A little late tonight...but for my 1,000th blog , I'm going to talk about the futility of the political system we have right now...did you see the republicans debate last night?  Are we in the 50's all over again?  Remember kids, I WAS one of them...but am so disgusted with their policies and false beliefs that I had to switch...now, I am not a fan of any politician ...any of them...I don't trust 'em and don't respect 'em...but, it's our system, so we have to go with it...so on we go...whether it's the abortion issue, the freedom of marriage agenda, the christian only referendum, the secret society in the Tea Garbage ...it's all bad...how can you possibly believe in this stuff? One of my newer friends blasted the news of CNN ...with all the sensational tabloid stuff that fills the air wave...you know the LiLo affect...the Kardashian propaganda...the deplorable mess that some call news...I totally agree...now this is what it's all about>...

And now it's my 999th post ...go figure I'd stay with this this long...or, I'd have this amount to say...since I've begun, we have bought 3 properties in SD , and are firmly based here...miss my amigos and amigas back in Oregon ...but don't miss the winter weather...joined a golf club that is a beaut...pretty much got caught up in pro sports, especially the hapless Padres and the euphoric Chargers ...kept my allegiance to the Blazers ...learned to walk everywhere...miss the Fred Meyer chain and Dutch Bros ...love the amount of restaurants and bars but just a few blocks away...learned to live in a high rise...surprised how fast it is to get around here, to the airport in 5 minutes, to the beach in 10 minutes, to the mountains in 40 minutes...so vastly different than LA traffic... it's been a good move ... Speaking of big numbers... the Stock Market ... down over 500 again yesterday...I hear all the reasons why...but somebody is making big money off this....

Education, kids, education ...the bulk of the unrest in London has to do with the rioting kids...it's not a racial thing...the death of a "dark skinned kid" touched it off...but, here's the skinny...the reports have it as the NEET's ... not employed, educated, or in training ... Britain is thought of having this great educational system...fact is that 17% of their students drop out and flounder about...over 600,000 of them have never worked...thus...they then call out those who are...and say that the others are rich... voila , a series of unrest has developed... The Stock Market ...over 600 points down yesterday...most of it had to with the banking problems and credibility...yet, throughout the world, it seemed to affect every one else...look for a rebound today...at least, that's what I hope... Beisbol ... the Pads had this great streak broken...187 straight games they had won when leading in the 9th by 2 or more runs... Heath Bell , the closer, ...

Did you know 99% of the tennis, basketball, well, sneakers, are made overseas ... not in the USA?  That at one time, there were over 250,000 workers in the business right here in this country...now, there are but 15,000 ...there is... ONE ...brand still doing their business here... New Balance ...but, even they are wavering...there is only one plant left... in Maine ...let's look at the cost factor...simplified... the average wage here is about $10 hourly ...over in China or Vietnam (the new spots) it is about $1.50 ...but the US sticks a 20% import tariff on the shoes...no problem for them...they just tack more on to the cost of the product to you, the consumer...so when you go out to get your new shoes, take a look at the man (or woman) in the mirror...buy US ?   while you can... Ever once in a while, a gotcha moment happens...where a fired worker gets to turn the tables on the former boss...well... caddie Stevie Williams , who was Tiger's bag man for over 10 years...got the axe from the newly changed Woods ...as he was cleaning house to get a fresh start on his new life...OK, but the caddie?  Anyway, Steve (get the change?) Williams picked up the bag for a fellar named Adam Scott ...who just happens to be in the same tournament as Tiger ...so... Tiger is still struggling, and is 13 strokes back of the leader ...
