No, not the NFL type...but the real thing...apparently a foo tripped the circuit that cut the power to ALL OF THE SOUTHERN CALI area...ie NW Mexico...well, thus I missed the Thursday football games...and apparently, the NFL one was a doozy...and as I told you, Oklahoma St. is a power house in the collegiate ranks.... You know me by now, I watch the betting lines closely...and some really stick out as odd...what do they know?  Two home team dogs, that should be winners...Auburn and Kansas...???...Duke only getting 20?  TCU only giving 1 1/2 to Air Force...Texas only giving 7 to BYU...and Tennessee only by 5 over Cincy....take a look at these...somebody knows something... Is this a broken record?  The Pads lose again, easily...they whiff 13 times... I have to replace my laptop battery, so I'm off to the Apple Store...maybe get the new Lion installed to boot...

So who's your pick to win it all?  I'm talking the NFL...just a month or so back, it didn't even look like there would be a season...it's too big here in the US of A...and now you get to pop off and bet...somewhere...in many states they have lotteries...some only have local bookies...or if you are like me I wallow in fantasy football leagues...for the right to say, I am the leader...and, forget to actually root for a particular team, but for my FF players...well...not so fast here in SD...it's all Bolts...Bolts this, Bolts that, Bolts everywhere... With the probable year shelving of Peyton Manning, it will eliminate the Colts...sorry, but any QB they put in there can't even come close to him...and the Pats seem to have reloaded...the Jets have been saying it's their year...those are the popular choices...at least in the AFC...Chargers?  Maybe...a lot depends on the RB combo and the durability of the D...my guess?  Right in the hunt...and will weather their ...

And furthermore... the line on the games this weekend ...just to give you an idea about what we are dealing with... Nevada at Oregon ...steady at 26 1/2 ...what?  The Ducks are at home and the prognosticators have them in a blow out mode...I don't think so...it will be MUCH CLOSER.... Oregon St. at Wisconsin ... 21 1/2 ...wow...and there was optimism in Corvallis...the rumor is that they are going with 2 QB's...nope, it's a recipe for disaster...the Badgers are REAL GOOD... Arizona at Oklahoma St ... 14 for the Cowboys...it'll be more...mucho mas...in fact, my sleeper team of the year... SDSU at Army ...curious point spread...only at 9 1/2 ...I have it more like 16...the Aztecs are better than you think... Notre Dame at Michigan ...the Irish are favored by 3 1/2 ...take the points and run...all the way to the bank...the Wolverines are on the rebound, ND going the other way... And then there are the typical money making mis-matches ... Stanford/Duke , Nebrask...

Hey, I just don't know what to think ...the stock market takes another hit...and the economy just continues on with no apparent change...sure, I can see how the Republicans feel that they have a chance in the next go around...as I have said all along...bring up a viable choice for all of us to ponder...thus far...naw...and as always, I'm open...surprised you, huh... The polls are out and the Ducks slide to 13...they have to rebound and get 'er done against the Wolf Pack...the line is 20...hey, Nevada is just not that bad...will be much closer...on the other hand...the Bevos head into Wisconsin...really a good Badger team...big, strong, and talented...hang in there OSU fans...weather this one and you"ll be just fine...but...and the mighty Aztecs travel across the country to play Army...the 2nd straight triple option opponent...gad zooks...what's the weather gonna be? Wooah...what in the world?  For all the creative juices that people heap on Coach Chip Kelly ...it appeared to be not so...in fact, the Duck offense seemed to be in the early stages of it...the QB keeper was not used and limited a key part in the attack...OK, I'm talking the Oregon / LSU stunner ...kudos go to the speedy and bigger Bengal Tigers ...who pretty much shut down any outside stuff and earned the V ... And now to the next thinger...two big losses for the Ducks on center stage that will knock out any credence to them in the horrible BCS system ...sorry, but it's true...so... Oregon must regroup and get after the rest of the season...geez, 4 fumbles will pretty much do it... fumbleroosky was a play, not a series of 'em...disappointing start... The Pac 12 ...well... not so good ...let's look at it...down this way 1st... USC hangs on and barely, and I mean barely, beat Minnesota... UCLA gets knocked off by Houston 38-34 in Texas...
