyond me... JLo did great, but one might think that maybe,...

The state of music...might be judged by the awards that are given this eve at the Grammy's ...maybe...I'm not sure of the direction, now...are you?...are lyrics back?...how about the thump of a bass, that triggers anything that may go with it?...is it all about the dance?...can't think of a song that has a melody that I keep humming, or singing to... The hostess this year is Alicia Keys ...that's cool...she is saying that the show will be 'sick'...groovy, Miss Keys...rad...far out...the bomb...hip...ah, whatever...nice to see that Diana Ross is on the performing docket...as well as Little Big Town...Miley...listen, she can sing...and be a bit rebellious, too...this is the show that usually brings that out...even more... Part of the mystery of the music business, is the selling of the songs ...gone, for the most part, are the vinyls, CD's, and cassettes...physical things that one would own...now, you don't have that...your music is in the Cloud...so...
