Lots of talk as I was walking the dawg... there was a meteor shower...or something that happened ...North Korea?...aliens?...it lit up the sky down here in SoCal... lots of speculation of what it was...here is a pix of what the peops saw... Turns out...it was a satellite launch from V andenberg AF Base...carrying like 10 satellites up up and away ...hmmm, not sure why they (our guys) don't announce that they are gonna do this...why hide the fact thereof?...makes no sense to moi... Your bowl games ... Wyoming did a number on Central Michigan...yup, the QB played for the Cowboys...and man, did he ever get the accolades...the announcers, proclaimed him as the top dude in the draft... Josh Allen ...really?...looks raw to me...and a top 3 or 5 QB...but NOT the best one...however, I know nuttin... And you only thought that the Horse talked about sports ...you have but 2 options...get into your recipe books and find the perfect Date Nut Bread one...or, jaunt on down to the store, er bakery, and buy one...and CELEBRATE the day... slather it with real butter, some French raspberry preserves ...couple it with a white chocolate mocha...and there you go... When is a catch, not a catch? ...in the waning moments of the New England / Pitt NFL game...it appeared that the Steeler receiver caught the game winner. ..and stretched the ball over the TD line...prior to being in contact with a defender... TOUCHDOWN! ...wait a minute, maybe more like 4 or 5 minutes...the review center in NYC...well, somewhere back east...was addressing another issue... did the bloke have complete control of the ball as he hit the ground? ...by rule, he did not...in slow motion!...in real time, he did...boooo.... Hey, ya'll...it's a complex next set of days this week...in case you haven't heard... the Thomas Fire ...has been approaching the towns of Montecito and Santa Barbara ...ferocious winds...gusting in the 60 and 70 mph range...makes the fighting of it...the spreading of it...virtually impossible...to stop... Good news for this am... the winds have died down ...there...so, the 8,000 or so firefighters will unleash everything the have on the incredulous flames that have now become... the 3rd worst fire in the history of the state ...impossible to believe...and the threat of losing everything you have...beyond anyone's comprehension...
