The VOTING Has Begun

The very first MAIL IN BALLOTS have gone out...the initial state to start it up?...North Carolina...hmmm, why shall we have any presidential debates?...let's get it on...we know the candidates...we KNOW where they stand on all issues...have to admit, I'd love to watch Kamala and Michael...but, Biden and Trump?...I have seen enough...I believe that we all have our minds made up on who we will give our mark to...BUT, as I will say often from now til November 3rd...VOTE!...assume nothing...

Wooah, the unexpected happened at the Bubble...the Beard and his Rockets, soared over the LaLa Lake Show...no match...the spread O, that Houston runs...if on, can cause pandemonium to taller teams...that are forced to chase the Rockets...they can't keep up...very interesting...

The mighty Padres left Anaheim and took their bats with them to Oakland...won game 1 against the A's convincingly...7-0...Jr and Manny homered...Davies (now 6-2) was tuff...tuff...gosh, I wish that Petco was open to fans...well, if there was no pandemic...it would be rocking!...

First Friday

This month, has a feel...like heat!...warmth...maybe too much of it...ha ha...up and down the west coast, this Labor Day weekend, the temperature is going to swelter...perhaps, triple digits in some areas...prepare for it, as it is coming...

Alas, due to the pandemic and all...this weekend does feature something that has not been in this spot before...the Kentucky Derby...THE horse race of the year...much like THE Masters, in golf...of course, it will be fan less...and NO, I have not handicapped it....yet...

I have but one main topic for this day...if you haven't, you must...MUST...REGISTER TO VOTE!...this is the time to prepare for the most important election of our generation...4 years ago, many assumed the outcome and didn't VOTE!...the winner, via the Electoral College, NOT the popular VOTE, was an unproven bloke from NYC...Trump...the Republicans did show up and tally...as well as his compatriots, the Russians...the vast amount of Democrats assumed...yes, assumed...which made an ASS out of U and ME...that Hillary would win, regardless of whether or not...they showed up and made their mark...DUMB!...do NOT assume anything this time around...if you haven't yet...REGISTER...and if you are, VOTE just as soon as you can...

Yesterday, Trump held a 'briefing'...too bad...as he should have had Kayleigh do it...after his rambling 13 minutes of who knows what...he then answered a few questions from the press...ah, not a good idear...3 points of interest...the 17 yr old gun bearer that shot and killed 2...'he was defending himself'...nice...one more...his condemnation of the BLM people actions, to the 'peaceful protest' of HIS supporters in Portland, Oregon...as his people were just shooting paint balls and tear gas...I guess he thinks that is harmless...and...'peaceful?'...and finally, that these bad mayors and governors need to clean up their cities...all they have to do 'is give me a call'...'we will be there in minutes'...with what, Donny, your storm troopers?...

Woke Up Late

So sorry, kids...a ridiculously early tee time...and I woke up late...so this is going to be a wham bam...the big news, is all about the mighty Padres...trade deadline is today, and GM AJ went wild!

Picked up 7 players to add to this upstart group that we have going...2 catchers, a DH, and then some pitching...gone are some of our youth...as they are called 'prospects'...let's hope it works out for all teams involved...the core of the team, however, remained intact...

There are skeptics out there...some bloggers, and 'experts', who think that whatever is done, we still can't catch the Bums...listen, dudes, that is why they play the games...important to moi, is to see if they meld with whom we have in Brown and Gold...

Emotional Divide

The finality of the convention season is amongst us...the polls, affected by each of them...somehow, it appears a virtual tie...let the games begin...however, let's all remember, to use WORDS, not VIOLENCE in our personal debates...unfortunately, quite often that is NOT what occurs...the passionate fervor takes over...confrontations are the result...yes, my good friends...there is an EMOTIONAL DIVIDE in our country...perhaps, the worst it has been since the 60's...today, I am NOT fueling the fire...my personal beliefs will be on hold...ah, today only...to remind us all to THINK, before we react...

Case in point, is what is going, or what went on...in Portland, Oregon...their downtown has been a hotbed for demonstrations for over 3 months...the issues have run the gamut...but, it is clear that the fervor is deep seeded and ongoing...then, along came counter demonstrators last eve....Trump supporters...and all HELL broke loose...which is exactly what I am preaching about...in this delivery, what do we think WILL happen?...exactly...VIOLENCE!...I ponder if that is what the goal was...if so, we the people of the USA...are in deep, deep trouble...

The next 2 months of DEBATES, which just may sway the presidential election...might be filled with tension...and UGLY...this is what I fear...
