So the judges set the final group...to a lucky 13 ...and, I think the public got it right...I have 5 favorites...2 that are pictured to the right...Lauren and Scotty...it's a long road and the path is bumpy...and the winner is.... American Idol , great TV... A lot of buzz about the dismissal of the BYU hoops guy...STILL, I'm not buying all that is given... the story just deepens every day... Think about this...so many of the favorite shows on the tube now are reality based...yet, the networks keep putting out the half hour or full hour sitcom garbage...that all seems to be the same to me...I say...put together a variety show...like Sonny and Cher, or the Andy Williams thing, or the Dean Martin one...something on those lines...people would watch it! The Royal Wedding ...man oh man...I am the one that finds this repulsive...all that is wrong about England...has nothing to do with being voted in, but it is inherited and OMG...I can't believe that this fiasco still goe...

Idol ...I wasn't blown away by the gals...in fact, most were very average...and it was what I suspected, as 4 of them wouldn't have gotten this far compared to recent years...it must be my preference to country music, but I liked the country gal, the belter (last singer) and Ms. Rodriguez...but have no clue what the public is going to do...the judges...a bit too nice...maybe that's ok...a little more constructive critiquing is necessary...maybe...still better than ripping their heads off after performing... The BYU thing...it affected them quite a bit, as they got pelted at home by New Mexico, much like what the Cougs did to SDS, swept 'em...and...I just have a tough time believing what I'm hearing out of BYU...I think there is more to the story...stay tuned...hey, I'm talking that honor code breakage...something is fishy, I suspect... The Padres ...well...I am presently surprised by their offense this Cactus League season...yup, I know it's against the...

Idol ...wasn't that a great first show for the season?  The guys took it to the stage and were outstanding...well, some of them...without your boy Simon there, the judging was a lot less caustic...it lost a bit of reality, but still is better... my leaders are the Cowboy, the Wow boy, and the show boy... SDS showed no lingering effect of the BYU loss as they pounded the Cowboys (there I go again) in 7,000 feet high (Charlie) Laramie, Wyoming...speaking of the Cougs, they kicked off their number 3 guy due to violation of the BYU ethic code...ouch, that'll hurt...good for them, though... This crap about all the coverage on Charlie is way over the top...quit giving him any air time...it's just awful...he's laughing in the face of all of us...turn it off and get on with so many more important things...and everything is more important! Libya will explode very soon...and unlike the Charlie crap, we won't see much of it... Yup, I'm hitting the links again t...

In the ongoing monetary problems throughout this country, one issue is coming to the forefront... the state governments trying to bust up the unions. ..well, they will call it other things...and believe me, it's the richer folk trying to dominate the lesser earning folk...hey, common man, you are earning too much...and just who would stand up for the people on this?  You may bust 'em now, but it won't go away...let's see you try another avenue , please.. D-1 hoops ... SDS fell a few spots to number nine in both major polls after their convincing loss to BYU ...who by the way, jumped to number 3...and why does Texas remain so high?  They have been nailed a lot...there is great parity in hoops and I mean anyone can get going and win it...really... Charlie just doesn't get it...with all his interviews he comes off as a real case...and not a good case...this is a real sad thing...I want to flush it... The Cactus League has begun...the Padres have been scoring lot...

Did you watch the Oscars ?  Oh my, the worst hosting of the event, ever...at least since I've watched it...the silence was deafening...and when former host, Billy Crystal , came out to a standing ovation, it signified the way the people were thinking, what was missing...the winners?  Mostly The King's Speech ...it's on my list... Did you catch Charlie Sheen on ABC this am?  Oh my, this is a real situation that the world can watch...so sad..."that's how I roll" Luke Donald wins the match play in Tucson...he played great every match and has worked his way up in the upper echelon of the sport...by the way, Bubba Watson amazes me that he could win anything... Katy Perry's "Fireworks" is on everything... Just why is Andre Miller taking the crucial shots for PDX ? Why Twitter ? Libya continues on and it is another waste of mankind... I was the one that talked about the Lakers demise...I guess I was wrong...again... The Padre...

So, as much as I hate the process, I lurve the production...and I lurve not having a vested interest in them...and I lurve the looks and all...so the Oscar goes to...well...it seems like the elder folks seem to like the elder entries...so the King's Speech will dominate...we watched the Social Network last eve and it is good, but not great...anyway, the Oscars is but a grand show and outside of the length, well worth watching... BYU just dominated...kind of the way SDS has played for the last 3 weeks and it's not good enough for a very good team.... the Cougars (?) showed balance and they hit the 3's like a true national contender...yup, they are a real threat...notice that the east coast darling, Duke , got beat again yesterday, too...not much talk about that...so...there is so much balance in the nation, that most any good team could win it...much like the PGA's match play...there were 64 of those guys starting and who would have thunk the losses by some of the...
