I am happy to tell you that the Lakers disposed of the Nuggets last night at Denver ...and off they go to the finals to meet ----? The press would love to have a Cavs / Lakers final. The Cali Supreme Court upheld the voter's decision of banning marriages other than a man and a woman . They also decided to allow the marriages to be legal of those who got married prior to the law going into effect. This decision is supported wholeheartedly by the conservative side of this state , but they are dumbfounded by the fact that those marriages will stand...I think I said that right.... OK, the people have had their say ... BUT ...it is not as clear cut as the conservatives might think. I would like to go another step . The Christian right has always felt that their way is the only way... that you must feel the same way they do or you will go to hell or something ...that blind faith is better than no faith whatsoever ...it is written in the Bible that marriage is between a man and a woman...ONLY ...if somebody feels otherwise they are sinners and they need to change... Let's get real ...people have been created by people and are never perfect...whether you are ...

The Padres have run their win streak to a whopping 10 games with their huge comeback win at Arizona yesterday. Down 7-1, they rallied to win it in overtime with a two-run tater by the struggling Chase Headley ...this is just great stuff I am not a Nuggets fan, I am not a Lakers fan...but I like the Nuggets less... Carmelo Anthony is not a player to model yourself after...my bias goes deeper to the college he went to... Syracuse has harbored many lazy players who go there to play a zone and just shoot the ball every time they get it...not who you want to draft and have on your team...and he reverts back to his collegiate days much too often and even jogs back to the defensive end... I am baffled by the Magic 's dominance over the Cavs for this entire season...they don't have the manpower to be doing this, do they?
