We're all boarding, except...

So the team is about to get on the airliner to go to their next city to play another day after day game. Well, everybody but you coach, "You are fired!". So is the life of PJ Carlesimo of the turrible Thunder (Supersonics). He is spared the agony of guiding the worst ensemble in the history of the NBA. Down but not out, PJ will be picked up as a great assistant soon. Serves you right Oklahoma City. Good luck with the rest of the season. The Blazers continue to win on the road. Unlike many teams in the league, Portland plays hard every night. They are rising out of the fog. Zach (Jailblazer member) Randolph was traded again, this time to the Clippers. They said it was a cap move. No. Zach does not fit in an uptempo style being taught to the Knicks. And if it weren't for the turrible Thunder (Supersonics) the Clippers would be the worst team in the league. How many days left does Mike Dunleavy have? We're all boarding...oops not you coach... The Beavs at A...

$ and the NFL

The major change in the betting on the NFL has to do with the internet. There are over 200 different internet websites that one can bet on the NFL games. Granted there are many people who bet in the casinos around the US but the net has added a major bundle of cash to the total overlay. But who? There is no documentation on this. Where is it coming from? Just try to find an answer to that question. Talk about mailing in a game...The Pistons laid a big egg at Boston. Boy would I be ticked if I forked over big bucks to watch that one in person. Big collegiate games tomorrow...

The Pix

The Blazers looked like a playoff caliber team in the whupping of the turrible Bulls. The Thunder (Sonics) are turrible. And now the pix: 1. Oklahoma over TT, big score and loads of fun 2. OSU over Arizona, even though Vegas has the opposite 3. UNLV over SDS, duh...but it usually has been the other way 4. Ohio St. over Michigan, get a life! 5. Utah over BYU, thriller in the snow 6. LSU over Mississippi, closer than you think 7. Hawaii over Idaho, only cuz I wish I was there 8. Chargers over the Colts, 39-38 9. Pitt over Cincy, Ocho Cinco no mas 10. Broncos over the Raiders, in the snow and the Bolts can't catch them Tomorrow...who is betting $100 million on one NFL game?

Still in the fog...

It is not raining! But it is cold and foggy which I much prefer to the rain in the great northwest. Huge D-1 football games this weekend. Oky / TT , Ariz/ OSU , UNLV / SDS ...what? Mich and Ohio St. used to be a biggee , not this time. A playoff would be a welcome relief to this bogus thing of bowl selection crap. Already the 1/2 hearted approach to the NBA games have set in. Just watch most of the games now, and you will find these way too high priced players go through the motion, until the 4 th quarter of their respective frays. When you play 4 games in 5 days it happens. The Bolts are officially in a must win situation with their hosting of the Colts this Sunday. They will put pressure on Peyton and make him adjust...but he can. The Colts D is just about as bad as it gets and this game should be in the high 30's each. LT must have a good one for SD to get this win. Where's the sun?

NFL...Vegas Style

So the aftermath of the Charger/Steeler game goes on with this Vegas type of result to the non-td call. If the Steelers would have had their td allowed, they would have covered the 4 pt. spread, and those bettors would have garnered $32 million. It was mysteriously not counted and $64 million was not paid out of the $100 million bet on the game. Still think there is no tinkering going on? Have you seen the replay? Just another thing to ponder...Pitt had 115 yds. of penalties, SD had 5! Hey, go back to the Ed Hochali call at the beginning of the season that mysteriously cost the Bolts a game...What's going on? Shaq was fined $25,000 for not leaving the floor in a timely fashion after his brutal flagrant foul the other night. He was not suspended. BS as far as I am concerned. Fine and suspension in order. There is no place in the hoop world for the brutality that he laid on the Piston. As I said yesterday...look at the replay. D-1 football has to keep the almighty dollar ...

Monday in the Fog

No, not my brain. The new look Charger defense was mighty impressive in the snow at Pitt. The offense had their problems and the Steelers prevailed...as Hoffman blew another save 11-10. Interesting finish to the game as Pitt picked up a fumble for a game ending td, that was reviewed, and not allowed. After the game was long over the officials said the td should have counted. The line on the game was 3....I'm just saying... My upset of the year came down to a Bengal missed fg in ot...ended in a tie! So close. Shaq was ejected for a flagrant foul last night vs. the Pistons. A brutal hit that will cost him thousands and an extended suspension I hope. See the replays and you'll see what I mean. I don't care where you hide the Thunder(Supersonics) they are still turrible. Back to SD. They need a power back and by not signing Turner(now the star of the Falcons) it has cost them dearly. It fogged here all day yesterday in the northwest. The golf was great though.

Football in the Northwest

Wow! Orygun and the Beavs hung on for crucial victories yesterday in the great northwest. OSU remained the team to beat to get to the Big Daddy. But...they play at Arizona and then the civil war game vs. Orygun. Not an easy road, but what the heck if you are the best you got to earn it. The Dux are idle until that civil war game. ND easily disposed of Navy and Charlie's job is secure(?) for another year. Texas Tech and Oklahoma next week in my battle of the 2 best teams in the land... CH poll: 1. Texas Tech 2. Oklahoma 3. Florida 4. USC 5. Texas 6. Alabama The Blazers won at Minnnniesota last night and Roy and Oden were the leaders. Watch out NBA they are WINNING ON THE ROAD! The NFL. Pretenders or Contenders for the Chargers today at Pitt. Has the PGA quit playing after Tiger went under the knife or what? Jake went nowhere! Well not yet. Mark my words on this. IF HE GOES, it's to the Yanks, Bosox, or Mets. Khalil sighs a big relief on the fallout of the Brave's deal. And y...
