CRAZY HORSE

To follow up my yesterday's blog post... T-E-N-S-I-O-N! ...at first, it was 4 cities that were involved...last nite, there were reportedly over 30! ... most started peacefully...and some escalated to rioting ...over the death of a black man, by a rogue cop...in particular, in Minneapolis, Minnesota... this you all know by now ...the cop (now former) was arrested, and charged with 3rd degree murder, with a maximum of 25 years imprisonment...and manslaughter, that carries a max of 10 years... but, is that not enough?...that is the query ... As the rage builds up in the country... what are the answers? ... just what is enough? ...this is deep seeded, going back to the beginning, in the slavery issue...I get that...but, why now?... is there more to the story?. ..is this partly due to the pandemic?...for sure, many have abandoned the quarantining...the 'social distancing' is a joke...for those in the streets... The debacle in Minneapolis , where there APPEARS to have lit...

Morning all, as we take a brief respite from what is going on...seemingly, throughout the country...and I am not talking Covid 19, this time...but, am referring to the civil unrest of those... PROTESTING! ... the killing of George Floyd by some bad cops ...did I say that right?...as one such statement came out, 'nothing bothers a good cop, than a bad cop!' ...in Minneapolis , the protesting turned ugly...riots...which are a result of mob mentality...out of control...looting, chaos, then, burning buildings. ..all that indeed happened in Minneapolis...even a police station in flames, there...oh my.... CNN, MSNBC , and then later, FOX ...the newsies... were covering 'live'...harrowing broadcasts for sure ...as the uncontrolled saw the television cameras, and shouted whatever they wanted...gave different hand and finger gestures...all the while, the police were not around...nor the firemen...nor the National Guard...nope, nobody... the riot was uncontrollable ...I went...

Alas, we are now in the FREE SPEECH area of the United States of America ...there is a storm brewing in DC, er the White House... as Big Orange is erupting! ...an executive order is forthcoming...and, we the people, shall be in the front row of what he is intending to do...let's get into it... The method that Donny has used to get his 'word' out has been the vehicle called 'Twitter' ...a privately owned company that inhabits the vast world of the internet ...he found in his presidential campaign, that he could say anything that he wanted to... ANYTHING ...and not be questioned by ANYONE ...did NOT have to stand up at a press conference and be interrogated by those who had queries as to his logic or statements...in his eyes, a perfect tool to deliver the goods...ha ha, the message he wanted out... AND , there need be NO facts involved, if he so chose...yes, FREE SPEECH! ... Have you EVER done a follow up to what the public says, after one of his 'Twee...

Three o'clock in the morning ...yes, sir, that was the time that I first awakened this am...oh my...Marsh forgot to turn off her phone...and there was a beep of sorts...couple of times...and BOOM!....the Horse was up...you ever do that?...so, I just tossed and turned...and get this...I kept having this tune, keep ringing in me brain... 'What Time Is It?' ...you see, I watched one of them PBS Specials, the Doo Wop Era ...and that song kept resonating...sung by the Jive Five ...really...not sure how many of the originals were on stage...but, it was and is very catchy...actually a fantastic show piece...they were known for another big smash, 'My True Love' ... The news of the day , was one of sorrow and despair ...lord, I could be talking about a lot of things, right now....true?...but, the horrific tactics that some police did to a man in Minnesota ... knelt on him, as he cried for 'breath'...and he died. .. four of the cops that were in the 'procedu...

Morning, kids...my title today, is a carryover from the past article of the songwriter/personality Paul Williams ...since I wrote about him, did you take a look at his past?...anyway...one of his hits that he wrote was for the fantastic group of the 70's, Three Dog Night. ..which I listened to the entire trip I made to LA, back in the 70's. from Orygun...true dat...a cassette, by the way...the song I am featuring is 'Just An Old Fashioned Love Song' ...gosh, time has marched on...as the group is down to one...One Dog Night...amazing the powers of memory...I can recall 'Never Been To Spain' , something like that, too... The Tiger/Lefty golf match...now dubbed 'The Match II' ...was the most watched cable event EVER! ...imagine a golf thinger being that...well, all that...it's what people talked about yesterday...everywhere...on the course, in the paper, on the tele... EVERYWHERE! ...really, it was fun stuff...and would have been better, with go...

It is the time to honor those who have given their lives for the country... Memorial Day ...regardless of political shenanigans...and beyond the wars...it shall be for all who have lost their lives...we pay tribute to them all...perhaps, the one such 'holiday' that is NOT monetarily driven...presents, not withstanding... Seemingly lost in the present day pandemic, as we endure such a colossal virus, that thus far, have NO solution for...other than preventative methods of safety...from it...as we wait, hope, and pray that the scientists will come up with a vaccine that will...work... And in the interim...Be Safe!... Did you watch the golf match yesterday?...played in a driving rain storm in Florida...which put a slight hamper on the event... Tiger/Lefty...with TT and Peyton ...it was fun...and they raised a lot of cash for the charities...exactly not sure, how they get the $...but still, we hope that it gets where it should...anyhoo...it was at Tiger's home course....

Sometimes, the title just comes out perfect...well, an indicator of what time we live in...maybe, exist in...as the pandemic rages on...numbers of deaths not only debilitating, but alarming beyond belief... Snooki's song of the day ... 'Sunday Will Never Be The Same' by Spanky and Our Gang ...the lyrics are singular in the missing of a loved one...but, it certainly could apply to many, who have lost theirs... eerily similar to the recognition of the Memorial Day for fallen soldiers... The group is titled after the legendary comedic ensemble from 1922-1944!...originally called 'Our Gang'. ..then morphed into 'The Little Rascals' .....that filmed many episodes.... Spanky and Our Gang ...the lead singer, Elaine McFarlane , her face resembled the lead of the originals, Spanky...anyhoo, the singing group had a couple of other smash hits...both, so melodic... 'Lazy Day' and 'Like To Get To Know You' ... the era?...well, the blog title one, was...
