It's not a zip code...it's not an address...it's not a secret code...it's not a password...it's the score of a gals hoop team game...really... 161-2 ...high school...and the WINNING coach got suspended for it...says he didn't run the score up...ah ha... It's a thing that many states discourage...big time...and if you do it, you have to write a letter to the state association...of athletics...explaining why...it happened...and it some cases, well, it does...extreme mismatches... I had a junior high team that scored a zillion against an opponent...and the principal came and sat behind my bench...just to see what we were doing...the other team kept pressing us...and I rotated kids every 4 minutes...couldn't tell my guys not to score...I looked at the boss and shook my head...he said you're doing nothing wrong...so... Yes, it's a weird thing...kind of always found a way to not let it happen...pass the ball a lot...and it happens on all levels...

It's started back up... the best of the singing ventures ...I know, some of you like the Voice...with the banter of the judges...but..the talent there has always been 2nd rate...quick, name a winner...ever?...ever!...no...it's the 1st of the shows... American Idol that is the clear winner ...and there were some dang good auditions last eve... 2 big standouts ...one,  a youngster singing a Keith Urban song ...and gulp, maybe better than Keith does...and the banjo playing filly ...who is a legit contender to be a top 3 placer...of course, there is a loooong way to go...and tonight...the preview is one of the judges is to be Adam Lambert...a previous non-winner...too bad, as he was clearly the best that season...who knows how the votes go... Best of luck to the Duck's QB, Marcus Mariota ...who announced yesterday that he in fact is moving on to the NFL ...he should be one of the top 3 in his position to get picked...SD, start your trading engines...and get up to numbe...

We're number 2 ...ah yes, an old spanking from the school that we have yet to ever , and I repeat, EVER beat in football...now 0-9...hmmm... Ohio St ...where they live and breathe the sport of football...regularly get 100,000 folks to their house...and now... they are back in prominence... I'm being kind here...but of the 85,000 in attendance at AT &T Park, 2/3rds were them Buckeyes ...I couldn't hardly hear the cheers of the Ducks...really...not that that had anything to do with the outcome, but it did seem much like a home game for them... The stadium itself, for all it's notoriety, is a big joke ...passageways are tiny...the seating is straight up...and for a structure that is to house so many peops, it's a designers night mare ...built real close to the Texas Rangers baseball park... LET'S TALK COACHING ... Urban Meyer , is a near genius ...finds ways to get the most out of his guys...and had his lineman ready and willing...as I have said before...

Greetings all from the great state of Texas...I must say, the people here are as friendly as anywhere I've traveled...they may talk funny, but that's ok... Seems to me there is an equal amount of Buckeyes as Ducks...and the two are compatible...really... Outside of the game, the trip to Dealy Plaza was eerie and yet, awesome...we went to the museum, which is on the 6th floor of the famed School Book Depository...where the alleged killer, Lee Harvey Oswald, pulled the trigger that killed our beloved President JFK... We went down to the area of the motorcade...the spot where the Zapruder Film was taken...the Grassy Knoll...all of it...took pics from above and street level... The thing that got me the most?...the area is MUCH smaller than I imagined...which made me more incredulous that only one guy was doing the shooting...all this very memorable... The game is this eve...it will be an experience for sure...I see it as a tossup...here's the key...if the UO line hold...
