Well, actually...cold is cold...32* or 0* ... there was a time in the 70's that the USA tried (in vain) to adopt what most of the world used ... the Metric System ... and right along with it, the Celsius way of telling temperatures...gone. ..this is the time that we were going to modernize so much...get into the world of tens...didn't go over...the people wanted the inch... the itch for the inch ...of course, the masses have no idea how to add, subtract, multiply, or divide the fractions...still don't...but doggone, it, 'we like our own system of measuring'...'and we would have to refigure our football fields, and that won't happen' ...so be it... It was cold last nite in Eugene...Autzen Stadium, where it again, never rains ...as the Ducks prevailed...they were the best team....dominated it ...in an odd way...as the Beavers took away the deep stuff... so, Nix and the O , played underneath...and whittled the OSU game plan away ...took time off the clock...

For many Oregonians, all over the map... THE football game of the season ...is the once called 'Civil War' between the Ducks and the Beavers ... to be fair, it is not war...that's a polar opposite of an euphemism for all the sports writers ...and fans, I suppose... it is a game, kids ...a good one, usually...depending on the weather, often... fuggit about point spreads, these teams are all equal once the guys hit the turf... Of course I pull for the Ducks ...and throughout the state, many pull for the Beavers...it's OK...bragging rights?...for sure...implications for tourney or bowl games in the future?...you bet.. .however, the good coaches emphasize the 'one at a time' theory...and this plays out on the field, and NOT in a room with people voting...this is a good thing... Hey...the one rumor that is not talked about much...is that the OSU HC, Jonathan Smith , is being highly touted ...as a possible, make that viable, candidate for one of the plum jobs in th...

Happy Thanksgiving kids ...I wrote a whole different blog...hated it...took it down...and sorry...I hope you all enjoy your day... Please, have in your thoughts today...the hostages that are being held in Gaza...imagine YOUR loved ones being the ones...not knowing if they are alive or not...sanity, please... Cherish your loved ones...while you can... It's not exactly fair what I did...I apologize...the gist of it, was to say how much the gatherings at Thanksgiving have changed...for whatever reasons...back when our both sets of parents were alive...we always had the day...it was expected...and slowly, as they left the here and now...this day, too, left...as we once knew it... It's great to have you all as readers...it makes my day so much brighter...that people are out there...

The T stands for temporary...as it is a 4 day Cease Fire ...I thought all along it would be 5... and the reason is for the hostages, albeit limited numbers, will be exchanged ... women and children...have not seen the actual amounts...but around 50, in a 3 for 1...is the compromise...so, about 150 Hamas going back to the Gaza. .. War is Hell ... Is ignorance bliss?... sometimes it seems so...as those who are not the brightest lights on the tree...always have smiles on their faces....and those who are very learned, have wrinkles on their foreheads...they know what's going on ...man, that is as bad as it gets... the stereo typing of people ...listen, we all have issues that concern us...also, we have things that make us smile...figure it out... But, as you know, I really am worried ( furrowed brow ) that the USA people don't read enough ...that the easy way out is taken... watch the pixels...if that...listen to talk radio...only...type cast what stations they do have...only ... e...

You know that when the day is just right...and your good amigos meet up from Orygun...for a GROOVY day of golf...them Gahrs, Barb and Cousin Larry...at my golfing venue...with the Boss, too ...it just had to be a wonderful day...it was...78* and little wind...(until after lunch)...near perfection...and to hear their terrific reviews of the Singing Hills Willow Course...it was, in fact, a day that we all were in the Rascals mood of 'Feelin Groovy' ... 'You know' ... my now gone good friend...the legendary Cliff Corn ...did a review of his own on one of my interviews on the radio, or TV, one of them ... stating that I was using 'you know' much too often...ah ha...my sign of stupidity ...and from that time on, you know, I ceased to use it...too much...I believe I stumbled, bumbled along...being very careful as to what I said...like it reverberated in my head...you know what I mean... Catch the damn ball ...saw too many NFL games that were lost cuz the bloody wide...

Hearing about the 'no hot water' thang, that the visitor had to endure after the game in the NFL...reminded me of the shenanigans that home teams pull off ...like watering the infield too much, when the visitor is known for their speed...heating up the locker room way too high...putting in real tight nets in the basket, for teams who run a lot...over watering football fields...c'mon, these are thangs that coaches do...stealing signs that went too far, ah, see Michigan... At one time, players just played the game...now 'showboating' is a norm ...making a basket and turning toward the opponent's bench...staring down the defender, after dunking...the list is endless...used to be an automatic technical foul...not now...especially if the offender is a 'star'... I'm telling you nothing that you don't know or see...the games have gotten pathetic ...in this regards...shoot, hoops is a joke...YMCA...which is great if you like that...I don't... Back w...

As the college football ends it's regular season, the teams that may get the votes from the BSBCS, are trying, some in vain, to finish it off on the right foot...er, left foot? ...this last year of the Final 4...next it changes...more teams are in it...ah, finally...it is what it is...for now... For us Duck fans, we play them as they come...ha ha...well, the guys do...and we cheer and hope...take care of yourself...right?...left?...c'mon...and boy, did the Ducks (6) do so in Arizona...State ... as Bo Nix threw for SIX TD'S in the FIRST HALF ...for some reason, I feared this game...as the Sun Devils just came off a big win versus UCLA...and a close encounter with Washington...the Ducks looked like a million bucks... The rest of those in contention, it's like choosing one out of a box of chocolates ...you never know what you are gonna get...
