Did you catch Carrie on the Jimmie Fallon Show the other night?...great skit and of course, she was dynamite singing "Blown Away"...he has improved and will be the right guy to take over the Tonight Show...trust me on this...

All eyes will be at noon with the Beavs/Stanford game...well, my eyes are on it...it will be low scoring and a physical one...17-10, so says me...OSU...

Cold, windy, and showers...perfect combo for me not to golf this am...already cancelled...it's hard to believe how quickly I have adapted to better weather...in Keizer, I would have been out there...bundled up, with my heater cranked up in my golf cart...those days are over...

Got some bad news for you Portland Trailblazer fans...you are trending down...CH has seen PDX play three times and have these insights...you will be turrible if Aldridge doesn't get around the basket...and he is floating further away from the hoop than ever before...as good as the new PG Lillard is offensively, he's as bad defensively...if he releases his man inside, you have LA there...or sort of...not a good match...the Clips PG's went crazy and the Blazers had no answer...correctable?...you bet...but now, not later...

What a bloody joke the X Factor is...it's like the 1st time for the hosts and the script...there is little that is there...+, the "talent" is a farce...turn away, it is hideous...

Somehow, some brilliant repubs, have  equated the down day in the stocks to the election of the Prez...has nothing to do with the European plummet of their stocks...which, in fact, is a bewilderment to me, in itself...

The Padre's catcher...Yasmani Grandal...the Cuban sensation...who had a huge 2nd half of the season...caught with the testoserone stuff in his system and is banished for 50 games next season...what?...c'mon kids...you must be smarter than that...oh no, that means that former C Nick Huntley is back in the reins...let's just hope, that's all the bad news from the Pads...

4 More Years

In a very close race, Prez O, won the presidency for four more years...and, I am going to tell you, Mitt's concession speech was wonderful...I am serious, I could have lived with him as the boss...not my choice, but could have done it...there is such a great allegiance to both sides of the parties...it's cool, it's all about checks and balances...the 1st important item?...finding a worthy replacement for Hillary as Secretary of State...as she did a marvelous job...2nd most difficult position in our government...

Do you tweet?...it gives you an instant insight to what's going on throughout this land...of course, it depends on whom you decide to follow...I have like almost 400 tweeters on my list...and included in that, a number of news and sports services...try it out...

Have you heard of any hanging chads?...just a bunch of long lines...and this...I think all polls should close at the same time...but, not sure the rest of the country feels the same way...does it influence the west coast voters?...or, can it?...

If the inference of the novel "The Panther" that it is way too easy to go in and out of this country from the likes of Yemen...then why don't we do something about it?...if it is true...by the way, just a wonderful read...

Election Day

Finally, FINALLY!, it is here...Election Day...the country will decide who is their leader for the next 4 years...that is, if there is enough electorates in the Electoral College...just may have to go to the House of Reps, otherwise...and there will be tales of voter fraud, hanging chads, voter intimidation, and on and on...by the loser(s)...yup, this is big business...with billions of $ spent to get their candy man elected...it's not a perfect system, but I haven't heard of a better one...so...

you may find this hard to believe...but, I am OK with either guy...don't get me wrong, my vote is for Obama...but, Mitt is a decent man...and if the country says it should be him, so be it...don't think it will...so, dust off the TV screen and embed yourself...we, by our new tradition, will head down to the Gaslamp Strip Club ( for you not in the know, its a grill your own NY steak eatery) for a meal and drinks, just like we did 4 years ago...

Creeping Closer

No, I am not saying that the creep is getting closer...

I AM SAYING that the Ducks are closing in on Alabama...it's like watching a great fast break basketball game (remember when?)...as Oregon and USC, playing up to ability (finally), had a wonderous shoot out...62-51...UO...and oddly, and in true Vegas style, the Trojans scored their final score with one second left...remember, the line was 8...ha ha...

We were finished with our tourney at 2ish, so we had enough time to check in to the hotel (?) and get to the bar for the game...Brawley had very cheap beer, 24 ozs. for $3...you can imagine how I was...and the other blokes were for USC...a super fun game to watch...am not so disappointed at the defense as others...they were there, but just didn't wrap...

Del Rio GC...Brawley...out of bounds all over the place...even one in the interior of the course...and greens that were sllllooooowwww...yet, consistent...every one of them were the same...I think our team had a chance to cash...won't know until later this week...and there is no way that I would ever, ever, happen on to that town...ever...an hour away from Indio...

Euphoria for the Aztecs...they beat Boise St (state?), in Boise...I mean, the SDSU peops are on cloud nine...and now host the entire Air Force this weekend...by the way, the highly anticipated hoop team, plays on the Midway Carrier this Friday against the zone happy Syracuse Orange...so, big weekend for SDSU...

And tomorrow is the end to such a glorious election campaign...am so glad it will be over...if there is one more negative ad...much worse on the local level...most every poll has it a tossup...get out and vote, if you haven't done so early...
