More and More

Must start off with a team that is playing as well as it can...and whupped the Cards last eve...for the 4th straight...and 8 of the last 10...might not seem like much to you...but around here, it is a sign...the Pads...got 5...with a couple of dingers...and some solid pitching from Cash and the relief crew...it's a good thing...and way fun...

For the rest of the nation that is getting a lot of rain, we are not...and the basin in mid Cal produces much of what we eat...for the entire country...if this pattern continues, expect to not only have less food, but much more spendy, too...

As the stock market took a huge hit this past week, I contacted our money guy Jon...and we are in a watch and see what happens on Monday...hmmm...this China thing has it's veins...er, arteries...whatever...

Like many of the interested, we watched the Donald talk to thousands in 'Bama...in Mobile...at a football stadium...he is trying to establish the "it factor"...not for me...polished he is not...and I do not get substance from the guy...just a lot of "this is what I'm going to do"...types of things...but oh my, he is a Repub...

I don't get this...is the main concern of this country is to deal with the illegals?...like the Mexican people...really?...this is the big issue?...get a life...there are so many more important items on the agenda...a concern, yes...but THE NUMBER 1?...c'mon...

I am not going into the interview...much... that I stomached through...as he sat at a mall...and gave his views...kind of...however...his answer to the military...he gets his info from watching on TV, reading papers, and periodicals...oh my....well, at least he has a leg up on Sarah....

Where are the rest of the candy men and women?...is this a one horse race?...you better get your face seen and heard...

As we have the LeAnn Rimes Concert, with the SD Symphony this eve...and it will be way fun...she can sing, kids...we've seen her a couple of times...

BTW, also in concert tonight...out at the Sports Arena...is Shania Twain...dang, that would be good, too...

Quasi

Hmmm...the North Koreans stated that they are in a "Quasi state of war with South Korea"...itchin' for something to happen, is my take on this...they are so overfunded in military, and so underfunded in everything else...and are a threat to the rest of the world, not only the South...be very aware of what's happening there...if it were up to me, there would PEACE on earth...

A brief respite in the season for the Pads...as the Cardinals come to town...and bring the total package...still...I don't think they are the best...they do have excellent pitching...which is the dominant factor in that game...just ask the Detroit Tigers...who have fallen off the face of decent teams...cuz of it...I digress...believe me on this...we have a chance against this team...must score at least 4 a game...

The Neuman Day at the Races...was a blast!...and I was in the hunt for the Pick 5 yet again...hit the first 4 races...had two going in the 5th...and lost on a head bob...eegads...lucky or unlucky...we still had fun...hit enough to stay on the positive side of things...and was too late to catch the last Coaster back...so took an Uber...hmmm...have not seen the price of that...oh well, no options...

As the political season is upon us, depending on your views and all...the Bill Maher Show is a comical take on it...HBO...and he definitely is coming from the left...and worth the time on a weekly basis...as it gets going a bit, so does he...right now he is mellow....maybe he is always...if you KNOW what I mean...

The Donald is in Alabama....and wow...I mean WOW!...his following has grown...and he has to move his speech there from a town hall setting...to get this, a football stadium...hmmm...I keep telling you, the momentum factor is undeniable...and he has got it...he is pounding his nearest rivals...hear me closely...in the next month, many of the Repub wannabes, will drop out...it's already to that stage...

How many Jonas Bros are there?...seems like they all are dating the new it girls of LA...whatever that means...

Tomorrow we have a concert on the bay....LeeAnn Rimes...plays with the SD Symphony...a group of us are going and have a table...it's a short walk and the setting is undeniably beautiful...I'll take pix...

Oh my...the last gasp of the season for Tiger...like in Woods...if he is to get into the Fed-Ex T...he has to either win or come in 2nd in this one...and the runner-up still may not do it...anyway, he started with his best round of the year...a 64...in my dreams...let's just see how today goes...

It's Too Late?

Probably the most coveted album of it's time...and after...the legendary Carole King released it...she, with Gerry Goffin, had written so many hits for others in the 60's...check 'em out...this time, she did her own...Tapestry...everyone had it...I mean EVERYONE...and the best and most popular cut on it, was "It's Too Late"...

Which just may be the mantra for the Repubs...as the momentum has steam rolled into a runaway leader...the Donald...so many peops have said no way...there is no shot in Hell that that guy is going to win the nomination...hmmm...the numbers tell us otherwise, my good friends...many are fed up with the older type politicians ...and want real change...like a businessman who has produced...and is going to do the same sort of thing to the nation...is it too late?...

Look at the mess in St Louis...as more chaos has hit the streets...another black killed by the police...more of this tension biz...all this eerily similar to what happened just prior to the Vietnam War...

Real sad note...I read about one of my old players had died of a heart attack...I mean, way too young...and I am stunned and saddened...just not right...terrific kid and way talented...

It took awhile, but the latest CNN Repub Polls are out...and guess what?...your guy, the Donald, has increased his lead...what?...he is at 24%....next is Jeb at 13%...eegads...just trying to figure out who is voting on him...cuz, most of my elephant friends are dead set against him...hold onto your Trump hat, kids, as the wind will pick up...

The Pads got game numero uno last eve at Petco versus Atlanta...alias, the Braves...did so as the closer, former Atl guy, Kimbrel...did NOT have his normal stuff...far from it...thanks go to the opponent's crazy whiffing...SD survived...rookie Colin Rea won again...

No survivors from the plane crash in Indonesia...do not fly there...what a bizarre track record...
