Just a quickie...am heading out to the course for a round of , well, you know... walking type weather ...and I'll be wearing my tennies...smile... If you area a follower, and I know you are...I told you to take the Beavs and the points ...however, there is nowhere in my imagination that I thought that OSU would beat UO ...just that 35 was way too many for the Civil War ...hmmm....rumor is that the Ducks sat out a few key defenders...maybe taking OSU lightly...and nearly paid for the mistake...highly entertaining game....no defense played, so to speak...and the Ducks won, 52-42... Big time bragging rights and possible Final 4 implications in Texas... Baylor and   TCU   in a constant, driving rain storm ...these teams usually put up numbers like the aforementioned game in Oregon...14-14 and headed to OT...where TCU held on for the W. ..not really sure why I kept watching it... Sure seems like there is a lot of gun issues in Colorado ...am I right?...this time a cra...

It is the game in Oregon...wait, THE game...the annual CIVIL WAR ...no, not the one pictured...but UO / OSU ...I had it in Corvallis...nope, it's in Eugene...and get the point spread...35...wait, THIRTY FIVE! ...never heard of such a thing...pride by the Beavs will make this a much closer game... take the points, kids... Had to plan this early...but my present to Marsh for her birthday ...is a trip to Nashville and a concert of Blake Shelton there ...got both the flight and the concert tix already...am using a new site for the hotel... Back Bid ...check it out...I'll let you know how it works ... Gots to think that our own Chip Kelly has numbered days with the Philly Eagles...his style changed in the NFL...look for him to be a very hot commodity in the collegiate coaching ranks ... USC would be a perfect fit...egads, the Ducks would hate that...well...the games yesterday were all one sided...and lordy, the Panthers are good...dang, if I didn't bench them this week....

Hope you all have a grand HAPPY THANKSGIVING! ...time to embrace your family and friends...fuggit about rationale and reason for the day...it's all good now...enjoy the day...and cherish who is still in the present ...and take time to honor and remember those of your past... Don't judge us...but we got up our tree yesterday afternoon...played Christmas Music on the turntable...and put us in the best festive mood for quite a while...BTW, no better than Johnny Mathis...if you don't have a record or CD of his, quit wasting time...he's incredible... Some of our friends in the PNW are getting snow ...saw the pix on Facebook...way cool...er, cold...those of you in the Central Oregon area...that's why you moved there... Well, we have to make some scalloped taters to take to our dinner...I use the classic Horse recipe...text me if you want it...and made some whole cranberry sauce ...of course, from scratch...duh...more sweet than tart...and a little extra for M, w...

Morning, ya'll...actually have some rain here ...as most would say, welcome relief...I suppose...got the urge and walked the course yesterday...and, wooah, me legs are tight this am...ha ha...good workout...and with the temp falling a bit, I'll do more of that...finally... The Golden St Warriors are streaking ...duh...set a new NBA record for their undefeated start of 16 straight...this time versus the hapless Lake Show ...it was on nationally...and witnessed the demise of Kobe...1-14...and a mere shade of what he was...can't imagine, with his pride, him continuing on much longer...back to GS...so much the better team...and lordy, Steph Curry is playing in a another world than everyone else right now ....BTW...there is another streak in the league... Philly is winless after 15 ...what?...oh my... DWTS named their champ...taped it and did not watch yet... Bindi and Derek. ..also, kind of like in his own "Curry World"...he is the best...and most every partner...

Did you survive your weekend?...right, me too...I remember back in the days...when I was teaching and coaching... this was a short week ...and for hoops...a last bit of time prior to the commencement of the season...and, of course, Thanksgiving ... Gone now are our parents , who drove the gathering of us all ...it was what we did...somewhere...it could have been at the Oregon Coast...or at one of the parents...or, usually, we hosted...no doubt a bonding time... Cris and I always snuck out and played some golf after dinner ...regardless of the weather...ha ha... We still celebrate the day ...I guess...you can call it that... lucky to have some friends (the Maduzas, bless their hearts) in the high rise that have asked us to join them ...smile...will miss having Cris and Leila joining us...they are with her side of the fam...understand it and know they will have a great time... Hoops...my oh my... the Warriors continue their path to glory. ..winning number 15...at Denver...who, ...

Surging...as the UO QB returned... Adams is the difference maker in their season...without a doubt...and the tossup game last eve versus USC was not that...hmmm...the DUCKS have rekindled the fire in the belly of all faithful... 48-28 ...a nice effort...and I think that is 4 straight W's ...heading on into the final game...with the horrific Beavs ...oh my, who were down by 48 in the 2nd stanza to the Dawgs...in Corvallis!...hey...but weirder things have happened in the Civil War. ..and it is in Reiser Stadium...wait, I don't know if that's the name anymore... My gamble of picking up 4 tix for the Holiday Bowl may be a good one...think about this...now that Ohio St got beat by Mich St ...imagine a rematch with the Buckeyes down here in San Diego...could happen... SDSU is rolling... beat the Rebels bad in Vegas ...they play old school...and they play it well...as I have said before...I am eating my words about 'em...this is a good team, kids...hmmm...the new O...
