OK, ok, ok, LeBron is now the real deal. He has got himself to the highest level as he now plays defense. His size, ability, youth, and on and on, make him the best, yes I said best, in the NBA now. Sorry Kobe, you are awesome, and play great defense...all the stuff, but King James is in fact...the king. The way the Cavs dismantled the Celts last night was just a tip of where this team can go. USD has got its guys back and they can play the game. Led by Tru Johnson the Toreros flattened the Dons of USF yesterday. Keep your eye on them for the rest of the season... It is so nice to be part of the emotion of a playoff team. The Bolts fans around here are crazy and the excitement makes a city a buzz and fun to be a part of. SDS hosts the Utah Utes today. 2 really good teams here...Utah is 10-5 and SDS is 11-3... The Gators have won it as OU failed miserably in the 1st half to score in the red zone. I am not sure the game produced the real champ. The system certainly is flawed and maybe someday this will be corrected. The vote will be interesting to say the least. Regardless, Florida coach Urban Meyer has the knack to finish things off, where OU's Coach Bob Stoop has a horrible record in bowl games...too bad it was such a poor game. So my pick is out there...too much speed and this should be a great game to watch. The Wolves have won 4 in a row with their 42 point shellacking of the THUNDER (Supersonics)...The Celts continue their downward slide...the Blazers upset the Pistons...NBA tough guessing during these times. LT continues his sad sack routine. Get over yourself and say that you'll do whatever it takes for the Bolts to move on. How he should be proud of the team when he is down...maybe he is but he sure hasn't said such a thing. And finally, Trevor Hoffman will announce his decision of where he is going today. It is down to Milwaukee and LADodgers. The Pads keep saying it's no go here 'cuz of the downsizing... OU 45-42...

And now the interest in Trevor Hoffman heats up. There has been a lot of talk from The Brewers...but the Dodgers appear to be ready to offer the most $. I don't think the Pads are going to go that way...until the ownership makes the change. And still I think they are through with him. It is definitely the dead time in the NBA schedule. It sure seems that Charles Barkley has a way of getting himself in odd predicaments. His latest for a possible DUI with an explanation of speeding for his female companion...well, it just goes to show he will say anything! He has tremendous ability as an analyst for the NBA broadcast, but he must temper his other stuff while on contract to them. As the week gets going for the Bolts the naysayers are gathering about already. Do not jump aboard their wagon. Momentum is on their side and they only need 2 td's to win...think about it.

Philip Rivers took the pages off of Peyton Manning's book by leading the Chargers to 2 huge drives to finish the Colts off. First, to end the regulation game, he marched SD down the field for a game tieing FG with some 30 seconds left. Then in OT, he led the team to the winning score by Darren Sproles...who had a marvelous game. As I said yesterday, the Bolts were going to win...Incidentally, both home team dogs won... And now it's off to either Tennesee or Pitt...there was dancing in the streets in the GQ!!!
