I just lurve college football ...nothing like game day...in this case, both SDSU and Oregon , have HUGE matches...each are home ones...the Aztecs have another test, versus the squad that beat Nebraska... Northern Illinois ...the Ducks?...extreme exam dealing with them Bears of Cal ...ah yes, and both the homers have a 12+ spread from the Vegas boyz...really?... Last night...I thought it was an upset..as the Cougs beat the media's dahlings, The USC Trojans ....listen to the WSU Coach, the irrepressible Mike Leach..."there are so many people running around here, it is like Woodstock, except they all have clothes on"...matter of factly embracing the W after the game...it was not a shock to him...that's the way they prepared for it...and...them Cougs invade Autzen next week...where, yup, the Horse will be, too... double invasion ...terrific planning...if the Ducks can beat Cal today, even sweeter... No matter how hard the NFL tries to squash what the real problem is ...decreased viewers, decreased attendees...and a player who has limited abilities who can't get a job... in the eyes of those who think it is racism ...the Prez statements still override it...these are missed steps... When there is 30...THIRTY!... NBA teams scattered throughout the country...and the elite players choose to band together in but 5 of them...the haves and the have nots is greater than ever before...go ahead and name the squads that have a chance against the Warriors, Cavs, Celts, Rockets, and the Thunder ...name me one...you have 25 that are destined for mediocrity, at best... The President's Cup ...man, is this a stretch nowadays...PGA style...in NYC...the US versus the World, well, without Europe...that is the world, right?...anyway, the Capt, ...

For THE country that is considered one of the, er, make that THE most desired one in the world ...we don't look like that right now, do we...embroiled in unbridled hatred ...what else would you call it?...there are those 'comedians' who feel the need to cross over the line ...and talk seriously...about the Prez...and most all of his actions...hmmm... Unity ...there appears to be that finally... against the Prez ...yup...his numbers have to be in the historic phase...right?...almost seems like the more he speaks or Tweets, the worse it gets. ..witness the debacle in professional sports...the term 'bullying pulpit' comes to mind...hold on there, Horse... There are those out there who find what he says to be right on...and justifiable. ..and feel the need to speaketh their minds, too...'Stand Up' is their cry...so...no, there is not unity...and...there are different issues muddled in the water, mighty dirty water, I must add... Where do we go from here...

I'm not sure how one can alienate more people than was done ...one man's version of Patriotism, can waver from another's...'honoring the flag'...'disrespecting the flag'...is that what this is all about?...started with a player, about a year ago...ticked at the treatment of black people in this country...so, he knelt during the singing of the National Anthem... As time went on, a few more chose to do the same...with the reasoning the same, too...of course, there are the protestors to the protestors...how dare they!...the originator, Colin Kaepernik , fell off the charts in finding an NFL team that would sign him on...there were those who thought that it was because of the kneeling...the owners may have been in collusion...maybe... And then the Prez gets into to it...with his remarks about the actions...of kneeling... 'SOB's' ...appears to be the trigger...a needless comment that makes this a bigger issue than anyone thought could happen.....

Reading the headlines, watching the video clips, and listening to the PEOPLE responding to PATRIOTISM ...or, is it that?...an issue of kneeling as the National Anthem is being played ...to some, i.e. the Prez, it smacks the country in the face...and there is no place for it... how dare you! ...to others, it is freedom of speech ...a form of rebellion, as they have felt slighted in their own country...and feel that they have the stage to demonstrate...does it not seem like it is a racial divide?... First of all, we need to all calm down ...listen to one another...and adjust accordingly... over reaction is not the solution ...but, is the actually the opposite of what the intent should be...to call out that 'all players who do so, should be fired' , or 'don't go to the games if they kneel' ...are simplistic ways of coping...and are non solutions... On the other hand...just try to rationalize any of this to a soldier, who has been fighting for the country......
