Hey Kids....this is the most unreal non-Halloween thing ever...it is called Comic-Con ...held here at the convention center...and there are literally hundreds of thousands of participants in it...and most dress the part...if you are sci-fi, then you are one of these fellars.. .the stars are here to boot ... Angelina Jollie , Bruce Willis , Sylvester Stallone , Christian Slater , Will Ferrell , and on and on...Gaslamp is the most crowded ever, for 4 days!  Tough on Sammi as she meanders through the crowd on her way to her walk... The Padres got a big one on the road last night in Pitt...watch carefully for the PDX closer Frieri , who got the 7th last night...he's a good one...and I fear, huge trade bait...the two top mentioned OF's we were looking at, each got injured yesterday...weird, huh... Latos comes off his sneeze DL and pitches tonight... AGonzo only 1 hit in the last 4 games... So we did make it out to Del Mar yesterday...what a beautiful park...after a couple o...

Morning kids...I am back from the family reunion ...which we hosted...and it was great to see the fam in such good shape...now...the itch has got me scratchin'... Del Mar is up and  running and I gotta get out there...there is some reservations about the poly track that have to be cleared up...but, it's probably a Saturday visit for me... Padres ...won one of three at hotlanta...my take...the Pads shut down the hottest pitcher in baseball, Matt Latos ...yes that's right...for 2 weeks and missed his scheduled start against the Braves ...so a giveaway game... AGonzo had a horrific series and looked nothing like an all star...and why does Buddy ride a struggling pitcher?  Ryan Webb is in a funk...and off he trots him to get banged up again...he did that last week to Gregerson ... rest him foo... Friday already?

Opening day at Del Mar . ..and I'm not going...still remnants of the reunion...hope to get out either Thursday or Saturday.... In the 1st of the big game at hotLanta, David Eckstein pulled up lame as he tried to score the 1st run of the game...unfortunately, he'll be out at least 2 weeks...rats...as the Pads lost to the Braves... OK, kids, drizzle here this am...Sammi and I got our ears wet... Shopping for furniture for our new condo...been all over SD for stuff...looking for white this and that...def a minority of all things made... The new phone I ordered 3 weeks ago is finally being shipped...the Droid "Incredible" ...hope it's worth the wait...hate my Blackberry... Ate sooooo much yesterday I am going to fast for a few days... LiLo goes to jail...really feel sorry for her...a lot worse stuff happens in this world, and they never see the clanger... Alas, the Padres swept the DBacks and head to hotLanta for a 3 gamer...which pits the 2 TOP teams in the National League...that so upsets the eastern writers soooooo much...there is but a dozen days left to wheel and deal....and...most everyone feels that the Pads are going to add a "big bat" during this time...the new GM Jed Hoyer, must leave his mark on this team...but hey, everyone has picked the pace up...go ahead and walk AG... And...OOEE destroyed the field at the Open...did you see this coming? The fam is here and it is a grand thing... The Padres are on cruise control....their offense has opened up and had consecutive 4 HR nights ...as they are stretching their lead out in the west...the pen has to bridge the gap of losing Mike Adams for a couple of weeks with Ryan Webb and Gaslamp Thatcher ...done... T Gwynn Jr. had an inside the park tater, that I think is as fun as it gets...game 3 this afternoon, with the totally unpredictable K Correia going for the Pads... H Bell continues his dominance as THE closer...my noise for the day...when oh when do the Pads get a national audience TV game? The Open ... OOEE has it in hand, with the slight chance that England's Paul Casey catches him...where are the US of A lads?  On a plane back to the states...Now, this course looks to be fun, much more than the pasture land up at Pebble Beach...if I could just fly over there...sidelight... Lefty will never win on this course...he just can't hit it low... And for my, "I don't believe you" , bit...
