I am a huge fan of the NFL playoffs ...even though the bloody Bolts are not involved...any team, yup, any team can win it...well, outside of Seattle ...and you know I've already picked New England ...but the path is going to be rocky...just ask the teams that are strapping it on today...and I have an upset for you ...call me crazy (horse), but there are those out there that say only a return of Joe Willie could garner a V for the Jets. ...not so fast my friends... the Jets will win today...now, it's going to be nail biter, but...the defensive line of NY will eat up the soft Colt's O line...make Peyton throw too quickly and yes...somehow, LT will get a win... The other game has a laugher with New Orleans doing a massive crunch on your Seahawks ...I've tried to make a case for Seattle , and can't find a one...by the way, I am told that the NFL is using a different set of rules in an overtime situation.. .odd ... BSBCS ...seems like there is little banter ...

OK, the BSBCS championship is up for grabs....and all of us Ducks are sooooo excited.... ESPN had us pegged all along...I had my doubts losing our QB to, of all places, 'Ol Miss ...untested new guy taketh over...and coach Chip K shows why he is the most innovative in sport right now...changing a game that has been pretty much the same for the last 50 years... To the game...I go back just one year ago to the Rose Bowl ...where mighty Oregon got whupped by another big QB led team, Ohio St. ...the speed of the Ducks was pretty much neutralized by the power of the Buckeyes ...thus my fear of Wisconsin slipping into the Big Game...however, the Badgers got beat in their bowl game...and, maybe, just maybe...I over analyzed those boys... Get over to the East Coast lovers conference, the SEC ...and their rep, Auburn ...with their man-child QB Newton ...who turned down mucho dinero from another school, to attend for free in Alabama...something smell here?  I digress...it is wha...

Is it just me, or are the movies that are put out...just aren't very good...coupled with the high price of admission...the high salaries that these "stars" are making...well...it's kind of what I've been harping about the last 6 months or so...people are making too much money for what they are doing...there are exceptions, like Reese Witherspoon , who seem to have moved up the ladder of better flicks...but, how many more of the gosh awful things that... you fill in the rest ...have made...the list goes on...and somewhere, yup somewhere, somebody is watching these.... The Aztecs did get their W at TCU ...isn't it odd that there is such a huge differential of attendance at their FB games... SDS still undefeated and 6th in the nation... Hey, the nation's highways are sooooo old, the potholes that are out there are legendary...time for some allocation of funds for this...is there a lobbyist for the asphalt companies? Be true to your school...go Duck...

Without any doubt, the much heralded collegiate coach, Rich Rodriguez , gets fired at Michigan ...today...and that sets off a scurry of activity of the AD's as whomever gets that job, they have to find replacements...hot rumor is that it's going to be SDS's Brady Hoke ...and the Aztecs will have to hire someone..well, you get the drift... And is there a hotter commodity than USD's and Stanford's Jim Harbaugh?  So many rumors about the NFL...let's see...Oakland, Denver, Cleveland, all are open right now...and the Chargers should be... The Mountain West gets cranked up today...at TCU goes the Aztecs...should be another notch... People's Choice Awards...???? Enjoy the sun ...looks like a bike ride this afternoon...

Here me, college presidents ... PLAYOFFS ...the NFL begins theirs next week...and the mighty Chargers are not involved...so many ifs, ands, and buts...but...the difference is the lack of prep work for them by the head coach ...it's time for a change...I digress... My pick for the AFL (AFC) is the New England Patriots ...the other side is a total toss up...and yup, it is fun stuff... Does anyone follow collegiate hoops?  The SDS Aztecs are still undefeated and selling out their place every night... The hot name out there for each and every opening, both college and pro?  Stanford's Jim Harbaugh ...the Wolverines??? I have been writing about this for awhile now...the Lakers are in the dumps ...lost again last night to the former Jail-Blazer Zach Randolph led Memphis!  Yup, the lowly Grizzlies ... Kobe has lost a step, as has Fisher , and Artest has no clue to what's going on...that's 3 of the starters....free falling and I am loving it...on the other hand...g...
