CRAZY HORSE

Wooah, we have the next weekend of football games ...always cool...college stuff...the best of all days for them...as I recall... all levels, DIII, on up to the DI ...people go, watch the matches...it was always fun...I'm telling you nothing new...so, what do we have today?... How about this, two undefeated squads... Duke at Kansas ... not talking hoops, kids...it be football ...bout time... Florida at Tennessee ...both teams on the rebound...getting back...both top 20... Toledo at SDSU ...and, the visitors are favored...man, that hasn't been the case for years... Oregon at WSU ...Ducks favored, but still the jury is out...as the Cougs are undefeated...I see this as a toss up... Wisconsin at THE Ohio St ...this was one of those, that would be close...but the Buckeyes are for real... USC at Oregon St ...TIME for an upset for the Beavs...they can do it...have history of doing so... There you go... The Prez Cup ...we are ahead going to the afternoon 4somes...10-4...love the...

There appears to be a real connection to the two camps ...more so than I originally thought...if not for some rather shallow sleep, I doubt if I could have come up with this... the similarities of the KK camp, and that of trump's camp ...I so wanted to call it Kamp but the inference was totally wrong...yup, camp, stuck... COMMONALITY ...their idear is to KEEP THEIR NAME IN THE NEWS ... at all costs ...makes no difference if it is positive or negative...well, better if pos, of course...thus, that's what they do... KK post pix , and donny talks ...the more they are seen and heard, the more popularity they get...one does it for cash, the other for politics...and the Horse falls right in the trap...I talk about donny... The Friars let one slip away ...as the RP corp failed...gave up a grand salamy and the result was a L...dang...off to Colorado, for another set of must wins... The Prez Cup was a delight ...the US won 4 of 5 matches...and are in the driver's seat...two more set...

It is my competitive nature, that triggers what I write about...often...like to see it in action ... competition ...the one exception, is my own...in golf...just try to play it...and not attempt to beat anyone else...as I pull for my playing partners, not against them...back to it... the team golf that the USA gents play ... the Presidents Cup ...versus the 'other than Europe dudes' ...it starts this weekend and I call it FUN...these are all non-LIV players...the Norman blokes are not included...they already have their scratch... The freakin, streakin Friars ...now at 5 straight wins...with a Blake Snell gem...gave up just one hit thru 7...and the RP held up, as the Padres won 1-0....day game today...keep on a chugging, boys... Looking ahead to the gridiron...that USC / OSU game is a blockbuster...the Ducks in the Palouse is another...and in the NFL, the Bills at the Dolphins is intriguing...(who decided on that spelling?)... An answer to a WHY from a few weeks back ... Gi...

The gang is still a moving...calling us the Wanderers ...ha ha... as we sneak thru the month of September...here, there, and everywhere ...the same holds forth for October...egads...a lot of destinations and some times via the VW and some via Cosmo ...what $?...yes, the 'fixed income' will be affected...we are just locked in to the trips coming up... In passing, the new site of Laguna Beach is a winner ...only like 1 1/2 hours away...who knew?...we just found spots to go...the hotel was great...the food and booze, terrific...and really nearby, all walkable...get these stats...if true...24,000 in the city, and only 24 homeless...we did not see ONE!...and for goodness sakes, no tents anywhere...the weather?...man, it is even nicer than SD...a few degrees warmer...the place we stayed was built in '56 and remodeled in 2013...seemed like we were right on the water, and the waves...going back?...you betcha... On the agenda next...is a trip to Indio , to dogwatch...them Morrise...

This is just a quick note…Laguna Beach is simply amazing…we are right on the water…the waves at nite, is mesmerizing…ah, are…we found the coolest shopping downtown…just like State St in Santa Barbara…now, to the pool…the dinner is at Oak…so perfect…

Bang the gong!...naw, this was a legit song...by the rocker group, BTO...Bachman Turner Overdrive ...the hit, 'Takin' Care of Business' , sure had the feel of the wall of sound...and my reference to the gong thang, was the irreverent TV show back when, 'The Gong Show' ... Chuck Barris ...however, I am really talking about (whew) is that the Friars won the last 3 in 'Zona ...have the lead in the wild card spot for #2...take a day off, then HOST the always tuff, Saint Looey Cards...more put up or shut up games...not Pad stuff, is that AARON JUDGE hit numbers 58 & 59 HR's , in their good win (for us) over the Brew Crew...having a dream season, he is... Nightmare...the finish of the Fortinet Championship on the PGA Tour ...as Danny Willett (the Brit) watched in amusement, as his nearest rival, Max Homa (not a Brit) chipped in for a birdie on the final hole...Willett, had a 4 ft birdie himself, for the win...alas, he missed it, then MISSED the tap in......

The bounce of the ball, so erratic with the shape of the football ... the pigskin ...are they still made of that?...NOPE!...the reality of it all...the ones used like for the elders...ha ha...are now made of cowhide ...thus, the pigs have been saved... the lower levels use synthetic stuff...like rubber and the like ...thing is, it was never made of pigskin...first it was the pig's bladder , covered by leather...then, in the late 1800's, it was rubber... then they covered it with leather...cow's ...SO, the ball is either leather or vulcanized rubber...and now you know...it is all slang... Another set of eye openers yesterday ... the Ducks thoroughly handled the much higher ranked BYU guys... the Bevos mauled Montana St, chalking up 68!... USC beat Fresno and set up next week's match with OSU... Miami cane down to earth and got whacked by Texas A&M... the Dawgs won over Mich St, a very nice win...and UCLA survived over South (?)
