Feuds

Probably the most lame Glee episode ever!...the latest about Feuds...figure that the writers were bored and and hadn't covered this area before...but they had weak plots all around the "hour" of telecast...which in itself is like 40 minutes...counting all the commercials...nevertheless a big boo from Crazy Horse...AND...the new crew is a far cry from the originals...

"This is the worst game in the history of modern day basketball...John Wooden would have none of this...by the way, he was the best coach ever...inexplicably the guard went into the teeth of the defense...Lorenzo Romar is pulling his hair out!" ...all beauties by the color man of the Duck/Dawg game last night in Vegas...Bill Walton...by the way, Romar is bald...without a doubt, the worst analyst in the college game today...that one is Crazy Horse's...the game itself...brutal...as the Ducks won it in OT...horribly officiated...a nasty trend all over the land...blatant pushes all over the court...and they play on...geez, I would get T'd up big time...

WBC...the Dominicans beat the US...DR has a quality team...the US does not...many of these blokes are very average players...pretty obvious that it's a big deal everywhere but here...and you can watch it only on the MLB channel...you get that one?...

So, the Catholics have their new Pope...from South America...I bet the rest of the religions of the world wish they got this type of coverage...what percent of the world is this faith anymore?...

What on earth was that starting lineup for the Knicks last night?...it was like the oldest five ever...OMG...if PDX doesn't beat that group, it would be time to hang up the Converse for the year...ha ha...they won , so they hang on for that number 8 spot...the Lake Show lost Kobe for a bit...maybe like 2 weeks...as he got undercut on a jumper...I remember that was a tactic of the bloody Saxons back when I coached...maybe, just maybe, they can get past LA and Utah...they would if they played NY every night...

Speaking of feuds...LiLo and the Biebs...what?...he called her out...then she called him out...then he popped off about her tax prob's...then she said that she would get even...I say "who the bloody cares"...they are a pair to draw to...she has enough ahead of herself next week as she goes to court...he just wallows in the fact that his time is up...the peops are not coming to his shows and they are canceling...

USD showed a lot of class...they kept their coach Bill Grier for another season...his 7th...goes to show that good guys last...and his team has been getting better...has a good recruiting one coming in...hope for the best...

It's the weekend!

Vegas

Sorry kids, but I was busy!...you just don't sleep there...Vegas...stayed at the Mirage...part of the Mlife deal they have...and it is real lucrative...you must look in to it for great prices...especially for guys like me, who don't spend lots of dollars on the tables...alias, White Whales...definitely not me...

We went everywhere...visited the sights, that included the famous Bellagio Garden...which was emphasizing butterflies...very cool stuff...the new Aria...the sparkly Cosmopolitan...the building of the Quad...Gilley's at Treasure Island...Mon Amie Gabie at the Paris...Marsha's fav...the list goes on and on...

We went to a show...the Million Dollar Quartet...a music show about a meeting in '56 with the famous Sun Record peops...Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, and Johnny Cash......good golly miss molly, it was great fun...a can't miss part of your trip...you will be surprised...won't tell you much more...we had a private booth for it...just like old time Vegas...ha ha...

The Mirage itself was being renovated...the sports book, the BB King Restaurant, in particular...the pool is fantastic...we were blessed with awesome weather on Tuesday and laid out for all we wanted...we both got too much sun...imagine me red...and it was packed!...

Which leads me to this...you can't believe how many people are roaming the streets...it's like a summer day there...has to be a major destination for soooo many...of course, it helps that there are two college hoops tourneys just starting there...Pac 12 and the MWC...on one table that I actually spent some time at...had peops from Texas and London...really....the bloke from England said there was a non-stop from Heathrow and they always come here...

The negative...everywhere on the strip, somebody is trying to sell or give you something...and there are loads of street bums being who they are...you have to look straight ahead and act like they don't exist...if you stop, you will be harassed...

We ate at Ruths Chris...not so earth shaking but...it had just opened...a month ago...at Harrahs...and it is fabulous...so huge...and a great view...there is no better steak, kids...

We were there during mid-week, so not all the great acts are on stage...next time we will go on the weekend...and stay an extra day...with such a short stay you just can't get enough in...

It's a 55 minute flight from SD...we use Southwest...who do a great job...not sure if you use this airlines...I always pay for the early board fare...gets me A seats...just secures you that you get what you want...

One night we had a drink at Rhumba's...where you sit outdoors...order fruity margarita type drinks and smoke Hookas...whatever that is...of course, I lit up a stogie...and with the blokes in the next booth doing the same...there was some mighty whitey smoke filtering about....the peops across from us thought that the new Pope had been chosen...

Well kids, I am back...time to get out to the club and practice, practice, practice...

The Afterglow

Good morning, all...we are back from the mini vacay....thx again to the Morrises for such great hospitality...the reason for the season?...t...
