With this bloody cold, the next phase is the sleepless night...eegads...I got like 2 hours of it...and I am so tired, my friends...better, but still...anyway, went out to the LR and watched a bunch of nothings until...I zoned in on a flick that had JLo in it...The Back Up Plan...I forgot how good she is...and will watch the whole thing in its entirety like soon...of course, go with the title, it has to be Sleepless in Seattle ...another very good one... Go ahead and question my doubts about Aldridge ...he is so soft...and had some key non productive moments...especially on D...you get him around the bucket and he never, ever closes, too...and his key, ugly turnover in OT was indicative of what he's like...he can score....but these are mostly fade away 15-20 footers...as PDX lost in Indy....don't give me the moral victory crap...and...I am beating a dead horse here....but if they don't hedge the pick and roll, they will be one and done... Did see the opening ceremonies...

What makes some people so much happier than others?...I mean, c'mon...when you look at them they are always smiling ...what do they have going that we don't?...being hit with this miserable cold, it is amazing how it affects your mood...er, mood swings...as I was watching the Ducks/Zona hoop game last night...and was furious at the lack of offense that Oregon ran ...I mean, who really cares?...I am down here in SD and so far away from that...so I post something negative on Facebook...and find the peops who are in agreement...I am communicating with the real Duckee fans... I refuse to watch the American Idol that we taped...I know I would just slam it...wait until I am feeling better...maybe, this was what was getting me in my last golf game...I was ready to quit the bloody game forever...if you thought I was smiling you are dead wrong...I was a piece of crap to be around.... So do you attach a smiley face to your texts or emails?...you are a real antagonist, aren...

So in my inglorious past I was known for being a bit full of myself...ha ha...as it was because I couldn't see 10 feet in front of my face ...didn't know it...you know, high school stuff....I bring this up as we met up with one of my old high school buddies in the desert...and...the talk went to olden times...and no...my attitude was not brought up...and as time wore on, I figured it out... as I went to an eye guy who prescribed my some specs ....wouldn't wear 'em...and stayed that way...people apparently were smiling and greeting me....and I didn't know it...oops...until I got me some of them hard shelled contacts...too late... I was already a master of the snub ...and I didn't know it...but... I thought I was smiling anyway ...turns out, what I thought was a big grin...was not...as my Native Face was just that...a stern look...felt like I was doing so from ear to ear....so now... I smile and curl up my face as much as I can...if I don't, I am NOT snubb...

Or maybe, downright scary...this version of the Winter Olympics ...in Russia ...as all reports are extreme...extremely NEGATIVE ... from the safety of the region to the safety of the snow...to the housing...to the roads getting in and out...to the hotels and their condition...the list keeps a growing as the people and participants arrive for the much heralded event ...seems like the Olympic Committee dropped the ball on this ...I know, it's early....but I have a very pessimistic view going... Have to admit it doesn't get much better than this oasis...our go to HAVEN just a couple of hours away from us... PALM SPRINGS ...found a beautiful hotel....right in the heart of the city...so we can walk anywhere....which appears to be our mantra...just 31 rooms...pool, hot tub, sauna, bar, food....eegads...anyway...we packed a lot into the 3 days, there....get this...met up with two sets of rain birds from the great state of Orygun...so much fun...meandered about the humongous street fair on Thurs eve...played golf at Mesquite...and saw Martina McBride in concert out at Fantasy Springs Casino...which by the way, has a massive new events center...go figure...and thanks to the Mackles who made it possible, by baby sitting our little pupster...again!... Got back in time to watch a bundle of sporting events...well, golf and football...as the Phoenix Open was won by a bloke who's daddy was a former star...and dang if he doesn't look just like him...the Walrus...er, his ...
