Morning, kids...the plight of a NBA franchise...to win a championship ... ONLY! ...nothing else matters...apparently...with 30 teams vying for the crown, it is no easy feat...duh...just ask the likes of the Clip Joint and the Blazers...chime in on this, the Toronto Raptors ...who had a terrific REGULAR season...winning 59 games and were the numero uno seed in the east... The head coach, Dwane Casey , was voted on BY HIS PEERS as the Coach of the Year! ...magnificent...especially, with not having a superstar in the mix...alas, as the playoffs unfolded, they got beat...badly...maybe, a better word is, soundly...by the superstar and his playmates, LeBron James...and that was it, for the ownership of Toronto...he was FIRED! ... Listen, he has, er HAD, no superstars...none...zilch...zero...nada ...they had to get one or two to win on the next level...and somehow their ownership, felt that they were better than they actually were...or are...it's a bum deal that Casey got...and h...

Strikes fear into most everyone, the thought of 'Mid Terms!' ...tests...them bloody tests...however, I am talking POLITICS , kids...as we have an election coming up on June 8...the ballots are here, as well as the voter's pamphlet...now be honest, how many of you actually read these thangs? ...I do...and I am amazed at the production...there are blokes running for an office, that have NOTHING about them in it...just a name and a picture...there you go, vote for me, just cuz...eerily similar to the campaign we have here at the home, for those running for the Board...ha ha...I digress... Over at the Players in Jacksonville, Florida... the PGA dudes are slamming the course ...like scoring real well...hmmm, except the ones I picked...especially Lefty , who absolutely FELL APART , like hackitis, on the back 9...and is last in the field... Tiger and Rickie are on the bubble...and for pure drama, you must catch the island green on #17...great teevee....the leader is a yo...

Doesn't make much difference where you are...but to look outside is mighty refreshing, maybe more enlightening...as I look Outside My Window ...and watch the day...unfurl ...a common passage of blokes just LIKE me...the beauty of a condo...seeing the hustle and bustle of a city beneath you...it makes you feel... ALIVE! ... We have been toying with replacing our appliances , maybe more in the 'upgrading mode' ...had a well known contractor out yesterday to discuss the idea...when asked what he would do, if it were his, he replied "wait until they are broke" ...ah hem, he must have all the business he needs...ha ha...we'll head on out to the appliance store he recommended...and do a look see...if it does not invigorate us, we will shelve it... as you know, we have the 7 year itch ... Just can't imagine a cup of coffee not in hand...take that away from your morning, and it would be a crisis in the making...have that feeling often, when we are traveli...

When is the last time, were you perfectly clear as to what this administration is doing?...OK, I hear the latest...about the 3 detained 'prisoners' in North Korea, Americans, that are to be released, just prior to the summit...good...at what cost?...who cares, get 'em back...POTUS pulling out of the Iran Nuclear Deal , as the country there shouts 'death to America!'...as he blames Prez O for such a terrible 'deal' ... Listen ...he, meaning Trump, only has but a few things that he can really change...most everything will be blocked by Congress...EVEN with the majority!...this is one of them...the Iran Deal ...what else can he do?...well, declare WAR!...but, that, too, has to be ratified...so I say, hang with it all...as long as he doesn't do something drastic...in the remaining time of his rule...egads... Clarity is truly the thang we have in the NBA west...Houston versus Golden State...the two top teams, probably, in the league...set sail on a bes...

The latest phenomena in the bigger cities...is how the masses get around...once was owned by the Taxis ...right?...along came the pedicabs , which is huge here in the GQ (Gaslamp Quarter)...for those not in the know...geez, is walking dead?...then, the brilliance of Uber and Lyft ...another form of 'taxiing', that is quicker and cheaper...alas, cometh is the $1 dollar an hour bike or scooter! ...you pay, you ride, and you just drop the bike or scooter, wherever you want...who walks?... It brings a problem with it... blight ... they are obnoxiously yellow and green  (I know, you heathens equate that to Oregon colors)...some are also OSU orange...and you can find them EVERYWHERE! ...saw one on the side of the road on I-5...even on the road out in El Cajon, by my golf club...who would ride one out there?...the oasis island of Coronado...you know, where the beautiful Hotel Del is the main draw... banned the bloody things ... Bike sharing is what it is called...another probl...

Morning, kids...the shine is beating down upon ya.... wondrous weather here in SoCal ...as we hit the beach after an early round of golf...and joined up with thousands of fellow sun worshipers over at Mission Beach ...it does not get any better than this...top it off, when the kids are with ya'll...bingo!... Somehow we avoided all the hoopla of Cinco de Mayo ...it was all around us, but the other options were better...enough said... The NBA ...the Cavs are still waltzing thru Toronto...as are the Celtics bashing the 76ers...I don't think coaching Philly is easy or fun...the west will play out to be, the two top seeds...as they go today... How about them Padres! ...they were NO HIT on Friday, by a bevy of Bums...4 pitchers combined to silence the SD bats...in Mexico...where the Trib pronounced that there was an average of 100 to 1, LA jerseys to SD's...yes, this is supposed to be a Padre set of home games...alas, the game yesterday, was a turnaround...and the Pads g...
