CRAZY HORSE

It's the way it should be...greeted at the door...assigned a name tag...welcomed...ask who you here to see...invited to sit down...had fresh water and fruit available...had a roaming hospital volunteer check on you regularly. ..offer you coffee...the rest rooms easily accessible....had workers update you on the condition of your son during surgery...it was taking an hour and half longer than expected...tv was showing the gals Olympic hockey match...finally THE doctor comes out and tells what he did and the aftermath...describes it in detail...the nurse appears (cheerfully) and tells us he is still sleeping...gives us a time table...the way it SHOULD BE!....Cottage Hospital in Goleta, California.   He is home now and doing well.   Did watch the Idol top 13 show...well...at least the top gal got in it...three country guys...interesting.... Waiting for some coffee...can't wake the surgery boy...

Well...the top ten gals on American Idol ...collaboratively....the worst they have ever had...is it that the pool has shrunk?...the judges did a rotten job of picking?...or as JLo put it, "they were RUSHED into their performances?"...whatever the reason...there was but one who partially resembled a STAR...most of 'em were...TURRIBLE!...OK, I know this is like emphatic...yup...but if the guys aren't better...my time a watching will dwindle for this show...it's that bad, kids... Finally got the time to view Jimmy Fallon's first as anchor for the Tonight Show...really, really LIKED IT!...he is a huge presence, with undeniable energy...and creativity...as the "celebrities" laid $100 on his desk...a couple of things...why KK?...I think I heard boos when she came out...and LiLo looked awful...not necessarily a fan of U2...but their impromptu song, which grew into a monster singalong...was fantastic....geez, the show isn't on until midnight...follow...

Unfortunately...it is inevitable...the chaos in Kiev...in the Ukraine ...I think this has been a sleeping giant of a storm...knowing full well that it was going to erupt...too many differences...too many religious leaders and poverty...a menu of destruction...and it has begun... So, the grade I gave the Boz Scaggs concert?... C+ ...what?...well, it started as we approached the theater...we walked right by one of the busses of the bands...and popping right out in front of us, was  the one and only Boz!...instead of embracing his adoring fans, he ducked his head and jumped right back in the safe sanctuary of the greyhound...of all the reactions he could have had, this was the worst...like he was a Beatle or something....to be fair, his sound was good...and the fav, "Midnight Train To Georgia", was flawless....but when he got to doing his oldie but goodies...he was just fair...and didn't do all of the very good ones...and his encore was a dismal piece that I hadn't ...

Tonight's the night, completely...you give me your love....wait, that's not the BOZ! ...it's Lowdown, Georgia, Jo Jo, Lido Shuffle....and on and on ...as he is here this eve at the Balboa Theater...there will be eight of us Scaggites roaming the Q, partying before the huge event...and in my opinion, "Midnight Train To Georgia" the best of the best... So another killing in Florida ...where the jury kind of locked up the assailant....the loud music trial...for the idea of it all, but not the actual act...what?...I guess there are still remnants of the well...you know... So got just a a quarter of the NBA thinger...and it was as expected...more than I remembered...ole!...East won...and Kyrie Irving was the mvp...really?...Griffin was 19-23 in the game...how many of those were dunks?... Is this Prez Day? ...haven't read the paper yet to see the big sales...what do you buy your mate for this occasion?....maybe just give a 5 dollar bill...wait, there is a...

I think that the NBA does it right...more so than MLB and the NFL, for sure...the All Star Weekend...of course, the game itself is a YMCA type of extravaganza...well, event...and there are these very tall humans, running and jumping and dunking...and we like it...and then...off they go back to their real teams and prepare for the wants and personal desires of a champ ring....it's OK...it's fun...take it for what it's worth... Our friends, the Snookis , are here...and we are all over the map...and having a blast...today is a bike ride on the bay...all the way to Point Loma... 72* ....don't hate me...it's like that here most of the time...we still pinch ourselves... Do you realize how hard golf is?...as these blokes are going at it in LA...even they make it look difficult...not like when Tiger and Lefty were rolling... I told you about the line in the SDSU and the entire Air Force....the Aztecs won....but against the ball control freaks, it was but a 9 ...
