Da Weekend

Holy moly, Batman, we have made it to da weekend...POW!...the Prez told us that he was kind of certain that Putin had no involvement in the past US election...cuz, he said so...there you go...BAM!...has to be the truth...right?...dang, so why are we wasting so much time and moolah on investigating it?...I mean, c'mon...

SMASH!...I don't know when we have heard and seen so much commotion about head injuries, er, concussions...in most all sports, except boxing and soccer...hmmm, where the head is an intricate part of the 'sport'...the Celt's PG Kyrie Irving...this is NBA, kids...under the concussion protocol...and had to sit out the rest of his game...hmmm...BOOM!...let's see...gots to have them doctors at all sporting events, now...used to be, only at football games...the times they are a changing...

RIP!...the UCLA blokes, who allegedly shoplifted in China...are still in that country as the rest of the Bruin entourage flew back into the US...isn't this why we have diplomatic sites in all these countries?...to deal with these unfortunate types of...wait, maybe this is more than we think...but, the Prez was just there, right?...really, this is an eye opener...

Unnerving article in the SI (Sports Illustrated) this week...about a dude who made a mint signing fake autographs...and selling them on eBay, amongst other places...BOP!...so all them treasured keepsake items that you have with the 'authorized signature', just may not be what it seems...BTW, isn't that mag about run it's course?...of course, I still get it...

ZING!...I saw that the Beavs scored a whopping 99 points in their hoops opener...when is the last time they scored that much?...like in 2 games combined?...is there promise on the horizon?...

HOLY!...the game for da weekend just has to be in Miami...where the undefeated Hurricanes host the entire raging Catholics of the US...er, Notre Dame!...MOLY!...like Snooki, where you can hide your Duck pom poms for a day, and look into your closet for them Irish ones...and cheer on the boys in blue, er green, er whatever color they are today...now...da winner will punch a tix into the final 4...

Out of Florida...a school is selling bullet proof back packs!...SWOOSH!...the more I think about that, it seems like a good idea...with a velcro pocket, that has just enough room for a hand gun...you know, just in case...I made up the last part...

Today is Veterans Day...my calendar app went berserk and listed yesterday...as it...anyway, thanks to all those who defended us...RIP!...and that is not only Batman talk, but real, too...

In a few weeks we celebrate Thanksgiving...something about the Pilgrims breaking bread with us heathens...and then taking our land away...maybe I have lost something in the translation...POOF!...it's a time to celebrate family...nowadays...well...we do everyday...but, we do like that awesome turkey din din...and we are debating about what to do...

Back At Ya

Well hey to everyone!...been gone on a bloke's golfing excursion...called the 'Bozos'...like apropos for sure...to a spot in the desert, Borrego Springs...the area actually has 2 golf courses...this one, we engulfed, was the Country Club...the other is Ram's Head...amazing that there could be 2 out there...it's just not that easy to get to...nevertheless, a great get away....there were 28 of us that did the trip and the T...me?...started OK and by the final day was kinda normal, ha ha...and yes, it's great to be home...enough of the traveling for awhile...

So we caught up on some video thingers...last eve...Country Music Award one intrigued me the most...hosted by Brad Paisley and Carrie...they do such a super job at that...many of them stars do the performing...and this is the one...that the old style country singers, usually win...even though they aren't the ones, that MOST people listen to...hmmm....the three in question, are Miranda Lambert, Chris Stapleton, and Garth Brooks...quick, name me a tune that they have had in the past year?!...really...oh well, it's their time...and head scratching for the rest of us...it is what it is...noticeably absent were Blake Shelton and Jason Aldean...and the gals, Martina McBride and Sara Evans...and 'others'...and this...Garth, when doing his appearance...lip-synced his song!...yup, this is the dude who won 'entertainer of the year'...shame in low places...

Amped up on all the airwaves...is the Russian connection to our voting election of the past year...who they infiltrated and by whom was the passenger...so be it for the web net...he accuses them, who accuses the others...and the assistants who were meeting with whomever...allegedly...Demos fingering out the Repubs...then vice versa...seems to me...and I have said this before...that I were in power...I'd hire a lot of geeks to tighten up the mysterious internet...

Let's try to understand this...two USA Universities travel to China...on a goodwill mission, I suppose...to play a hoop game...hmmm, who has the bucks to do this?...one may question...and then...3 of the players are arrested for stealing...what?...the laws there are different than ours...so it is being said...well now...the 'alleged' guys were from UCLA...and one of them was from the infamous 'Ball' family...oh my...

One of the 'other' Balls...who is the top pick of them Lakers...is having an impact on the league...really...the NBA...he is a good player...sees the floor as well as any PG...plays fine D...but...here it is...can't shoot...the worst in the league...there is the conflict...man, it would be tuff to be him...with his helicoptering daddy...hmmm...and the fans can be brutal...

Enuff of that fam...right?...it will stay in the news...and I'm not sure that the daddy doesn't like it...weird and pathetic, at the same time...

Prez T wants to offer the North Korea foo some type of peace offering...geez, any movement towards sedating the issue would be welcome...yet, I have doubts...

In my travel to the desert...still in the Lexus SUV, which is now 13 years old...looks and drives like...new...what a fabulous machine...

Vet's Day...not sure if it's today or tomorrow...but, there isn't much more than one can say, other than thanks!...do what you are told...hmmm....and somehow they survived...

Where is the Safe Place?

Good morning, to you all...in yet another tragedy of mass murder...that seems to happen almost on a weekly, if not daily, basis...we are left shaking our heads...why?...this time at a Congregation...of all places...soft spots...usually without police protection...or armed guards...think about it...churches, malls, schools, streets, marathon races, concerts...big cities, little cities...urban, rural...the list is endless...and always against those who have no ability to defend themselves...and rarely, at an army or the like...so, the Q is, WHERE IS THE SAFE PLACE?...

We all want to know why...is it due to ISIS?...the scum of the earth?...hey, whoever does it, is scum...there must be a better word...revenge?...against a bunch of kids at a church?...or people watching a singer perform?...or those who are riding their bikes in a bike lane?...or just walking down a walkway in a bustling neighborhood?...what do they use?...rapid fire guns?...rented trucks?...pressure cookers?...the list is there...to do mass harm...

In the aftermath...the same responses have been given by our leaders...and those, who have the ability to make change...in how we deal with the availability of the weapons used...'pray for them'...please, this isn't working...how many deaths will it take before we have real censure on how and who can own a rapid fire gun?...no, I don't want to hear that it will mean that nobody will have the right to their single firing rifle...or their single firing hand gun...but, there is no reason on this earth for the common man, not the military mind you, to have one of these weapons in their possession...

It galls me to think that the reasoning for the lack of leadership on this, has to do with the lobbying in our nation's capitol...money thrown their way, to stay in power...er, to be re-elected...again...maybe, just maybe, term limits for the Senators and Representatives may help a lot...A LOT!...think about this...before it hits YOU at home...and the way things are going...it just may...

So where is the SAFE SPOT?...I'm not sure...are you?...

BC Recap

This was just a full day of ...fun...as the best race horses in the world got at it...in the Breeder's Cup...this time at our own Del Mar...10 hours...really...and yes, the Horse cashed most of the time...really, again...returned with more than I started, so that's a huge plus...every race had so many that could win...it was a supreme challenge...

Of course,  a sold out affair...people dressed up...and the event was so well run...checkpoints everywhere...as we had special seats, I guess...in the Turf Club...lah tee dah...you can't speak to us...noses pointed upward...none of them huge lines to bet...as we were not with the common man...ha ha...I now know what you white people live like...just kidding...

Looking out at the infield...it was packed...and...I have never seen so many people still at the track for the last race...all in all, a super time had by all...oh yea...notice the weather?...it was supposed to be cloudy and cool...not!...mid 70's and fantastic!...

I'm just not that excited about the final 4 in D-1 football...cuz my guys are not involved...is that selfish?...suppose so...but, the Ohio St Buckeyes are out...losing hardily to Iowa...Notre Dame appears a sure bet...'Bama and Georgia for certain...and then, who?...pulling for the Dawgs...need a west coaster, right?...

SDSU mauled San Jose St...as the first liners barely played the 2nd half...yup, that bad...Army shut out the entire Air Force...continuing a great season...I don't think the Cadets had one yard in the air...UW eased past the Ducks, 38-3, and yes...covered...you know, that Apple Cup should be a doozy...USC woke up and beat Arizona...they are hard to figure out...and oh my, Mike Riley's Nebraska got beat again...hmmm...swan song...

Me make shift FF team trudges on today...somehow, I am still in first...not for long, er NFL...need a terrific game out of the Raiders...who are not the most dependable blokes...and no...I don't watch much of the games like when SD had one...

Hmmm, two power couples in Hawaii at the same time?...the Islands couldn't handle it...good that we departed before Prez T and Melania arrived....

Most all of my 11 sources refer to the SNL skits...I like the headline ones...but the rest is filler...much like the vinyls of the 60's...the hit song and then what the heck is the rest?...not good music (then) and not funny (now)...am I right or am I right?...

This Donna Brazile thing just won't quit...the Hilz Camp is firing back...she still has one?...please please give it up Ms Clinton...you've done enough...the hot statement, is that she wanted to replace her with VP Biden...dang...
