After a glorious 9-1 week , and 30-10 overall ...I'm going to venture out and give it a try...again... the game everyone around here is talking about...is the Oregon / USC one...it could be 'cuz I've worn a Duck shirt the entire week and people are responding to it...there is no waffling here...it's either a go Ducks , or go Trojans ...funny stuff, really...here goes... Oregon over USC...by 21...really... SDS over Wyoming...the Aztecs are just getting better and better... TCU over UNLV...the woes in Vegas... Auburn over Ol Miss...sorry Ducks, not this week...maybe Massoli gives 'em a present... USC over Tennesee...the other SC... Stanford over Washington...the 2nd best on the coast... Arizona over UCLA...can the Bruins rebound?  Naw... Nebraska over Mizzou...sorry Tigers, it's over... Cal over OSU...well, I hope I'm wrong... Utah over Air Force...the Utes are tough... Game 3 in the Series... Tex is favored ...I don't think so... S...

I was working in the lab, late last night ...nothing better than Bobby "Boris" Pickett ...somebody wake up the Rangers ...who have started the Series with a huge THUD ...or is it, the Giants have that charisma and THING that some teams just have at the end of a season...I think it's a combo of the two...look for Texas to get one at home...by the way, that crowd is deliriously great... SF. .. I stumbled across an eerie sight ...did you watch your Survivor ?  I have never seen a player give up his "get out of jail card" so easily... And just how does Charlie stay out of jail? I'm not bragging or anything...but...we laid out at the pool yesterday and had a wonderful swim...80*... Sloppy, game number one...and it goes to the Giants ...11-7, what?  6 errors and not indicative of the best the MLB has to offer...didn't it seem real long, too? I kid about the length of the NBA season, but the teams are already on cruise control...did you watch the 1st Q of the Blazers game?  Absolutely no blocking out and it made for the Griffin kid looking like Dominique...give me a break...the seats are too expensive to watch that fiasco... Oops, that's 2 for 2 negative ... The Bolts are favored...again...this time it's Tennessee...the team (SD) is in disarray...the wideouts are banged up...the special teams are injured and bad...and there is little hope around this sad team... do not pick 'em .... All eyes are on the Duck / Trojan game in LA...the spread is for Oregon by 7....but, the pundits are really picking USC in an upset...not me... Ducks win by 21+ ... Charlie Sheen ...OMG...he is such a mess...if he were in the NFL, MLB, or NBA, he would be sh...

It's this odd time of the year, where 3 pro sports are played at the same time...it's the beginning of the World Series ...where the Giants wear the pride of the National League West against the upstart Rangers ...and the oh so boring NFL drudges on with their early season games....and now, the 7 month NBA starts up...is the hockey going, too?  Anyhooo...turn away Shink on this...let's talk about the pro hoops... The Big 3 in Miami played at Boston last night...the Celts are talented and deep...the Heat are not...LeBron looks OK, but it is a tough sell for me... LA beat a very fast Houston group, which I like a lot...and the PDX Blazers beat up on Phoenix, a team they could not get past last year...Batum has improved and they are a playoff team...better that the Lakers?  Naw, but nevertheless, fun.... Collegiate hoops....in all the years of the AP top whatever, SDS has never...never...been ranked in their top 25....and it appears that the Aztecs will finally ...

An article in the Trib made me think about what's been bugging me lately...the golf grip company, Lamkin , was talking up their product...about the necessity of changing the grips on your clubs more often...to adapt your grip to your, well, grips...and to pick either rubber or leather then..wait...their product is made in China ...what?  It's where most golf clubs are made... what?   The "American Made" Callaways, Taylor Made, Ping, on and on...and I got to thinking...we pretty much bought all our furniture new for this condo...and EVERYTHING we bought was made in China ...different stores and suppliers, but all made in China ...so when we talk about the lack of jobs in the US, maybe, just maybe, we need to point our finger at our "American" businesses...always, just follow the money...the lobbyists allow our politicians to farm out these products...get into it and you'll be shocked... well, maybe not. .. OK, I know I'm hard on the Bolt's...

Of course you know my sentiments on the BCS (BS) ...a mess of corruption that pits the inequity of money over common sense...that the collegiate presidents allow to continue so that they can save their positions...due to all the $ their schools collect from a bowl game...and their fear of losing that, if there is a playoff...not withstanding, the best game in our system now...the collegiate football...clean it up... That's a long intro to what's what...in the AP the Ducks remain numero uno...but the BSBCS is done a different way...where the Auburn Tigers , fresh off a survival over LSU, leap frogged the quack to the top spot...hey, you can make a case for TCU, Boise St., MSU, and a few others...that's why a playoff would be the answer...not some lame poll... OK, for the week, I was 9-1 , only missing on the Okla/Mizzou game...the one I was hoping I'd miss...so overall, 30-10 ...not bad, huh... The Bolts lost again..this time at home to NE...they made it interesting...
