Deja Vu

All over again...it looked the same to me...the Padres lost their opener...with all the enthusiasm of a new season...BUT...the same faces made the same mistakes...the biggest flaw for me...the lack of a solid number three hitter...yesterday's picture of Chase Headley was the guy...0 for 4, with two K's...here's the deal...the BIG inning was upon us...two straight hits and a walk...the bases full...up steps our "best" hitter...he takes three straight strikes...same stuff...let's be honest...he's not clutch and he's got no power...and furthermore...we are down 3-1 in the 8th...certainly not out of it...and Mgr. Buddy Black brings in a set up guy, who the day before was traveling to Tucson for his AAA duty...and he gives up a two run tater...no way we score 4...and we hit a 2 run HR in our turn...see...it's the same old thing...gosh I hate saying that...BUT...adjust the lineup with our best guys hitting where they should be...I'm just saying...today, Luebke goes...against the Pad nemesis, Billingsley....well...boooo...let's see what the crowd numbers are...I fear mostly Dodger fans...by the way, a humongous support group here for them...

There is a growing concern that the major league owners won't allow anyone presently connected to this Padres regime, to buy them...collusion?...

The Masters...it is a beautiful place...I want so badly to get there to watch it...just one day, that's all...maybe next year?...Tiger was a wild one yesterday...BUT...even par and that's OK, on the 1st day...some real tight driving holes, especially 18....looks like an alley...Sergio making a move today...as is Rory...by the way, did you see how the leader, Stenson, handled the final hole?   Wooah, a snowman...resembled Crazy Horse...I could see his thinking...just the way I do it...

Opening Dayz

The Padres opening day is but a few hours away...tons of optimism...start with the bloody Dodgers...

Took a look at the latest NBA line... and found some very curious spreads, that, if...and I am saying if...I was a bettor...I would jump on them...first of all, the Clippers are favored over the Lakers in LA...and the Celtics are home team dogs...and finally, PDX is a 9 point fave over the Nets...bet a C on each kids...

The Masters kicks off manana...and I mean to tell you, it's the best stuff...a gaggle of the pros are upset that the scribes pick Tiger or Rory...that they all have a chance...good on them...that's what you have to think...me?...it appears to be rainy...which favors the long bombers...so the aforementioned, and Lefty have to be in the mix...me?...Tiger by 5ish...do NOT bet it...

DWTS...the right bloke went home...the opera gal is the one to telescope in on...

This is the best week in golf...period...as the blokes head out to Augusta for the...Masters...no prettier course and is revered by all...great article in the latest SI...about the rookies staying in Butler's Cabin...the mystique and tradition involved...so very cool...my pick?...well, there are a bunch of possibles...but if you were to go with Lefty or Tiger...you wouldn't go wrong...Tiger...

There is no more drama in the game of golf than wrapping up the championship of a major...in the desert the gals had a dead ringer going...I K Kim has a one footer....yup, one foot...and she was tapping it in to win...and gasp...the bloody horseshoe...it was beyond a gimmee...and there she was...pretty much at a loss...and the picture will never, ever, be forgotten....all those yahoos who make you putt out everything for a quarter will bring it up...it is a guarantee...dang...I feel so sorry for her...and yea, she went out and lost the playoff...

So the gal who won the match play tourney, also won the T...so weird as the guy who won the match play tourney, won the Shell the same day...weird...
