CRAZY HORSE

Finally the day has arrived...we move in to our new digs...just a bit down the road, but it has much more space...and a 2nd bedroom!  The kitchen is a lot bigger, the view is awesome, and we now have 2, count them, 2 parking spaces...it's been a long journey to get here, but it's been worth the wait... The Padres got game number 2 last night...8-5, which was not that close...AGonzo had 4 hits...we kept KCorreia in a bit too long that allowed the Bucs to score when they wouldn't have normally...we remain 2 1/2 games up on SF, where we go this weekend for a bang...it's cool that these games mean so much...my son is trying to get tix, and they are all sold out...thus pricey....1st things first...get Pitt today and complete the sweep... Let's see, put the couch over there...

My oh my...the Padres got game number 1 versus the Pirates ...coupled with the loss by the Giants ...back up to 2 1/2 game lead...recently added Ryan Ludwick bopped 2 dingers and Wade LeBlanc finally got a win...been a couple of months...he's been the guy who all the others have got to...need these wins going into the Giants games at SF this weekend... I know I have been going here for a long stretch, but... Tiger has been going downhill...and fast...does he have a prayer in the PGA championship?  Naw, not one good one...and there has been a mention about him not getting on the Ryder Cup squad...in due time, he will be back...on the other hand... Lefty ....arthritis and also, now....a vegetarian ...next he is going to say he's a ....naw, not going there...the two top dogs going weird on me... This moving stuff is hard on the bodies...

After an arduous 2 day drive from Salem to San Diego, I have time to reflect on my 10 day journey...what's been going on here, there, and everywhere... The move ...could not have happened without my Salem friends...the ridiculous amount of stuff that had to be dealt with... The stay ...my hosts, Dave and Laurie Snook were absolutely the best...it was a looooong stay and they put up with me...great thing is that they were morning people too... The Masterz ....superbly run tourney by the Morrises , Rick Ziebell, and the new kids...it was way cool to see many of my golfing friends again... The reunion s ...kind of weird to see how people change...people are strange...and I'm sure I haven't changed a lick...well, oops, on that... The drive ...seeing Cris's new digs in mid-town Sacramento...so hip and modern...great place...coasting through LA, which was actually smog free for the 1st time ever...and the beautiful sight of the ocean south of LA on my way down to SD.....
