Let's be very clear ...the San Diego State Aztecs have turned the corner...as I have told you all season, SDS was very close...and the tru frosh running back, Ronnie Hillman , was a tru star in the making...OK kids, did you watch last night's Poinsettia Bowl?   It was rumored that Navy was going to run the Aztecs into the ground, due to the deluge of the wet stuff down here...well...it was SDS doing it to the Midshipmen ...and Hillman had well over 200 yards...and 4 td's... 35-14 bristol stomp... The Padres added their 1st baseman... Brad Hawpe ...mostly from the Rockies and he's OK...not great or even good.. .just OK ...so get this...with this NEW LINEUP that the new GM Hoyer has put together... SD drops off 20 points in batting average , an average of 5 less homers , and an average of 15 less rbi's ... OMG , and last year's team was the worst in the bigs...or next to the worst...just wait... great management, son ... Yesterday...I couldn't...

Here I go, Crazy Horse is getting serious on you...this is supposed to be about the birth of Jesus ...but, the technology of the world took it, tweaked it, adapted it, adopted it, and yup, changed it, to fit their needs...er, our needs...and the fuzzy date of it's originality kind of all blends in...it was Christ's Mass , that turned into Christmas ...4 or 5 hundred years ago...more fuzz...and what's with the Xmas ....the X is the Roman's symbol for Christ ...bet you didn't know that...and Santa Claus ?  Relatively newish symbolism, started by the Dutch ...but really came to being, by the new world people...in the USA ... You can not believe the debate about the streak of the Connecticut gals team ...good lord, 89 , and rolling...trying to compare it to UCLA's guy's 88 one...who cares?  It's a tale of dominance, longevity, perseverance, ability, and luck... Geno's teams have had all those and more...albeit, this version will not get through this season unscathed...severely lacking an inside presence...it continues the path of others...and it's star, Maya Moore , is a great player...yup, a great one...in fact, their next game is at Stanford ...another power house gal's program...good luck and enjoy the journey... The rainy Poinsettia Bowl ...takes place tomorrow eve...in sunny SD...oops...well, the weather is finally changing manana...and then the area will look so appealing to the national audience... SDS   vs Navy ... SDS hoops...survived in Vegas against USF ... Last day for shopping...

I suppose I thought he would never play again...then wait...the game was moved outdoors...and it was a blizzard...and Bret Favre said that he had to play...play...he's still a boy in his mind...and he'd try the shoulder, so beat up for a 40 year old guy, or whatever age he is...yup...so there he went out to play...again...against da Bears ...on Monday night...and promptly lead his Viks down for a passing TD...and thud...like a guy his age...eventually got pummeled and rammed into the freezing ground...and laid there...stay down Bret ... no mas ... For a sport that has to be hanging on for dear life...horse racing..that, the sport of kings...that gets good press around the Kentucky Derby time...the feel good story of the year, was the female, Zenyatta ...which had it's OWN winning streak of 19...goes into the Breeder's Cup , acclaiming to be it's last...before going into breeding status...just misses at the finish line, and was the best losing race of the year...

It is so ugly , all this rain ...peops around here like it cuz they say it cleans the streets... bah humbug ... And it cuts into my golf time and that's not good for anyone... Supposed to last thru the Poinsettia Bowl on Wednesday...the Aztecs vs. Navy ...air attack vs. the ground attack...that sounds weird as the Midshipmen only are triple optioners... NFL ...what a finish for the Eagles / Giants ...crazy win for Philly ...the NY coach going off on his punter at the end of the game...can't he wait 'til he gets in the locker room?  ...this is the bigs, son...dang the KC Chiefs ...and are the Rams horrible, or what...in fact, that entire division is a joke... NE ...still the best team...and the Bolts must win out and hope KC stumbles against Tennessee or Oakland .... Win streaks ...the Heat are on an incredible one, but what?  They should be, as they bought the best they could...doesn't that sound like the Red Sox or Yankees ?  The Aztecs hoops team at 1...
