So we are all OK now... the kids made it here ...brutal drive thru the rain and wind...mostly thru the upper half of the trip...from Santa Barbara down to Orange County...the rest of the way, was just high wind...odd weather... I recall many times that we have been laying (lying?) on the beach during the Holidays ...not this one... Get this...I made an online Xmas order ...guaranteed to be here, by at least today...from Macy's ...and late last nite...I got an email, that said.. .'unfortunately, the order can't be completed' ...as the item I purchased was 'discontinued' ...what?...it went on, 'relax, as you will not be charged for the order' ...oh my...Merry Christmas...I responded with a little curt 3 worder ...you pick the words...so much for the safe Macy's way... Hey hey, I think you just got your EARLY Xmas present ...maybe not what you wanted...I reckon...but, yes, in fact, the Electoral College met and did their thang ...and, despite the Jill Stein road block...and the countless emails sent to the delegates by the DNC...the system prevailed...and Donald J Trump is your (our) next Prez of the USA... CNN or one of them stations interviewed an electorate...a first timer...and he said that he got 90,000 emails on why and how he should change his vote...is it just me, or has the web net grown too fast to keep up with the screening of what gets on and thru it?... The layers of our voting system is extraordinary...think about it...for the primaries...there is individual voting in person...at a booth...there are caucuses that one goes to, to get persuaded to vote for whomever...there are mail in ballots...there are absentee ballots...and then...whoever wins...may get all the delegates, or a percent of the votes cast...varies by state...whew.....

Lite...please...not sure if you are one of them Starbuck junkies like me or not...but a great way to start your last minute shopping days, is to get YOUR preferable tall non fat white chocolate mocha...no whip ...ha ha...if you do go for the whip...I have to admit the taste is sensational, make that sinsational...hey, it's the Monday of the most festive week of the year... For sure it is for Donald Trump ...as he will formally get the Prez nod today ...as the Electoral College meets and does their thing...yes, there are the Jill Steins out there, that hope that some of the electorates do the unthinkable, and change their vote, squashing the correct process that this country uses...won't happen, kids...he is the chosen one...and that's it...you know this... Well, we didn't last too long at the Pinnacle Xmas Party ...it was fine...totally different approach by the organizers...catered and a new (to us) band...food was great...plenty of it...as was the vino...just enough is enough for us...ended back up in our pad, listening to Christmas Music...aren't we boring?... The golf T went decently...my pardner, Gary, and I...ham and egged it...ha ha...took turns at hitting good shots...escape artists at times...fun stuff...and I...the Horse, actually putted well....kind of cool...I thought I could make any of them...didn't...of course, but my mind said yes...funny game...we tied for 2nd with our playing buddies...who actually outplayed us...the putting, kids, the putting...the great neutralizer...
