I'm the dude who likes the Olympic hoops ...I'm not the one who likes the severity of trying to find where it is on the pixels...and fuggit about where the gals games are...you"ll never find them...sorry, NBC, but this production is a mish mash piece of mediocrity ...too bad... as we are hearing about some incredible performances by a number of USA athletes...in swimming, gymnastics, 2nd Amendment item (shooting), volleyball, and others ....that you can't find on their telecast...I digress... I did happen on the guys hoops ...mid 2nd quarter...and alas...there was high drama!...we were getting beat by Australia ...let's be honest, we have a very good team at the event...we don't have our best dudes in it...some cuz of that mosquito thing... Lebron, Curry, Griffin, CP III, and Lillard, all would make this an invincible squad ...as is, we could be had...the Aussies field a group of present and past NBA guys...ie, the hated guard ( I hate him) of the Cavs, ...

Say what you will about the Rio Olympics ...that many are not watching the event...on and on...BUT...do not diminish the outstanding long going achievement of one Michael Phelps ...the swimmer phenom...who got two more Golds last eve...think that gives him like 21?...or so...he's not done...his ability to stay at the top of HIS game is beyond compare... Many of the guys hoopsters were there in support last eve ...as they get back on the hardwood tonight...gotta be fun for the participants to hang out at the other events and all... The Padres , er Prospects , lost game one at Pitt...say now...one of the elder gents who writes in the Trib...took exception to the onslaught of criticism of the Pads blabber mouth brass dude Fowler. ..started his column off ripping one who called the bloke an embarrassment....ha ha...thought at first he was talking about me...thanks for reading...then saw on Twitter, it was another blogger...dang...see, he thinks that what Fowler says is warrant...

You ever thought that it couldn't have been a more colorful day than this one?...like the Jellybeans? ...do they even make them any more?...the sun is out...the sky is blue ...the grass is green ...the cars are shiny ...you feel like having a cold, frothy root beer ...see?...it's a gloriously colored day... Me golf was green with envy...my new, er old, Ping Irons were tight and silver ...the course was dried out and very brown ...although the greens were more of a lighter shade of green ...I wore a black hat, that shaded my very blonde hair...almost platinum , for those of you in the know... The Padres had the day off, which is a very good thing...and will have their gold and blue on tonight, after traveling to the Steel City of Pittsburgh...Mgr Green has his lineup set, complete with the newbies, er Prospects dotting it...hopefully, the white balls will fly out of the park, hit by the good guys... And what the heck is going on in the Rio Olympics? ...ho...

Morning, ya'll!...went to our SD daughter's wedding yesterday...long story...it was great and she and her new hubby are a perfect match...man, that is two weddings in a couple of months ...been like 20 years since the last one...maybe more...we must be bad gift givers...er, maybe bad friends...or maybe, we have no friends...or, well you can draw your own conclusions...ha ha...here's a pix of what we call the "wedding crashers" ... After perhaps the worst week ever...EVER ...for the Donald ...he must rebound for some positive showing...if possible...I keep telling ya to wait for the debates....there are those who say that he will be even worse in them...hmmm...I don't think so...as he held his own during those in the Repubs...anyway...most of you Demos are feeling mighty happy right now...and you should be...this does look like a slam dunk...right?... Deja Vu ... Delta Airlines shut down all flights...world wide ...computer glitch...hmmm...doesn't tha...

National pride does take over...I said I wasn't gonna watch the Olympics...I lied...not intentionally...of course, I marveled at the guys hoop team...and how Coach K and his staff has (have?) the guys ready ...surprised at the tree lined streets of the forever bike race...do not understand the pull of riding in packs... Does appear that Rio is gorgeous! ...and that damn mosquito is taking the charm out of the events and the beauty of the city ...too bad...wonder how a person can survive financially by swimming every four years...for the prizes that adorn the Olympic winners... shoot, I could say that about a lot of the sports, outside of the golf and hoops... Finally got to see the Country Music Fest ...I think held in the Titans fb stadium there in Nashville...lots of present day singers in the show...no better than Carrie , who carries the torch for the entire pack...so says me.... Blake was excellent, too...you may have your own favs...disappointed with the direction ...
