CRAZY HORSE

It is June, and thus it seems to always roll around about this time... SHARKS! ... west coast, east coast, Mexico, Hawaii , and gosh, wherever there is BAIT for them to eat, er nibble on...is it just me, or are these dudes getting closer and closer to shore?... news out of Florida that there have been attacks and well, go up to New England, there have been great white sightings...I do know, that when we were in Maui, we looked at the beautiful Pacific...waded in it, but did not linger...just the other day, great whites were spotted off the coast of Santa Barbara....egads...if we are indeed, in the water, my rule is to swim in the middle of all the peops...never at dusk or daylight...not sure these things see that well... Got my 1st real haircut in 16 months the other day ...as she said... 'you are a new man' ...well, without hair...asked for a 'shortened jobbie'...of course, got the military cut...and, between the LAST time and now...it was $13 dollars, now it is $17 ...

Oh my, just when you think you have seen it all... the mighty (?) Padres...of San Diego ...back home...capacity crowd for the 1st time in 16 months...hosting the 'Red' hot Cincinnati Redlegs ...winners of 6 straight...it's like, the Friars can't catch any breaks...outside of the DBacks, now losers of 23 consecutive road losses...SD has been miserable...winners of but 4 of the past 17... The game was a pitcher's duel...in fact, the Pads were hitless in the 6th...in a nil-nil game...0-0...nada a nada...nuttin to nuttin...zero to zero...then Jr, connected on another dinger ...he is himself, 'red' hot...his 22nd and is now leading the NL in HR's...tack on another solo shot by Manny ...and going into the 9th, we are up 2-0 and cruising...time for the closer to arrive and wrap this baby up... However, he doesn't have his good stuff...and Cincy erupts for 4 and their bench goes ballistic! ...thinking that they have pulled off yet another miracle win...th...

The mighty (?) Padres are back in San Diego. ..after a brutal road trip, just one win, and FIVE losses...in a dismal slide, only winning 4 of the last 17 chances...really bad hitting, and now, very below average pitching...questionable management, and the same when it comes to on field managing the game...just an awful stretch of games...perhaps, with a sold out crowd, the energy will re-emerge...as they say always in the pro sports world 'There's nothing like home cooking!' ...we shall see... For all of the splash I threw around, the Horse watched BOTH NBA games last eve ...seriously, terrible hoops...but, exciting?...I guess...missile launching at it's best...the 1st game... the 76ers blew a huge lead...with some brick laying in the final 14 minutes of the match up...how a guy like Ben Simmons can't shoot beyond 4 feet is amazing to me...why is he playing?...Trae Young orchestrated the comeback for the Hawks ...good on him and them... The 2nd game...was downright...

The news that we could ditch our masks, if fully vaccinated , was terrific MUSIC TO MY EARS! ...that started yesterday...however, when we went into Von's for our food shopping, it was not the norm...signs everywhere, to wear masks...so, reluctantly, we put ours on...when checking out, asked the cashier when the masks signs would come down...she said that they were not to enforce it anymore...hmmm... Here at the home, the board delivered the great news, that masks were indeed, not necessary anymore....IF you are fully vaccinated ...so, as we passed thru the lobby, taking the dawg out for her walk...we had our faces free...kind of felt guilty of something...man, it is so much easier to breath...without the bloody mask.... The listless Padres ...have now lost 12 of the last 16 games ...mired in a horrific slump...it is a loooong season, but c'mon boys, time to crank it back up...don't think the excuses are there...just not producing...ah, earn your pay, dudes... Today is the day that the state of Cali gets the decree that we have all been waiting for...back to normal. ..what?... June 15 ... throw away the mask! ...did you hear that?...gosh, sounds so wonderful...but NO!...there are still times that it is needed...so, the inevitable 'BONFIRE' of mask burning, has to be put on hold...even in our condo building, it may be still needed...you confused?...right, so am I... Out at the golf course in Singing Hills...the mask is gone ...freedom has rung out...however, I am avoiding the issue... What % of the peops have had their inoculations of the Covid 19 vaccinations? ...I guess 'they' are saying enough of them...try this on for size, everyone WE KNOW has had their shots ... We shall wait for whatever comes down... Breaking news out of ...well, more crap that trump tried to do ...to sway the lost election...there have been emails recovered that show he and his cronies were using the Fed Judicial System to get the vote overturn...

Hey, kids... we are back home ...as I alluded to, it was a treat to go to Vegas ...but, also an eye opener...more than anything, was the fact that we need to have someone come stay with Sammi ...seriously, when we picked her up, she cried for 20-30 minutes ...will not do that again...the trip, was personally fun for us... the Mirage , was great ...however, we have never seen so many people in the city...!!!...everywhere...if you are going, you will have to adjust for that...and, the heat, my Gawd, the heat!...108* as we left...and to get up to 117* the rest of the week...ah, right...as you hit the pool, with thousands of your best friends... The last thing that registered in my brain...was the flight home ...it said the aircraft was the Boeing 737 Max ...wait, wasn't that the one that was grounded for over a year or two?...YUP! ...saw this, but did not tell Marsh...until we landed...the air turbulence out of Vegas was real rocky kids...the heat thang, again...but, a 45 minute flig...
