Morning kids ...let's just say that you are not up and I am...I have an early flight up to...the Great Pacific Northwest! ...it's an impromptu journey up there to take in the Nebraska / Oregon game... thanks to my buddy, Snooki... So, I have to get myself going early... board at 5:50 ...what?...it taketh me a bit to unwind in the am...I have a checklist I use for all my journeys...I believe I am ready... Short notes ... The Pads avoided a sweep by winning game 4 versus the Cards...Clay Richards was the starter...a shutout W...go figure...and Wil Myers had a crucial 2 run dinger...his first in about a month...must have had a full moon out...wait, there was...that's it!... So much for the Pats going undefeated this season...as the KC Chiefs went into Foxboro and beat 'em...2nd half pressure on Brady the key...hmmm....are you thinking what I am thinking?... Irma has weakened ...not much...and we all hope it makes a move up the Atlantic Seaboard...and back o...

Florida and the rest of the eastern shoreline... is now in the path of Irma ...this massive storm has no limits... evacuations are ordered. ..and as one of my former players, CC, has said... 'we can rebuild' , and they got out of harms way...they live in  Tampa... 'but we, must be safe '...so true of words, and I hope that others do the same...it is said to hit...as early as Friday... The Prez Cup members for the US...now set...and the Capt Stricker did what he should have...picked Lefty...and the SD Native, Chas Hoffman ...as his xtra dudes on his team...both fine choices... Out at the club yesterday...they had a T for us...prior to a quarterly dindin...which I never go to...5 hrs is enough to be out there...anyway, the game was a points for your score...and the worst one could do on any one hole...is a zero...I was turrible...and had a gaggle of 'em...early on...just call me Dr Zero ...I salvaged a normal (for me) back 9 and was not totally embarrassing....

These extreme warm waters in the Atlantic and the Gulf...provide fuel for these hurricanes...is this a byproduct of 'global warming?'. ..or just a natural way that this Earth works?...or indeed, are we ourselves, the cause of them?... As this storm, named Irma , propels toward land...it is the scariest thing we have seen for decades...there is no way to compare the onslaught of 185 mph winds ...no way...it will destroy most of what man has built...and for sure, the nature, in it's path...I saw a video clip of a touch down of it on one of the Caribbean Islands...like a movie production...that is animated...that bad... We can only hope that somehow...it loses some strength on its journey... unfortunately, I fear the result will be simply terrifying... Other stuff...much less of importance... Ezekiel Elliott ...you following this?...the star RB of the Dallas Cowboys...the NFL suspended him for 6 games for personal conduct unbecoming a, well you know...blah blah bl...

The Atlantic has rustled up, yet another storm...the weather peops say as great as a Category 5! ...as it passes thru the Caribbean...the path?...the great fear is that it will hit southern Florida...I dunno, I looked at the model...and it appears to moi that it is going straight between Cuba and the USA ...and ON TO THE GULF!...hang on, if it gets there... This is the 2nd biggie of the season , even though it's named Irma ...which means this is really number 9...really ...it's been almost a decade since we have had big ones hit the US land...what is this global warming crap, anyway?...the Repubs told us that is all hogwash...hmmm, what is hogwash?... In that never ending battle for the PGA's champ ...whatever it's called...they are in a 4 tourney elimination thinger...round 2 went to the dude who deserves the honor... Justin Thomas ...the people's choice, Jordan Spieth...came in 2nd again ...this one was in the Boston area...oh well, it's good TV... ...

Morning kids...this is just one of them quickees... Happy Labor Day! ...used to be...the last day off, until school started up...hmmm...not around here...as many of 'em have been in session for a week or two...anyhoo...have an early tee time...so... The UCLA comeback win over Texas A&M. ..wowser...tremendous orchestration by the highly heralded QB Rosen...however...let's be frank...that was coupled with just an odious use of the clock by the Aggies...I'll never get this...how so many of the 'brilliant minded' defensive coaches...will sit back in a prevent D and get carved up...A&M, in a nutshell...just can't imagine how that dude keeps his job... The Pads won again on Sunday over the Bums, that's 3 of 4 ...and LaLa is reeling...the Horse has given you the reasons...before... Terrific win by the Solheim Cup gal , Stacy Lewis , up in PDX on the LPGA Tour...who vowed to give her winnings to the help in Houston...amazing feat and generosity......

Aztecs win! ...OK, let's say that the crazy heat was the victor ...up and down the west coast, we are going thru this unaccountable extreme HOT weather....can't tell ya how fast I chugged me first beer...the tram was slow arriving...but when it got there...it had AC!...it was then forgiven for it's tardiness... Finding the tailgate was another issue ...Qualcomm (or whatever it is now) has a humongous parking lot...remember Chargers?...we assumed they were in F2...but only knew our friends, Ben and Joanne ...so, a needle in a haystack was appropriate...found 'em and had a jolly good time...but, it was HOT! ...I said that before, right?... The game ... San Diego St looked awesome for it's opener...they have a decent D, pretty good wide outs...a better than average QB, a terrific pair of RB's...and a MONSTROUS offensive line ...like pro size...methodically whupped UC Davis...and there is promise on the horizon...some key matchups in ASU and Stanford...to se...
