The mighty Padres have stumbled to an all time low yesterday in their hit less game to one former Salem Volcano , Jonothan Sanchez and the SF Giants . Congrats to him and them, but OMG to the SD group who were no-hit thru 7 the day before. ..this is a grand time to clear the cupboard and get rid of the under-performing likes of this management ...go ahead, make my day ! I must write about THE MJ MEMORIAL ...it was like any highly memorable event...don't underestimate the word any ...the impact of MJ has been an ongoing thing for over 38 years....probably not as much lately for the public, but definitely so for his kids...the eulogies and singing were haunting...I couldn't help but feel so sad...when Jermain sang " Smile " I lost it...and then when Paris spoke of her daddy...well... That's it...why would he leave his loves?... I'm just at a loss for it all ...

I'm just not sure of what I think of the trade of Scotty Hairston to the A's for 2 minor league pitchers and a player to be named later, supposedly another pitcher...it came 1 hour after the OT loss to the Dodgers yesterday...he was our leading hitter after AGonzo and leaves us with no coverage of the big lefty....it leaves us with Kooz ( OMG! ) or Headley ... Which brings me to the issue of the day...trading players like they are pieces of meat ...if you, as a player, don't have a trade clause in your contract, you have to accept whatever the GM's of the MLB world do to you...most of the teams in the league trade players so frequently it is rare to see the same players on YOUR team for longer than 2 or 3 years...the Padres GM is not a favorite of mine as you know... Are you bewildered by the White House 's reaction to their diplomacy of Iran? Tiger wins in DC ...he is soooo good ... I'm not a tennis fan, but the Wimbledon matches seemed kinda cool....

For all the gloom and doom I throw out about the Padres , there is hope at the SS position in the 22 year old Everth Cabrera . He adds pop in the bat, speed, youth, a live arm, and a decent glove...if you were watching the national telecast of the SD / LA you saw the uncovering of the new SD SS hope...the reason the game was on was because of Manny 's return to the game... ManRam is the real deal...there are very few players in the game that can change it like he does...cheater or not, he can play the game...and draw the crowds...I say thank you LA for attending, we need the $... Tiger and AKim are the featured last group in the DC tourney...tied at 10 under...should be a blast and there are a bunch of others just a stroke or two off the pace...calling for rain there...
