The headline for today, is how the US retaliated for the drone attack ...coming from? ...well, that is what is unclear...at least to the public...killing 3 soldiers and wounding more than 40... Prez B promised a return of fire...the countless news sources said it was from an Iran backed group...listen, kids, that could be a number of possibles...you know them...the Hezbollah or the Houthis, for probables...thing is, as I have said repeatedly, the entire area is combustible... Yesterday, was the mission...85 pointed strikes in Iraq and Syria...EIGHTY FIVE? ...how many camps are out there that we have to address?... the report is that there are 16 dead and 25 wounded, this according to Al Jazeera ...of course, Iraq and Syria, promise retaliation...here we go...it was just a matter of time...despite the overture of the radical right, we had no strikes in Iran... OK, at the home front...we continued on with the Spielberg/Hanks series 'Masters of the Air' ...wooah, it does put you ...

Reading the novel 'Gray Mountain' by John Grisham ... saddened my mind about the mining of coal...how destructive it can be, to the most beautiful mountains of, in this case, the Appalachians ...I had heard of it, but have never looked into the process...from afar, like way over here on the west coast, the tales seemed...just that...tales...how very poor the people were in the area... I heard of 'black lung' , but had no idea what it was, how it came about, and how deadly...it is ...the music that came from the 'Holler'... read a bit about 'strip mining' ...how it leveled the 3,000 ft mountains...how it made barren, the trees that grew on these mountains ...and on and on... perhaps, the most tragic, is how this whole process in the end... KILLS it's workers ...the environment... Peaking my interest was the guy from West Virginia... Senator Joe Manchin ...what was his story?...from the Appalachians...hmmm...one rich dude, now...well, hmmm... back in ...

Sounds exotic, right?... Johnny, I said we were through, just to see what you would do....you stood there and hung your head, made me wish that I were dead ...yes, this Johnny got the heave ho just like that...there are ot...

The Sooper Bowl is set...ah, in Vegas, baby ...like where else?...the combatants?...here we go...in the 1st semi, the Chiefs completely dominated the Ravens ...their preparation was spot on...quick hits and terrific blocking...and KC and Taylor, stamp their ticket to Sin City...and in the 2nd game... woah to be a faithful Lion fan...as the bonehead calls of the coach, probably cost them a shot in the final ...were they the better team?...yes...but, the steadiness of the 49ers prevailed...4th down go fers, in lieu of chip shot 3 pointers...and did not get the 1st down...in essence, turnovers...anyhoo...it is the Kansas City Chiefs vs the San Francisco 49ers ...the Horse early line is 5 favoring Taylor and her squad... A drone strike on the US in Jordan...Prez B vows retaliation ...as I have said so often, that whole area is combustible...another example of...who knows where this leads...but, the MAGA Senator Lindsey Graham, is calling for strikes into Iran...perhaps, a bit off his ro...

As you can see, I did not make the trip to LA for the golf tourney...am still weak, and have me doubts about the 2 hour trip there, play golf, and then, the 2 hour trek...back ...judging that by our little jaunt to the super, yesterday,  to get groceries...I was sweating and outta gas...me tummy still is rumbling...some type of virus got me....weird...sorry, Dr Cris...just couldn't do it... The upside is that I get to watch the NFL semis...man, you can make a case for all 4 to win ...stuck my neck out a bit back and said that the Ravens are the team to beat...period... BUT, I am pulling for the Chiefs and Taylor...the scribes have upped the PS to 7 1/2 on the Niners...BUT, I am pulling for the Lions ...thus, both visitors, which is not a smart thing...but, I don't bet...so, I can just root root for the...visitors... The Farmer's Insurance T out at Torrey Pines ...with their Saturday finish...me, bedridden, watched the final round...and dang it all... came down to a Frenchma...
