Normally, you can say it is just a slow start...like the newly acquired first baseman of the LA Angels, Albert Pujols...who they bought for $150 million or like that...who has yet to bang a tater...but he will...BUT...we are talking the Padres...who have very little upside...or, is it downside...they have very little pitching, and they are injured...and they have very little pop in their bats...with a little hope in the injured Carlos Quentin in the wings...BUT...fact is they are off to the worst start in the 40 year history of the club...3-12...let's just say they turn it around...how? For this to happen, there has got to be somebody or somebodies that can consistently hit...there is no pattern of this to be with the group they have...they must play flawless defense...zero chance...as the middle infielders are old and error prone...the pitchers catch fire...nope, not a stud in the group...there is no chance of this team, as it is, to get back on the track of winning... Support...

This feller, this 49 year old feller, still can pitch in the big leagues...he who has played for like 8 different teams...and has been "retired" for the last 3 of them...can get the job done...albeit it was against the pitiful Padres...but it was a done deal... Jamie Moyer , plays for the Colorado Rockies...another team in need of pitching... What about this elder baseballer... married to Digger Phelp's daughter ...and they have 8 kids ...wooah...maybe one for each team he has pitched for...by all accounts is a real good guy...gives back to the community where ever he is at...is a lefty, which is crucial to longevity in the game... Mowed down the Padres yesterday and became the oldest player ever to win a game...and SD looked helpless in swatting at a 79 mph fastball...well, it's going to be a year like that for this Cali team...so, Jamie Moyer, Matt Kemp, Andre Ethier, and whom ever is next, enjoy you record setting season against the providers...the San Dieg...

Update ... I watched the replay of the "triple play" between the Dodgers and the Padres.  It was one of the greatest abominations in the history of the game.  The umpire called the play dead...then changed his mind.  Blasphemy....and those who know me well, know I would have gotten into that blokes head...turrible! Tim Tebow , what can I say?...he's the darling of the New York Jets...just wait...he won't start and the peops will be chanting for him...anyway...he's at the Yankee game yesterday with none other than Dwayne Wade ...and the jumbo tron focuses on him, er them, and the place erupts in to boooooooooo...ha ha...the fickle life of a NY fan... What more can I say about them Padres ...figures to be a barn burner in the 3rd game of the LA series...tied in the 9th...get the 1st two guys on...and our "best" hitter at the plate...squares around to bunt them blokes over...ball comes right at him...he is defending himself from the ball and someho...

The dreaded Afghanistan region ...just why are we there?...as the Taliban has launched their new strikes on key parts of that country today...to me it's like treading water in the ocean...eventually the sharks are going to circle and strike...I am very curious to the reaction that our military takes up now...lose, lose, lose... Speaking of that, the Padres did more of the same in LA...trotted out a new buck to face the Dodgers...and he gave up 3 dingers in a couple of innings, ie 2 to Matt Kemp, who now has 6, count 'em 6, against the Pads guys in just 2 series...oh yea, and SD had 2 singles for the game, and LOSE, 6-1...albeit, no reported errors...except the ancient SS Bartlett, muffed a one hopper by Kemp...which was graciously ruled a hit by the keeper....and the 2B Hudson?....batting .050....what about catcher Hundley?...still ofer and .000...hard to get wins with them blokes in your lineup...boooooooo....
