You know I don't travel everywhere...but, when I do...I see more street people than ever before...wherever I go...from the cold area to the warm...so, is it that they have just become more visible? ...hmmm... Stores closing their doors...with huge numbers of people laid off...where are they going to get employed?...and it didn't just start...and for years, like 75 months worth ...so many companies moved their bases out of the US...and got their products made in other countries...well documented...so what happened to 'them' who were working 'here' when the move happened? ...not everyone is working at Mickie D's... Where are we going with this?... Macy's is closing 68 of their stores, throughout the US... 10,000 jobs ...gone...I bring this up, as it has more implications than meet the eye...our malls have key 'big stores' at the corners of them...that help the smaller ones...and when one of them biggees folds, who is next?...my fear, is that the way we shop will change...drastically...along the way...many daily jobs go with it...
