Morning kids...and the fog has lifted...in me head and on the streets...got to occupy my time with many games last eve...like a dream...and, of course, have some immediate conclusions...

NFL...the Colts beat Tennessee...what's with that weather?...I thought it was a balmy place...never been there, but want to go...maybe this next year...how in the hell did Indy get clobbered by the Rams last week?...go figure...this was a good game...as both teams had their moments...and the Colts got the W...

Georgia Tech runs the triple option...enough said...as I turned this yawner off, it was a blow out for Clemson...by the way, the Tiger fans may be as rabid as the Duck ones...it is an experience...cool for them...

Arizona whupped SDSU...not that the Aztecs aren't that good...they are very athletic....and will win their share...BUT...the Wildcats are fine, super fine...led by the highly successful Sean Miller...who must be a genius at recruiting...as he has all the parts...and will win the Pac 12...ha ha...as I have only seen them play...no other team...but, I think so....


What a miserable road trip for the OKC (Soopersonics)....as they get beat at the horn by the Golden St (Warriors?)...just don't think of Warriors in SF...like how about the Fisherman, or the Trolley, er...well...anyway, this team is a fun one...throw up shots that old coaches would absolutely go berserk over...set it up!...I said, set it up!...ha ha...Coach Markie Mark(Jackson) has 'em going...every one of John Wooden's fundamentals are gone, baby, gone...when it comes to this team...

Is it just me or is Sir Alec Baldwin a bit off?...he is a sir, right?...all blokes named Alec get that distinction...just like all guys with Pete, do....anyway...he has been in a run in with all the paps in NYC for some time...now he gets into it (play on words) with a gal stalker...who she claims had an affair with Sir Alec...and he is telling the world to ___ off!...ha ha...now, that's a bit...

LL has been off the sauce, right?...I mean that's why she went to rehab, right?...well, she needs to be seen...hey, that's a part of the job for these celebs....so she has been posting these selfies...the NEW TERM to mean, taking a pix of yourself...and then posting it online, through one of the many sites that do that...and she has been wearing less and less...not that CH is looking...

So as part of my purchase the other day at the Lamplighter was a new hybrid...from Cobra...just so happens it is one that hasn't been released to the buying public...until today...so I will go down and get an exchange for a 4 in lieu of a 3...which costs me a 20% restocking fee....goofy, if you ask me...still, for $30, I will have a club that may go 185 yards...which I don't have...and is easier to hit than a 4 iron...

Oh my, your girl Sarah...she got herself into hot water with her Pope...actually called him out as a liberal...what?...don't you ever call a man of the cloth such a thing...blasphemy...so she is running around trying to explain herself...you know she is going to run against HC, right?...can't have these skeletons in her repertoire....I'm sure there is a good explanation...

Your Perception

Some times we get bogged down by the little things...in life...and make much too much of them...like waiting for the channel to return from a commercial...which seems to last like forever...instead of using that space and go rinse out a glass...which is half full, or half empty?...how do YOU perceive things?...do you go round the day thinking that there is not enough time to complete all your tasks...or do you feel like you got a lot of things done for this one....and feel satisfied...and that's the key...YOUR LEVEL OF SATISFACTION...can you make more money?...can you own more toys?...can you have a bigger condo?...can you have a better view?...can you have a newer car?...can you have a head of darker hair?...can your mate treat you better?...can you get a better mate?...ha ha...you see where I am going with this...calm down, people...relax and enjoy what you have...it's pretty dang good...not that you shouldn't set goals to advance, but get real...

I like to listen to those who rant about God's Will...settling for what is inevitable, due to their Christian upbringing...or whatever it takes to feel that feeling...like going to a church, synagogue, or whatever the meeting place is...and listening to whomever tell you HOW it should be...this thrill to win...happens in faith a lot...sure seems like that set of people have a certain politician that they feel MUST WIN to perpetuate their feelings...always wondered what team God was on when Notre Dame and Boston College played...I mean, they were both asking a lot for the help...I digress...

You are driving on the highway and some bloke or blokette cuts you off...what do YOU do?...smile?...curse?...flip the finger?...give them the circle?...call them names?...does it depend on your mood?...does being a person of faith affect your reaction?...or are we all in this together?...same feelings by all?...on of my faves, chased down an offender and confronted the said person...not recommended...or should you be relieved that you were not in an accident?...that, outside of that brief insurrection, all is well...and you can go on...

Obamacare...now I am testing you big time...with the apparent inadequacies in this new system...and the insecurity of the health insurance businesses...with those companies anticipating a zap into their dollar foundations...unleash a barrage of monetary changes to you, the insured...and upping your premium substantially....hey, these companies are in to MAKE MONEY...yes, to insure you...but to MAKE MONEY...and their perception is that they are going to have to raise more of it from YOU...to fund their losses in Obamacare...I call this OBAMASCARE!...it has just begun, but these insurers have already done their thing....their glass is HALF EMPTY...

Reminds me of the time way back when there was a sugar shortage...and the soft drink companies raised their prices from a dime a can to $.45!...and...I'll never get this, the price of TAB rose right along with it...and it was sugar free...I digress...the amounts of the sweet stuff returned...BUT...the prices remained the same...and still are at that level...which makes me wonder...will the same thing happen to the health insurance companies?...now, I am feeling like the glass is half full...

Crap, now I'm in a bad mood...so I better get back to talking sports...the Clips had a super game against the OKC Thunder (Soopersonics) and get a big W...not without a mini brawl...which, of course, Matt Barnes was involved...and booted...and the end of the PDX game with the Suns was a beaut...as the Blazers continue their upward swing...good on them...as they got the W, too...there is more parity in the league than I anticipated....which is a good thing...not just the bloody Heat and Lakers dominating...

Football tonight...Clemson and Georgia Tech...???...as the Yellow Jackets run that bloody triple option...if you are set for a boring experience, here's your chance..."can't stop that offense, man"...a famous coach (?) once told me...ha ha...and the pro game is Indy at Tennessee...hmmm...half empty...wait, half full....geez, I don't know...instead, watch the Arizona vs SDSU hoops game...it will be a good one...

It's a SILENT AUCTION...hey kids...once in a great while we get out to some cool evenings...last night was one of them...invited by Debi Neuman, one of  Marsha's bosses...to attend the party of parties to honor the best businesses of the Gaslamp Quarter...called the 2013 Lamplighter Awards...held on 11/12/13...what?...food, drink, socializing, mermaids...what?...it was held at the top of the Andaz...and we bid on a few items that were intriguing...and won two...a very cool package stay at the Hard Rock...who says we don' fit?...and a golf package out at Steele Canyon...dang, took a stogie and didn't light it up at the Lamplighter...didn't lite it up...

Is it not way too soon to start up the collegiate hoop season?...I mean the football games are like 5 to go...I don't remember such an overlap...anyway...the top teams played each other...I think they were in Chi-town...and the way the teams are made up anymore...most of the bigs are one and done...the kids have to go to one year of college prior to being drafted, er chosen by the NBA...what the hell do you get out of one year of college ball?....I'm sure most of them blokes don't go to school at all....or just to PE classes...hey, if you can fight and die for your country at 18, it should be that age to be chosen for the NBA...silly...oh yea, the kid from Kansas, Wiggins...the next big, big deal...

JFK...there are more and more shows about him...the 50 year thinger...and he was quite the charismatic guy, huh...fascinating...in these days, he would have had to change his personal habits...no press peops would have hidden all his indiscretions....but...man, could he speak...his oratorical skills were the best of all...even better than Prez O...and that's what we want, right...some bright guy or gal, who represents us the best way possible...

Got it going out at Sycuan yesterday...45-40...now, in layman's terms, not bad...throw out a couple of turrible bunker shots, and I could have been somebody...my putting is getting closer and closer...left at least 4 birdie putts dead in the cup, a roll short...well, not at least...it was 4...and no more...have a T on Saturday and want to get in the $...really looking forward to it...

If you think that driving in LA isn't bad enough...the report out...had KK speeding to elude the paparazzi and got pulled over by LA's finest...and created a traffic jam of historic proportions...as the paps got out and started to take their pix....right on the freeway!...like she isn't photoed enough already...boooo....

Staying in the crass department...as I was laying awake, trying to sleep the other day...???...Marsh had the Bravo show on at 11...and on it was the beeyat...Brandi....from one of them housewives thingers....wait, she isn't married...she was, and now she isn't...so she qualifies, I guess...and she was talking trash about another housewife...wait she isn't married...who slept with one of the guys who was married to one of the present housewives of Beverly Hills...who broke up that one's previous marriage....got it?...and the one named, fought back...and is talking trash about Brandi...class or crass?...just some lovely ladies having a great time in the city...lurve 'em...and this is all on Twitter...such a great tool for some in discretional moments...

MLB...the meeting...get it here first....well, sort of...there is a great chance that next season we will have replay...now they are trying to figure out how to use it...duh...and no talk about the DH...yet...I think it is a done deal...but...let's just wait and see...and they still are trying to figure out how to speed up the game...I have it...move the fences out about 20 feet...the game would be boring, but fast...

Say what you want, but I'd rather watch Oregon, Baylor, or Texas A&M play more than any other team out there...way more than the Tide, Ohio St, or Stanford...I didn't say they were better, just more fun to watch...

Finally, it is Wednesday...so it's time for the line...the betting line...them guys who know....and we don't...so we look at it to see what they know...the intriguing...UCLA by only 2 over UDub...SDSU by only 4 1/2 over the hapless and winless Hawaii...ASU over OSU by 13 1/2....Oregon over Utah by 25????...seems to me, that you take the favorites...regardless of the points...

There are a zillion folk in the GQ...what is the convention?...I mean at 1 yesterday, it was slammed...in the afternoon....

Veteran's Day

If there is a day that is truly needed in this country, it is this one...Veteran's Day...as the people honor those who served...in the military...regardless of how you feel the congressional blokes and blokettes muddled up the world...the guys and gals who carried out the orders are the heroes that are to be honored...it is a huge deal down here in SD...as there are many bases and camps in the area...I suppose no bigger than Camp Pendleton...yes, it is a big thing...and Crazy Horse gives as much credence as he can to those who have put on the uniform...congratulations and thank you!...

And to the less mundane things...that I talk about...

The Bolts lose to the Broncos...as expected...and did make a game of it...sort of...part of the problem is the lack of aggression and play calling in the red zone...you know, that thing that the SDSU Aztecs are very aware of...ha ha...in this one, settling for FG's rather than much needed TD's...oh well, it is what it is...

2007...it was the last time the Minnesota Timberwolves had beaten the Lake Show...what?...Coach Rick Adelman's group...and this is the year to get rid of all those demons...for a lot of teams...as the Wolves pulverized the Lakers last eve...no contest...and the beat goes on for LA...ha ha...

BSBCS...the Ducks fell to number 6....surprises me...just outside the Mendoza...need a few stumbles here and there...won't happen...and there is ground swell against the Buckeyes...would not surprise me if Stanford passed them by...even though Ohio St is undefeated...watch out for Baylor...much better than most folk think...you seen them yet?...they are for real....trust CH...

Saw a movie last night...made by, about, and apparently for...Native Americans..."Smoke Signals"...slipped by the country back in '98...find it on Netflix and give it a pop...has some very good insights in it...on NA living...maybe you don't want to know that stuff...

JFK memories...it is the hot topic throughout this time...different channels are featuring their versions of what happened back in 1963...catch 'em...most are good...a sign of the times...the more you dig, the more you know it was a conspiracy...had to be....someday the truth will come out...someday...

In our latest bout with the elimination of trans fats...M threw out all of it from our cupboards and fridge....really...and we are making our own stuff...had some pancakes yesterday...super...had a cake last night...which we tossed...back to the drawing board on that...take a look at what you consume...it will shock you...if it has poly anything, it is in there...shoot, we are even popping our own popcorn...that microwave stuff is loaded with it...

I had an issue with my iPhone...4S...again...this time...every time I checked for my mail...a thing would pop up saying that the phone could not connect to mail...and then...it would...and all my mail would come through...so...I thought a little setting was off...after talking to Verizon and Apple...for a good 3 hours...it was determined that I had a corrupted something...so...I had to erase my ENTIRE phone and start over...which I did and it is corrected...what a pain in the ass...

Chevy...'57...candy apple red...I had a '57 Ford...4 door...I did NOT COMPLAIN...it was wheels and it got me here and there...eventually traded it for a '56 Olds...with a power everything in it...even a more advanced Power Bar...to switch the radio channels...now one calls that a scan button...roll top leather (?) seats...got about 7 miles to the gallon...thus my prob...even though I would buy it at 27 cents, it seemed like a lot...compare that to $4 a gallon now...ah, them good old days...I just can't remember if it was 2 or 4 door...BUT...I wish I had it today...looked exactly like this...

And that is also what the Tide did to LSU...cruised by 'em...and showed the country that they are, indeed, the top team in the land...just too big...and too fast...and too everything...and the race?...for the team to take them on...is on...and the case will be made for FSU, Ohio St, Baylor...amongst others...and, like in beisbol, I now don't care much...dang...maybe the Cardinal would be a good fit...I just don't know...

NBA...talk about in cruise control....the Miami Heat...as this time it is the upstart Celtics to beat 'em...what?...not a fan of their lackluster start...maybe, it is a sign of things to come...and...the Blazers completed the back to back sweep of the Cousin led Kings...geez, Sac even went to Jimmy in the 2nd half...what?...bad recipe...and...the Clips beat Dwight and the Rockets...I'm telling you, he is NOT a major player...and break up the Pacers...undefeated at 7...that team is looking real large in the rear view mirror, huh LeBron....

Golf in Turkey...a shameless plug for the upcoming holiday...as the Euros and select Americans are viewing for the $...Tiger is there...still banging his driver all over the yard...sure seems like a player that good, should be able to figure that part of his game out...until then...he is just a very good one...not a great one...it's time for another change in his coach...who he fires as much as George did with the Yankees...well, not that bad...but you get my drift...

SDSU wins!...in football...as they came from nowhere and beat San Jose St...with NO kicker of merit...misses extra point kicks...and 6 straight FG attempts...including the winner against the still undefeated Fresno St...and...they have the distinction of allowing scores every time the opponent gets into the red zone...20 yard line and in...29 straight times...the worst in all of football...have not stopped a team yet this season...what?...unheard of stat...and yet win?...how can that be?...

Shepherd notches another one!...running their record to 9-0...with a thrashing of winless West Somebody St...and are making a mockery of the MEC race...nobody derails the Rams...nobody...they are cruisin' through the league...

One last look at the Pac 12...next week...Stanford is at USC...well...and the Ducks host Utah...hmmm..there is a chance that UO could pass them Cards up...hate to say it, but I'm pulling for the Trojans...which I rarely do...regroup Ducks, regroup...

Finally...MLB is meeting in Orlando...and the agenda (outside of trading blokes) is changes...the biggest rumor?...the National League adopting the DH...really think it will happen...have mixed thoughts on it...but, it makes no diff what you or I think...
