CRAZY HORSE

Good morning, kids!...after another monster day of heat, we are settling back to normality ...the 70's return...not that I don't like the occasional heat wave...but, I am glad to see it gone, too...we don't have our AC on much, but the past week we have...it's good to test it out, anyhoo... Tiger...made the cut...without any trouble ...but, gosh, watching him walk, I think it is amazing he is doing as well as he is...just one over now...starting the weekend...the leader?...the hottest guy in the game, like in the World...continues his streaking... Scotty Scheffler ...up by 5, and that is probably significant...but, the winner of the Masters...it is the coup de gras...just a bit more pressure than normal...great weekend viewing... Who'd a thunk that the first TWO starting pitchers would throw no hitters for the time the brass left them out on the mound, for the Padres? ....it is so...first Yu , was on...went 6 in the blown save by the pen...then, last nite, the newb...

For most of us, in my generation...either you hate or lurve this iconic golfing model...Tiger Woods ...as per usual, STARS have unusual private lives...there is no perfection, kids...sorry, I know you want that, but it doesn't exist...soooo, let's concentrate on the golf...in his first time back to competitive golf, Tiger shot a MINUS ONE at the Masters ...after a near crippling car accident some 14-17 months ago...he returned...who on earth can do this?...somebody who is extremely driven....and, he is 4 back starting round 2...will he win?...shoot, I dunno....but the fact that he is playing, in contention, boggles me mind...as the golfing world pays attention...is this a comeback of all time?... Speaking of comebacks...or give aways...opening day for MLB ...and the mighty (or pathetic) Padres ...in Arizona...as the starting pitcher for the Friars, Yu, threw 6 hitless innings ...the relief corps held on until...closer time...and hear me...it was perfectly awful...the temporar...

You listening to the early returns on the Masters?...the course is wet, and yup, very long due to the rains...the weather is supposed to cooperate from here on out...as I am writing, there are only 5 blokes under par...and Tiger is even...steven...which apparently is good, for today...hate that the video doesn't start till noon...this is my fav of the year of all golfing events... The Padres got a closer from the Rangers, giving up the Sheriff, who was dangled most everywhere...as the season starts TODAY...as Arizona...facing Madbum...Yu is going for us...the headline in the Trib, 'Optimism Pessimism'...guess that is a firm I dunno...could be good, could be bad...listen kids, it's all about the pitching... The Putin War...this is as  bad and mismanaged as it could be...something tells me they are not as powerful as one may think...which, is a terrific thing for the World...the Kremlin should do their thang and drop the guy....a one way trip to Siberia... It's a fact...

What the heck?...what on earth was that? ... the domination of North Carolina in the 1st half of the Champ game... up by 15...and breezing ...the Kansas (CITY?) Jayhawks, perfectly miserable shooting...clanging LAY INS in insurmountable terms...either affected by the gimpy legged Tar Heel center, or just plain choking...whatever, it looked like a rout in the making... However, out came the re-energized Jayhawks ... running, playing smothering D, and finally...making some shots ...couple that with the wearing down of the North Carolina guys...with all the cash these teams dole out...ha ha...via the scholarship route, of course... why oh why, aren't they 8 or 9 deep? ...the game turned...as did the score...and from the 10 minute mark...it was all even... In critical times, there are those who 2nd guess what is being called (refs), the D rendered, and the plays that are orchestrated ...it is panic time...knowing that the victor is to be crowned...say what you want...most of it is jus...

'Close Outs' , like one of the raging phrases in the hoop world ...as the game is often decided by the 3 ball...somehow bother the shooter, that is 'casting it off' from long range... which was the commentary back when I played. ..he was always 'casting it off'...now, most everyone does...ruined the fluidity of the game... Shooters want to go where they can 'cast it off' ...not where they have to defend and run an, gulp, offense...oh well... the ladies final game, was more of old school...the bigs beat the littles...decidedly ...the Horse missed this one...more, cuz of what I have been saying for the past month...that UConn was the team to watch... South Carolina had the best players...that played like the best ...and the guards from UConn were not on...the recipe perfect for the Gamecocks...from the get go...as they CLOSED OUT their season, without a doubt as the champ team... Tonight, the guys do their thang ...I don't see much of a match... Kans...

So many adjectives that would describe the match up between Duke and North Carolina ...in the preliminary stage, then in the middle of the game, of course, and in the aftermath...it was a beaut...altered by some strange officiating, but that is to be expected...who were those dudes, anyhow?... as North Carolina won again over Coach K's squad ...they were better...flat out...the Tar Heels could shoot the rock...the difference... BUT, both teams were savvy on their game plans...it was such, that no one should lose ...it was EPIC! ... A sidelight, is that the Horse continues his streak of prognostications ...streaking I tell ya...as Kansas won the opener over Villanova ...inasmuch, as I have to boast this...that the Jayhawks are the BEST in the country...will handily beat UNC on Monday ...or, whenever they play...have yet to see the Vegas Boys line, but they were wrong on Duke, and we shall see the points differential on the champ game... The ladies today...going with UConn ...as ...
