Through all the hysteria of the tragic police killings in Dallas, Texas... the undercurrent was that the assassinations were done by a team of thugs ...info out of that city, says no... it was but one deranged former army guy...our army guy ...there is no mercy for someone like that...sorry, you people who think otherwise...it is the word of the Horse... Man, there are people everywhere in the GQ ...the pomp and circumstance of the hosted MLB All Star Game has taken over the city...we have this awesome Convention Center, that is housing an ongoing MLB Fair of sorts...many past stars of the game are in attendance...you know, autographs and all....way cool...as we get closer to the actual game...of course, the home run derby day is a biggee...we have tix only for the actual All Star Game...enough for us...the rest we will watch on the pixels...just like most of you...who share our interest... There are times that can make you just feel awful....like what is going on in the world?...maybe more specifically, in the USA...as the terrifying and horrendous shooting of those people who are protecting us all ...in Dallas, Texas...the numbers are devastating...5 killed, and 6 wounded...all cops...at first, I couldn't believe the report...and the sketchiness of it all...still... I guess there were 4 snipers involved...?...one that was killed in a long, standoff situation...who, prior to his death...boasted about murdering...a lot...the others are in custody...with a lot of questions to be answered...it does give one the ultimate Q... are we safe in our country? ... Where do you turn for the immediate news that you want to follow?...CNN, FOX, MSNBC, or the local stations?...ABC, CBS, NBC...or do you go to the web net?...I have to tell you....I looked at all of my sources...14 that I use...all, have little more than the other... why is everyone so tight lipped? ... To fini...

OK, sure, it may be a long way up...but, I do think that the Padres are climbing the ladder in MLB...albeit, slowly...we are hitting and scoring like at no other time since our clan has moved to the San Diego downtown scene...really...and when...we can get quality pitching...the ascent will be even quicker...witness the 13-4 win in 'Zona...a series win there...yes, they are baby steps...but, they are in the right direction...this coming from a very cautious Horse... Morning, kids...the upcoming gala MLB All Star game lineup was announced last eve...included was our own Seth Meyers ...wait. no not him, it's Wil Myers ...who is having a great season...and another Padre...closer Fernando Rodney ...wait, he was traded away to Miami last week...but got the honor while playing for San Diego... so, in reality, we have two of them stars...sort of... Most every year I write about this...how the starters are decided upon... fan votes ...well now...sometimes the system breaks down...like this year's National League lineup... the entire infield and one outfielder are all Cubbies ...what?...from ONE team!...one can call it stuffing the ballot box...hmmm...excuse me, there has to be a better way...right commissioner?...
